Alexx sat, legs tucked neatly underneath a desk, hand gripped firmly in her blonde hair close to her temple. She wasn't reading, really, as she had been staring at the same words on the page for multiple minutes at a time. Though she recognized the words, they felt foreign to her.

Perhaps she was tricking herself into believing that she was doing homework. She was here because she felt it was necessary. It's not that she wouldn't get it done eventually; Alexx was punctual like that. But if other people saw her studying and putting her time to good use, then, well, they might think better of her. Because Alexx had given up everything else. Given up Quidditch, as she needed more time to practice and get back to her usual self before she got back on the field (her multiple failures during her last game was a testimony to that), and given up her beloved position as the Editor-in-Chief of the Headliner as she felt... Out of touch, with both writing and herself. She felt as though she could not keep up with the pace of the lively underclassmen, and was doing them a disservice by remaining in the lead.

She had given up her identity. Someone who did... Well, everything. Once at the top of her game, now she was struggling to do homework. Pathetic. And she had no excuse for it all, it was just the turn of events in her life that made it so. Maybe it was a fifth year slump, if there even was such a thing. In any case, she felt ridiculous, wallowing in her own misery.

Not that Alexx had ever been a social butterfly, she would keep face where she could and make her appearance, likely with a friend or two on her arm, but she was never quite known as one to go with the crowd. But lately she had been feeling disconnected with what friends she did have. There was no telling what was going on with Reid; that boy was strange, there were night and day differences depending on the occasion. And, well, it's not like she had many friends aside from him, anyway. Rather... Acquaintances, that she didn't mind being seen with. Yet it had been some time since she's spoken to any of them. In fact, most of her graduating class was spread thin these days, or so it felt. Or maybe she just had a hard time keeping up. And then, of course, no that she minded the underclassmen, but she didn't go out of her way to befriend them, usually. No, in fact, they usually came to her, which she found quite odd, as she had been told on more than one occasion that she wasn't the most approachable of all the fifth years.

Alexx was quite the oxymoron. A former Prefect who kept her mouth shut save for witty remarks and the occasional direction, a pureblood who wasn't found of socializing and didn't feel empty without a social gathering, a Slytherin who wasn't presently going out of her way to prove herself to be the best. She was a walking contradiction at the moment. And worst of all, she was suffering from possibly the worst case of imposter syndrome because of it. She didn't feel like she was who she was supposed to be, but she also didn't know who or what that was.

And, instead of figuring all of that out as a responsible girl would do, she sat in the library, pretending to read, as it might make the people in here (nerds, probably) assume that she was organized and put together. At least she would not be an imposter in their eyes.

Clair was pretty close to being a nerd, if she was not one already. Anyone who knew her would know that it was not odd for her to be in the library reading or doing homework, but that was not the only thing she liked to do; she liked to watch people, yeah it sounds creepy, but the best way to learn is to watch and copy.

Today was no different, beside her sat a huge pile of books, in front of her was a quill and a sheet of parchment, to write notes or thought about the book she was reading.
As she bent her head to read the last line on that page she noticed something that sounded like it should be noted about, and maybe saved for later. She was just about to pick up her quill to write out her note when she noticed a older student sitting, nothing odd about that, after all Older students could sit. But this girl, she seemed to be asking to be watched, so Clair watched out of the corner of her eyes as she wrote down her note.

After a while of watching, Clair noticed that the older girl seemed to not be flipping the page, and if she was really reading, then she would have flipped the page by now.

Deciding that the only proper thing to do was to ask the girl if she needed help, Clair left her books and things behind and walked up to the girl.

"Hello, my name is Clair Fernandez, I'm a Ravenclaw. Do you need any help? I could not help but see that you have not flipped your page in a while."

It was turning out pretty well so far.

That is, Hiro's plan to meet and greet everyone at Hogwarts.

If he had time, he also wanted to see everyone from the other schools too. But Hogwarts was his priority since they had come to this school rather than one of the others.

He'd waited until it was almost 4:00PM, as Hogwarts students tended to have classes until that point in time, and then headed over to the castle. They were allowed to enter the place during breakfast, lunch and directly after classes were over for the students. Hiro had been quite energetic when it came to seeking out and talking to others. But then, that was nothing new, he was always like this. Upon setting foot inside, he debated about where to head to.

Well, he'd had success in the library before.

Might as well do it again and see if he could find others to meet and greet!

Hiro was wearing a dark blue shirt with the word BELIEVE printed on the left hand side of it. He was also wearing dark pants. It was a very casual look that he had gone for this afternoon. Well, that is, other than his unique pink hair. Because it was after classes had let out, whoever he approached would not know whether he was from one of the foreign visiting schools, or from Hogwarts. Not unless they had met or seen him before. Next time he'd change a little.

His clothes. Not his look.

Upon entering the library, Hiro looked around and spotted his targets.

Yes, two of them. There were two girls not far away from where he currently was standing. They would do nicely and he hadn't seen them before. Perfect, exactly what he wanted.

