Ser Bunnington Emerges Pet Finished

The hero we deserve, but the one we'll never need.

Diagon Alley offered its hurdles for muggle-born, Logan Thomas. Or any 11 year old child in general, really. The random explosions of fire, wizard wheezes addicts, goblins running this shit, etc etc. Besides acquiring a wand, attaining a pet was a close second to the list of Logan's most anticipated tasks in the alley.

Upon entering the shop, it would liken to the atmosphere of the first petsmart ever. Everything appearing antique, but the essentials were there. Pet treats, caged animals awaiting a master. Unlike the experience with his wand, Logan was in full control of the pet that would accompany him on his seven year journey at Hogwarts.

To accompany him on this afternoon was Jane Thomas, his irritable sister. Their parents temporarily preoccupied with a tour guide to help with their navigation through Diagon Alley. Logan led his sister into the shop, who held a restrained demeanor given the unfamiliarity of this environment. She knew she did not fit in, and that allowed Logan to hold an advantage for now.

In his left pocket he held a foam helmet, and a carrot that he crafted to appear as a sword. "A bunny though, you sure Lo?" Continuing the conversation from the car ride towards Diagon Alley's entry point, where everyone in the family held their own debate for what Logan should acquire. For Candice, the owl was the most logical. The family would need to acquire one anyway for mail. For Jay, no animal was the best option. Logan's mind was better served on his studies and the soccer field. Jane much preferred a spider, knowing Logan was terrified of the friendly creatures.

"I told you, I have it all planned out. Ser Bunnington will be the voice of reason for all bunnies at Hogwarts. Whether victory or defeat, Bunnington will be there to lead his brethren." Jane offered a side-eye with a quirked brow. "You're so weird, how many times can someone watch Zootopia." She said to herself, losing Logan's side to look at the rats. "It's a good movie!"

The boy separated with his sister to the selection of rabbits. Scanning through the different shades, unfamiliar with the variations of each type. Mostly concerned with the one that appeared most knightly to him. It did not take long, standing proudly on his hind legs, staring directly towards Logan as he approached the confined space. He appeared calm and proud, as if off a recent poop or meal. Logan smiled brightly, opening the confined space to allow the bunny to nudge against his palms.

Once outside his space, Logan would place him on top of the cage. "Stay there, my friend. I formally announce the..." He withdrew the carrot sword from his robes, which was merely a jumbo carrot with two smaller ones applied to each side with an edible adhesive, forming a sword's hilt. "Ser Bunnington, first of his name. Knight of Hogwarts." Logan forced a serious expression, bowing down towards the bunny as he lowered the carrot to each side as a queen would do to a knight. Ser Bunnington eagerly attempted to nip the carrot as he did so.

After the knighting process was complete, Logan allowed Ser Bunnington to nibble at the carrot sword's tip. "Ah, sharpening your sword. Capital idea, Ser." As Bunnington was preoccupied with the carrot, Logan slowly placed the foam helmet with a strap around his head, fitting it firmly atop. Somewhere in the middle, Jane had returned to Logan's side with a dull exhale. "Dude..."

Following the knighting process, the trio approached the shopkeeper to initiate the process. It is as follows:
What animal do you wish to purchase? Two-Colored Devil's Spawn
What do you want to name it? Ser Bunnington
Is this a boy or a girl? Male
