When an observer attempts to look directly at it, the creature quickly hides behind an object or behind the observer and therefore cannot be directly seen. The Hidebehind supposedly uses this ability to stalk human prey without being observed and to attack them without warning. Said victims, including lumberjacks and others who frequent the forests, are then dragged back to the creature's lair to be devoured. The creature subsists chiefly upon the intestines of its victim and has a severe aversion to alcohol, which is therefore considered a sufficient repellent. Hidebehinds are described as large, powerful animals, despite the fact that no one was able to see them with the exception of Standing and those who have went on his paid tours it would seem. . .

Dresses that change color and appearance in accordance with the wearer's mood are all the rage. referred to as "Mood Dresses", these garments have come under scrutiny as of late as concerns for privacy are being forfeited for the sake of fashion.

The concern comes from parents who feel that clothes that can detect moods and then exhibit the wearers mood via a color change is a dangerous means of social control. That garments such as these can be used by institutions to pry into the personal thoughts and impulses of people ill-equipped to share those

thoughts. "Children are enamored by what is pretty and bright, not by what is right" a Hogsmeade resident warns. "They have a hard time understanding their own emotions and are often still figuring themselves out, by revealing this confused set of emotions we are setting children up for ridicule."

Moody Dresses lead designer Donatella Avery claims that these concerns are unfounded. "These allegations are ridiculous. these designer outfits are nothing more than party tricks. Pureblood Heir Speaks Out Against Halfbreeds

Are half-breeds truly wizards? This is a question posed by Bancroft Serafino Sr. to the Ministry of Magic last week has had members reeling. To be considered a wizard by the Ministry of Magic, a wizard does not have to even be fully human or even wizard at all as muggleborn half-breeds also infiltrate our schools and our streets. So how much "wizard" does one require in the United Kingdom to be a wizard? Just magical talent in someone without any known wizarding heritage? How is this possible he asks. In the United Kingdom a sizeable portion of of one's ancestry does not have to be a wizard. The Ministry has standards for what can own a wand, allowing goblins and house elves veelas and giants to cast magic that they were never intended to be able to cast. Extreme alleged advocates are ushing for one-fourth, one-eighth, perhaps even less. This leaves us to ponder, how little

of our blood has to be a wizard to be considered a wizard.

The United Kingdom's answer to the question 'Who is a wizard?" has long been that a wizard is any person with at least half human-wizardry. At some point this extended to at least half human-muggle parentage with a child that is capable of casting magic. This definition reflects the long experience with lax lawmakers that have tried to be inclusive and involve everyone. However, it is well known that wizards need to come from a wizarding bloodline, those that lack a wizarding ancestry are not wizards and those that are not even human are certainly not wizards regardless of the magical "spark" they have.

"Non-wizard wizards", a term coined by some pureblood families describes people capable of casting magic and legally able to own a wand under UK law, but are not true wizards. "Their magic is at best unstable," Bancroft Serafino Sr. explains. "They have no business learning and developing alongside true wizards," and he blames the slipping skill level of modern wizards as well as the extreme levels of violence reported in schools to be the fault of these non-wizard wizards.

"Giants are known to be aggressive, have a short and violent temper. The fact that they have had a child with a human is a filthy tragedy, but more than that... that [part-giant child] shares in their parent's propensity for violence." There have been reports of half-breeds injuring other students and eyes have been placed on Hogwarts over the past several weeks. Hogwarts is the only school that offers wizard training to half-breeds. There have been limited reports of half-breeds slipping between the cracks at other schools.

The limited number of upper classmen with no record of what happened to numerous children at Hogwarts has aroused suspicion. Headmaster Solomon Lear claims that hags were living near the school and that they influenced and caused harm to an unknown number of students. However, when asked to provide proof of this, the school was only able to provide verbal accounts and a visual record of 'key memories' which shown that there was an incident of some sort but no proof of the incident that could be concretely detailed.

Parents have begun to rally against Hogwarts, protesting their inclusion of half-breeds in the student body. Many blaming half-breeds for the reports of injuries and the fact that the school has gone through an "unusual number of school nurses" these past few years.

Some parents propose separating half-breeds from normal students. That only students with a full, true wizarding history can be taught at Hogwarts. That if there is a traceable non-human heritage, then they should not be able to participate in wizard schools. Some go as far as to say, a separate school is not good enough, these students should not be allowed to use a wand. Many of these half-breeds are associated with dangerous, violent races that do not participate in an appreciable extent with the wizarding world. The the term "being" is too strong a term to define describe them and that half-breeds are abominations.

Hexwizard to be Hosted at Hogwarts

In a matter of days, the Champions for the Hexwizard will be announced. Magical Society as a whole is waiting with baited breath to see what the goblet of fire chooses. What being the operative term as half-breeds have also been allowed to cast their name into the goblet of fire, much too the concern and ire of many established wizarding families. They cited that during the last Triwziard tournament a part Veela participated in the games and that the game resulted in the death of a human wizard.

A number of prestigious families have claimed that their sons and daughters have submitted their name into the goblet of fire. Their claim -- that victory would be assured if their child was chosen and the Daily Prophet believes them. Having spent their entire life learning and becoming accustomed to magic in their every day life, the brawn, wit and and arcane potential of a true wizard will be unrivaled in the tournament. Members of SCARAB have boasted that they believe a half-breed will likely be chosen as there are so many entries from so many schools. That for the cauldron to demonstrate true integrity that it is a given that a half-breed would be chosen from Hogwarts much to the alarm of members of a pureblood movement based on London that seeks to maintain the integrity of the wizarding world.

Professor Mulrain, a known member of SCARAB writes "Being human is more than the color of your skin, or your blood... the length of your bones or the size of your brow. Being human, the human that we should celebrate, is not to support the indoctrination of potential and worth coming with one's birth but rather by the merit of their efforts as that is what we can control, can fortify. Half-breeds are fiercely capable and have the capacity to be your allies and would make fast friends. Better our friend than our enemy." While many claim that this is simply a call of equality and peace, there are others that have called this open statement an implied threat.

Has Society Forgotten About Potter? Harry Potter, known years ago as "the boy who lived" and then the "boy who killed." We celebrated his accomplishment in felling the Dark Lord but perhaps we celebrated too soon. What does it say of a child that breaks so many rules, encounters a violent dark wizard and kills him before their seventeenth birthday? Perhaps that was a warning that Professors and the Ministry should have heeded. His time as an Auror where he spent over a decade catching dark wizards was simply believed to be a legacy of his youth when in truth perhaps Potter simply liked to kill. His murder of Dolores Umbridge was what brought his true nature to the surface.

Since his incarceration, it has surprised us at the Daily Prophet how little we have heard about his exploits. There have been numerous attempts on his life and pleas from advocates that Potter is not only innocent but some have went so far as to come up with elaborate scenarios to claim that he was set-up. One such comes from a man in a mental institution that claims Potter was merely in the wrong place at the wrong time and that he ended up taking the fall for a group of non-magical folk that have entrenched themselves somehow into magical society and intend to unravel society as we know it.

We know that this is an impossibility. The veil between the worlds is intact, muggles cannot find the various places we hide. They are not nearly clever enough and even if they stumble upon a singular facet of our world, they would never be able to navigate our world.
