Daniella was excited but also slightly nervous to begin a new letter conversation, and perhaps start a friendship. There was something special about forming a bond through owls while not actually knowing the other person. Daniella sat down in her common room, took out parchment and her favourite quill, and started writing.

I'm excited to have you as my Quill Pal! I look forward to exchanging letters and hope to have a long lasting correspondence. Allow me to start off with introducing myself.
My name is Daniella Green, and I just started my first year as a Hufflepuff at Hogwarts. I haven't really made any friends yet, but I hope we can form some sort of bond through our letters.
My favourite subject is Herbology, my least favourite being History of Magic and maybe Transfiguration? I don't know, it's very complicated and I'm not that smart.
I think people who really know me wouldn't expect this, but I love to read. It makes me feel like I'm in a different world where anything can happen, just like in a dream! Do you like to read as well? Sorry if that's a boring question, haha. This is actually my first time sending an owl.
I'm really looking forward to your letter, and I'd love to get to know about you.

Dear Daniella,
My name is Gemini, but you can call me Gem or Mini, I don't relly have a preferance for any of those nicknames though. Personally I don't have a favorite subject, really I don't like any of them. Reading and doing school work has never been my thing, but my older sister loved to read. I prefer to be outside exploring or just exploring the inside of the castle when if I can't co go out. I don't find your question of whether I like to read or not boring at all, I think it is agreat question for starting off geting to know someone.

I think this nickname sounds very cute. Gem sounds nice as well, but I know someone else with that name, so that would be confusing. If you want, you can call me Dani! My friends call me that too.
I'm glad you didn't find my question boring, If reading is not your thing, that's totally fine. Everyone has different interests, right? We do have something else in common though, and that is not liking school work.
Just like you, I enjoy being outside and exploring the castle. Some of my other hobbies are: painting, crafting and dancing. Especially ballet!
You wrote you have an older sister. I'm an only child myself, but I'd love to have an older sibling! I live with my dad and my cat, liquorice, but sadly she can't come to school with me. Do you like animals?
Before I end this letter, I'd like to let you know that you can talk to me about anything! (I mean write, not talk) We don't really know eachother, after all.

Dear Dani,
School work is so boring, who wants to spend all day studying something all day whenn I;m not going to remeber half of it anyway! I have never dancd before, but crafting is fun. My mother spend s alot of time creating little crafts to decorate out home with.
What do you think of Hogwarts so afr? I think it si a little intimidating with having to find all of out r classes and whatnot, it is ont that bad though.
