Rabbits, Frogs and Owls! Oh My!
Susan had left Gringotts with her parents and a bunch of money. After purchasing her school books, wand, and cauldron, she smiled. "Can we see the pets now mom?" she asked. "Certainly. Let's go see what you want to take to school." her mother replied. "Just remember you have a cat already for the restaurant." her dad said. Susan stopped as she saw a giant man that was about six times larger than her mom, well since she was so short Ernest seemed like a giant to her. "Welcome to the Magical Menagerie. My name is Ernest. This is my wife Anita. What pet are you interested in?" Ernest says as he smiles at Susan.
Susan heard screeching of owls on her way to Gringotts. "I heard owls earlier. Can I see the owls, please?" she asks. "Certainly little one. Right, this way." Ernest says as he leads Susan and her parents to the owls. Susan's eye caught the pretty feathers of an Arctic Owl. "This one papa! I'll call him Honeygold and his nickname will be Hootie." Susan says as she points at the Arctic Owl. "Alright. How much is it?" James asks. "15 Galleons." Ernest says. Susan's eyes go wide at the amount needed for the owl. "Does that include the cage, food, and all the necessary supplies to take care of it?" she asked. "Are you sure you don't want a frog or rabbit?" her mom asks.
"No! I want Honeygold." Susan says as she begins to pout. "Let her have the owl Rose. Then she'll be able to send us letters from school." James says. "Fine. You're cleaning up after it if it poops in the house though." Rose says to Susan. "Yes ma'am. I clean up and feed and play with Nutmeg all the time. How hard is taking care of an owl compared to taking care of a cat?" Susan says. "Would you like a cookie little one?" Anita asks. "Yes, please, ma'am." Susan says. Anita hands her a cookie with a smile. "Thank you." Susan replies as she takes the cookie and eats it. "Ooh. It's super warm and melts in my mouth." Susan says as she looks at her mom. "This reminds me of your sugar cookies mom." she says. Rose smiles and hands Susan the money to pay for the Arctic Owl. "Thanks, mom. Thanks, dad." Susan says as she takes the owl in its cage with her to the register. She hands Ernest the money for the food, cage, owl, and the rest of the supplies.
