if there was one thing Juniper hated, it was girls who intimidated her. Girls who posed as a threat to Juniper needed to go down. There was this one girl she needed to keep her eyes on, someone she saw around Draven Mirador. Her kind of sort of boyfriend who spent time with too many girls. Not that she didn't trust him, she fully trusted him. She just didn't trust other girls, especially this one. Because this girl wasn't safe, she wasn't normal. If anything, she was dangerous.
Sort of.
But Juniper suspected mental instability around the girl and it didn't exactly make her like this person more. Draven liked her, sure. But Juniper sure has heck didn't have to. She didn't even trust her. After weeks of watching her, she figured out a secret. A nice, sweet secret that could get Juniper exactly what she wanted. Now she just needed to catch the fifth year who was twice her size, alone.
Wearing her "lucky" overalls, she looked more childish than intimidating. The overalls had brown patches where she had ripped them in trees or bushes, and her green shirt underneath the overalls didn't pull the outfit together as she would have wanted. The good thing was that her doc Martens made her just a bit taller. She made her way to the library after searching the rest of the castle, praying the girl wasn't in her common room eating the bones of children.
As she played her eyes on the girl, she felt both dread and joy. Fear of the girl dripped within her body, poisoning her bones and brain. The happiness of what was to come flooded her mind to an extent where she didn't think about the consequences. She didn't think about what this girl was possibly capable of, all she did was stay in her stupid views of what she wanted.
"Hey you!" She called out from across the hall. She peered through the book shelf between them and practically radiated fear, but she hoped looked like anger and confidence. That was another thing.
This girl drained her confidence as fast as you could say "confidence" and she didn't like it one bit. Without her normal, outgoing confidence, she felt what was left of her feelings. Insecurity. The dreaded thing she knew little to nothing about, that only appeared when her father took just a little too long to respond to letters when he was drafted away. When the older kids surrounded her at school and her friends were no where around.
At Hogwarts, she didn't feel this feeling much. But it was here now. And it made her hate this girl more than anything. She rounded the shelf, fuming. "You fowl monster! I know what you are! " She raised her hand to show her pointer finger. Around the tip of her finger was a scar, where a certain owl had bitten it and broke it. "Remember this? Stay away from Draven!"
title: simply, it's obvious. You lost the game.

If there was one thing Aurelia hated, it was any situation out of her control. A situation that she did not have at least some control over was met with abhorrence. Whatever it took to then sway the next course of events to her desire, be it manipulation, deceit and intimidation, Aurelia would take on without a second thought. Surprisingly, such actions of an unhealthy habit were driven by a daunting sense of insecurity, hidden under the carriage of poised grace. Without that underlying motive, a Slytherin she may have as well been.
The near upcoming ordinary wizarding level exams were a dose too much stress. Months ago, when Hadrian was around, he served as a significant distraction from both the anxiety and stress of academics, but now that headed back to America, most of her daily routines were cramped with multiple two-hour sessions of dutiful studying. It wasn't too healthy, if only someone would tell her that.
In the afternoon after classes had finished the course of the day, Aurelia found herself in the library again, seated at the further end of the library, quill in hand and textbooks on the table. Alas, the library, unfortunately, was not a place where peace and quiet was well maintain. Only less than an hour she was spared before a sharp voice emerged from the nearest book-lined shelf. With her attention snatched away from study at the inconvenient disturbance, a grimace formed on her pretty visage, twisting the corners of her lips downwards. Apparently, the presence that she exuded was not nearly enough to keep some persistent people away.
Turning, she would be met with a pair of brown eyes comically peering between two books on the shelf. Monster? Fowl? Was that a threat? But it was not those words or the finger, or there lack of, that would catch on, rather, the mention of Draven would pull her attention entirely towards this strange girl. Then in a second, her need for peace would turn into a need for some ammusment. Glaring at the small text of pages was certainly no the healthiest for her eyes, perhaps a fun break would do her some good. The fifth year was curious indeed with what affiliation this girl had to her dear Draven.
Feigning some friendliness and an alluring gentle smile on her face, she would attempt to lure this girl out of the window of books, that certainly provided some assurance for her. Aurelia knew her effect on others, how unsettling she could make someone feel even without a word or action. With a voice like silken honey, she would respond in a surprisingly calm demeanour, if the girl was expecting a more violent response, this wasn't it. "I'm sure this is a simple misunderstanding, dear. Let us talk about it shall we? Come sit, I have some time, perhaps get to know each other better. A friend of Draven I suppose?"

Her attempt to shake the scary girl didn't seem to succeed. Quite the opposite, since Juniper was convinced the girl found this amusing. That was simply absurd. The look the fifth year gave Juniper was downright disturbing. From all June knew about this girl, the delicate warm voice that carried from her mouth was everything but what she expected. Quite smile tugged at her mouth as she cocked her head to the left then the right. "you know, if you actually knew me you wouldn't call me 'dear'. " despite her suspicions, the friendly voice was compelling. She wanted to play this game now.
"it is not a stupid misunderstanding!" She shook her finger at the girl and sat down, growing angrier by the calm demeanour this girl took on.
"YOU CAN STOP PRETENDING! I KNOW you're not this LA DE DA NICE PERSON!" She burst out in boisterous manner. Her heart pumped within her chest and her face picked up the flushed color that only came when she was tired, annoyed, or embarrassed. This time it was a mix of all three. She tried to collect herself before going on.
"do you know... I've been watching you." She felt a bit crazy. And she was. Juniper J. Kelly, was a little bit if crazy. It ran in the family. Heck, she was cousins with Cody Stevenson. Everyone should know to steer clear of their family. "-and not in a creepy way. You're not even normal. You're an animal!" She grinned, thinking she won so easily.
She leaned back in her chair, quite confident now. Overly confident, you could say. She kicked her feet up onto the table. "friend? Ohhh, you could say that. But we're more than friends. Which is why-" She tried to lean forward, resulting in her legs slipping from the table. She caught herself on the table before she fell off her seat and sat up. "why is why I want you to stay away." She nodded. Was this deal? Or an order. To seal her chance of winning, she wanted the girl to think she got something.
"listen to me, and I won't tell a soul about your little secret." there. The threat was out. If the girl knew to see it as a threat, of course.

They were quite the opposite in character, with Aurelia entirely poised and calm while the red-head was wild and abrasive. The soft coos of persuasion proved effective in drawing the girl from behind the shelves, finally allowing Aurelia to get a proper view of the girl. The bright colours of denim set quite an impression, one Aurelia was not likely to take seriously. Especially not with the tone of voice, the girl was hollering with.
Propping her legs up on the desk, she rambled on. Patiently and wordlessly, Aurelia listened. It was not that cunning of her to reveal her plans all so readily. Apparently, she had been watching, stalking in fact. For how long, Aurelia wouldn't know. In fact, she certainly had seen this girl around in the hallways recently. But never would it have occurred to her that someone was keeping a close eye on her, it was quite a disturbing thought given Aurelia's reticent nature.
But Aurelia's wouldn't take lightly to the threat delivered, or any threats for that matter. This girl had seen her form as a result of stalking. Another serene smile formed on her lips after the redhead was done. "You see if you truly think you and Draven are more than friends, why has he never brought you up?" Indeed, another act of emotional manipulation.
"There must be a reason I've never heard of you."
