Dreaming of Kittens Pet

Marina had always wanted a cat. She knew she would not be able to afford one, but it never hurt to look around. Right? Marina wandered through the shop gazing at the variety of animals. She finally found the cat section and started looking through them so many different kinds and they were all so beautiful but also very expensive. As Marina looked through all of the cats, she felt her heart breaking in two knowing that she would never be able to afford a single one of them.

Marina looked over her shoulder and saw the shop keeper. "Hello Ma'am," she said, "Do you have any discounted cats?" "Sorry no," replied the shop keeper "All the cats we have here are full price." Marina nodded she had expected this but was still sad now that it was official that she would not be able to afford a cat. Then the shop keeper went to help another costumer.

Marina continued looking through the store trying to find an inexpensive pet. She looked over and the shop keeper was almost finished with their other customer. She approached them "Hello it is me again." Marina said, "I have another question." The shop keeper nodded for Marina to continue. "What is the cheapest pet you sell here?"

The shop keeper wordlessly led her towards the fish section and pointed to a large tank of orange fish. "Golden veil tails." Marina examined the fish they were all so adorable, but she was hoping to find a pet that she could hold and interact with. "They are lovely but I am not great at taking care of aquatic creatures." Marina thought back to the time when she was four and ate one of her family's pet fish. Marina did not want a pet that she could swallow even if she was old enough to know better.

The shop keeper led Marina to another section of the store this one held rats, "I have three types of rats here the common, the brown rat, and the grey rat. They all cost five galleons." Marina looked at all of the rats and in the cage of common rats she saw a rat and it saw her. Marina quickly reached in her purse and found exactly five galleons. At that moment Marina knew that she had found the right pet. "I'll take that one." Marina pointed towards the rat that had found her and the shop keeper picked the rat out of the cage. Marina handed the shop keeper five galleons carefully took her new friend and looked at her. "Oh Mochi, I love you."
