☁️ Reena Delgado ☁️
"Mami, what is a flobberworm?" Reena asked curiously, shifting her weight so her bag of books wasn't weighing her down. Reena was on a trip to Diagonal Alley with her mother, shopping for magical items. Her mother tried to no avail to convince Reena that Diagon wasn't a typo of Diagonal and that it was in fact intentional. Reena didn't believe it for a second, stating that if she made spelling mistakes all the time means that others would too. That wouldn't have happened if wizards had Grammarly. She thought, mentally shaking her head at the laziness of magical people. Her mother took a good 3 seconds to answer Reena's inquiry, which annoyed her the tiniest bit. However, her annoyance was replaced with curiosity when her mother helpfully explained that flobberworms were "Worms... that flobber." Her mother tucked the school list into her pocket and then frowned at her daughter. "why?" Reena turned her neck to look at the location where she spotted the word, but it was out of sight as they kept walking. "I actually saw it on an advertisement. A moving advertizment. They were selling flobby worm-" Her mother cut in to correct her before Reena continued. "Flobber." Reena was about to continue, but got confused and stopped. "W- wait ¿Qué?" Her mother sighed and shook her head. Her daughter's attention span was not the best. "Flobber worm."

Reena frowned her head, trying to remember what she was saying. "Right, flobberworm. They were selling the snot of those in a shop." Who would want to buy flibbyworm snot? That's disgusting, even to Reena. Reena, the girl who carried roaches out of the house with her hands to keep them from dying. "Mucus?" Her mother asked, holding back a laugh. Reena raised her eyebrows. "Isn't that the same thing?" Her mother laughed and shook her head. Reaching over to hug her daughter, she muttered "oh Dios mío" Reena laughed with her, melting into the hug. "What??" Her mother didn't answer.

"-but don't you remember how SHE told HIM that HER friend liked HIM but HE knew that SHE didn't?" She waved her right hand around as she spoke, just like her mother did. They both spoke about a mile a minute whenever they were happy, but they understood each other just fine. "He should of listened to his mother! I told you that girl would be bad in the end, and I was right!" They both chatted about a T.V series they binge-watched as they ate some ice cream. As a little treat, Reena's mother had bought both of them a small ice cream cone. Reena got a fruit flavor as she always did, while her mother got... vanilla. "I know, I know. Okay, but what I don't understand is why you always get v- OHMYGODWAITWAITNOWAY" Her mother whipped around frantically, startled by her daughter's outburst.

"What what what?" Reena waved her hands excitedly, hopping on her feet. She shoved her icecream cone into the hands of her mother and ran into the shop nearest to them. Confused, her mother looked up and noticed what shop it was. Of course. The pet shop. Her mother sighed, preparing for war. As soon as she threw away the ice cream and walked inside, her daughter was shoving a cat in her face. "CANWEGETIT" Her mother backed up, wrinkling her nose. "Honey. You know how our apartment owners feel about animals." Reena pulled the cat back into her arms, cradling it. "Can't I bring it to Hogwarts??" Her mother rubbed her forehead. "Do you have enough money for a cat, mija?" Reena pouted. She knew she had lost.

She sadly handed the cat back to the shop owner. "No...." Her mother gave her daughter an apologetic look before turning to leave. Picking her head up, Reena spoke quickly. "Can't I just stay to look at the cats for a little bit? PLEASEE?" Her mother looked into her daughter's face, smiling. "Alright. I'll go to the clothing shop while you do." Reena gave her mom an excited thumbs up and turned to the cats.