One of the girls looked older than him and the other looked around his age. The former looked as if she was stressing over something from the way she was gripping her blond hair in such a manner. And the other girl looked as if she'd just found her and was trying to help her out or something, if he was reading the situation right. Well, what was just one more person added to the mix? Hiro headed over to the two girls and gave them one of his brilliant smiles.

"Hey! Whatcha guys doin'? You look a bit stressed, you know what's good for stress? Exercise! And then you know what's good after some exercise? CHOCOLATE! Or sweets or any kind really. Want to head outside?" Hiro asked as he grinned at the two. Yes, his upbeat attitude was usually quite infectious. Would the two girls fall under his spell? Even if they didn't, unfortunately for them it wouldn't matter much.

Hiro was quite persistent.

Alexx didn't mean to- didn't want to- groan in frustration, it just slipped out. She thought, truly, that she was being incredibly nondescript. Turns out, her stress was extremely apparent. She needed to work on her poker face, as it would appear.

Nevertheless, she waved her hand at the girl- Clair, if she heard right. "No, that's alright. 5th year Transfiguration, quite difficult, as you might assume. Thanks, though." She was trying to be more polite, people sometimes told her that she should try it out. Her instinct was to be annoyed, and maybe she was, but she decided to start picking her battles. Or... Maybe just picking less battles was a good way to start. It was called "maturing", her brother Mikey told her. Growing out of the bitchy teenage girl phase and actually, like, controlling her emotions and developing somewhat of a filter. This was why she always tried to be accompanied somewhere- let someone else, someone more sensible, do the talking.

She cringed, only slightly, when approached by the unfamiliar boy. Not that Clair was familiar, they had never met, so she supposed they could both be considered unfamiliar. That aside, he appeared to be the rambunctious type. His presence reminded her almost of a one Ami Procoppio, quite the... Special and most interesting Hufflepuff, if Alexx had to pick any words to describe her friend. And Alexx did have a strange habit of befriending the most unusual Hufflepuff students there were.

The moment he mentioned exercise, Alexx thought that she might sob. There is nothing more that the infamous ex-Chaser would want than to be outside, training with team Slytherin right now. Exercise was one of her many strengths. But she couldn't be physically fit if she wasn't mentally fit (that was some stupid quote Texas had sent her in a letter when she confided in him about leaving the team). "Er, yes, hello. My name is Alexx." She said to both of them, trying to withhold her desire to snap. People weren't all bad, most people had good intentions, but Alexx could never be too sure.

Clair nodded "I can bet it is, I'm only a First year but my sister was a Slytherin, and she did all the years, and she claimed that it was the hardest class" Clair chatted, thinking about how Transfiguration was one of the harder ones, well she found most of the other classes simpler, Transfiguration was one she struggled with. If year one was hard, how hard would Year Five be?

"Is there A way I can help? Maybe your looking for something? Four eyes are better then two."
Clair did want to help, she also did want to read some of the book, to see what the higher years had in their books, Belle had never let Clair near her's.

Clair nodded to the boy, who had pink hair, "Hey! I think she is doing her homework, so being outside might not help, there are way more people out there then in here, so it might be louder." She had been outside only a half an hour ago, when she had been out to see if her friends were there, but in the masses of human bodies moving around to the places they wished to go, Clair had been unable to see any of her friends.

"I have chocolate in my bag, if you'd like any." The pink haired boy was right, chocolate did help a lot, whether it was the taste or the action of chewing did not matter. She went back to her bag and found the chocolate, it was a Fry's Peppermint Cream, and they were a favourite of Clair's.
Returning she placed it before the girl, Alexx as she had just said.
"here."

Hiro tended to be very perceptive.

Whether or not he acted on that perception was a different matter entirely.

Sometimes people thought he could be downright dense. But it wasn't actually that at all, he just didn't seem to care at times. Plus there was always the fact that he wasn't really concerned about what others thought of him, therefore he could always be 'himself' all the time. At any rate, Hiro did notice the slight cringe the older girl did and wondered what the reason for that was. Did she not like boys? Or perhaps she didn't like loud and chatty people?

As he tried to figure out what the reason was, she spoke. But it wasn't a response to anything he'd just said, which was interesting to note. Ah, yes. Introductions.

He'd completely forgotten. "Hiro." Hiro said with a smile and glanced over at the other girl, who spoke up too. "Ahh, yeah. I can see how being in a quiet place would be better to do homework for some people. But if you're stressed and can't figure something out, maybe a quick break would be good to reinvigorate the mind! Even if you don't go outside, you can still do some movements inside." Hiro said.

"Like, walking around the library at a brisk pace for a few minutes. Even that might help a little." Hiro suggested and looked over at the girl whose name he still didn't know. "What's your name?" He asked, curious. Names were everything, names to put a face to! She seemed a bit more chatty than Alexx but Hiro was still interested in both of them. He glanced back over at Alexx, wondering if he could possibly help her with the homework.

Not information wise but in any kind of manner.

"You know, if you need anyone to bounce ideas off of, or just use for whatever, I'm always free." Hiro said with a smile..
