Studying in the Empty Classroom Closed

Gwen was studying in the classroom. No one else was in it, and Gwen was glad. She often studied here when it was empty. It helped her focus. There was always those times, though, when she would have liked to be interrupted. Gwen wasn’t a generally out going person and she was bad at starting conversations. The ice was to thick to break. She looked up from her textbook and gazed out the window. Gwen was thinking about the upcoming ball. One of the subjects that She thought about most often was romance. As she thought of the ball, she imagined a boy who liked her. She sighed. Gwen didn’t think any boy would ever ask her to the ball. She certainly wouldn’t ask anyone. Too scary. Another thing in which she thought of often popped into her mind. How had she ever gotten sorted into Gryffindor? Then, she went back to studying. Her quill strayed to the edge of her paper and she began doodling little hearts and wands. Why was she so distracted today? She was usually moderately focused. Gwen sighed. She had to focus. She urged herself to stare at the textbook, but her mind just kept wandering. Eventually, she closed her textbook and just gazed out the window again. Enveloped in her thoughts.
