The forgotten coat and memory Closed

Background story: Lilly-Anne couldn't sleep, so she wandered out of her dorm room in the dungeons to sit by the lake. Lost in a memory, Lilly does not hear the fast approach of smothered foot's steps in where she sits

On the edge of the shoe brightly lit only by the moon that seemed to make the water glow sat a young girl alone on the chilliest night of the year. All the student by now had gotten into bed and began sleeping away the night to reach the next day but not Lilly-Anne Dean.
Lilly-Anne Dean as a kid had a tragic history and most people actually spent effort just to avoid her because they thought she was really strange and a way to guard in her emotions. This was not Lilly's fault but her tragic childhood.

Sitting up to enjoy the view of the moon hitting the lake, 11-year-old Lilly muttered to her self that she should have brought her coat out.
The breeze around lily picked up so she moved her hands to clutch at her knees to her chest.
You see Lilly has a medical condition known as insomnia from being dragged out of bed by her step-father when he was drunk.

Lilly's mind began to wonder about her mother
Lilly begins missing small unimportant details of her mother like her hair, her smell and her smile.
Lilly remembers the last time she saw her mother.

Her mother stood there standing at the altar once again but not Lilly's father but to Kevin blanks. Lilly spends days and nights begging her mother not marry him but she did not listen.
Lilly got up from her seat in the front row and made her way to the exit of the chruch,
Her mother Ellie asked what she was doing since the wedding was a pretty small one.
Lilly looked her mother dead in the eye and said I can't believe you, not even 2 years after his death and you married him.
Come find me or post me a letter when you're ready to earn forgiveness mother.
End of memory
By the end of the memory, Lilly was letting out to huge sobs to what she thought was the silent night.
Lilly clutches her legs tighter as the chills of the night begin setting in.

Somtherd foot's steps begin to approach to where Lilly sat hidden underneath a large tree because of this the wind surrounding Lilly becomes colder and she curses her self for not being a coat.

Gemini snuck out of bed, pulling a dark blanket over her to blend into the shadows of the castle halls. She made her way to the castle grounds and gave a slight shiver as the wind made its way down to shaken her bones. Pulling the blanket tighter around her she strolled along the path in the dark of the night, dimly lit by the moon guiding her towards the lake.

Slowly she walked with her head held down. Tonight she couldn't sleep. Most nights she couldn't sleep, but back at home she had her animals to keep her company when she stayed up late at night. Here she had no one to talk to and no idea what she was even doing.

I don't know why I'm here. Who am I kidding? I just learned about magic a couple of weeks ago, let alone the fact that I can do magic myself... How am I suppose get as good as these student who grew up with magic. I used to think I had problems at home, but now I feel even more hopeless.

Gemini couldn't help the tears that escaped her eyes, especially as the wind blew at her face. A noise suddenly appeared from behind the trees and Gemini quickly wiped her tears to hide them from whoever was hiding.

"Hello... Is anybody there?" Gemini exclaimed between sniffles.

She made her way around the tree and saw a shivering girl about her age.

"Oh my god, are you okay? Here. Put this on." she said as she quickly moved next to the girl, taking off her blanket and placing them on the girl's shoulders.

Feeling a soft material hit her shoulder Lilly looked up at a girl her age. Standing there in the dark stood another girl covering her in a blanket.
Thank you muttered Lilly through shivering teeth.
Not really thinking about it, Lilly asked the girl if she wanted to sit down next to her, this surprising didn't bother Lilly, you see Lilly didn't know how to make friends or talk to people due to isolation from other kids
So the girl plonked her self down on the grass next to Lilly.
Seeing the girl beginning to catch the shivers, Lilly grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around the both of them.
It was a little tight and a bit to close but now they were warmer, well somewhat warmer.
Looking way form the girl, Lilly stared out into the dark and murky looking waters of the great lake.
A shuddering sign came from Lilly's left so she turned to look at the girl.
It was very dark but even the moon didn't hide the young face staring back at her.
A shuddering cough left Lilly body causing the girl to look at her in concern but Lilly waved it off.

The girl awkwardly began making a conservationist in which Lilly replied my name Lillith -Anne but just call me Lilly.
The girl's question didn't surprise Lilly that much

1) what was the girl's question?
2) why was the girl out her at night

"My name is Gemini. If you don't mind me asking, but are you okay? And I don't want to sound pushy, but I know that look on your face and if something is on your mind then maybe it could be a good thing to share with a complete stranger," she said saying way too much, but she understood the emotions hidden on Lilly's face. It seemed all too familiar to her and all she wanted to do was find a way to help.

Trying to give the girl a reassuring smile, Gemini couldn't help curling up closer in futile attempts to eliminate the cold that made its way to her bones. The girl's face looked as if she wanted to share something with her, but either couldn't trust her or didn't know how to share in the first place. Gemini thought back to her days at home, when she never even knew magic existed. She was always alone or hiding out, never trusting anyone and keeping everything inside. It destroyed her.

"If you don't want to share right now then that's fine, but I'm just gonna sit here with you, if you don't mind. We can stay silent if you don't want to talk. I know you don't know me and I don't know you, but... maybe we can changed that," she said unsure, as she fiddled with her thumbs.
