S-s-spider!
Sophia was flipping through her copy of Book of Spells by Miranda Goshawk when it happened.
Charms certainly wasn't her strong suit, so she tried to study hard just to keep up. Being as clumsy as she was, she struggled pretty badly with proper wand motion. It didn't help when her American accent butchered her incantation.
She sat in a corner in the study room, arms propping her head up as she read the words on the page and whispered the incantation for the Mending charm - one of the first charms she was supposed to know, and theoretically should have learned by now. She tried her best to mimic the proper pronunciation as she studied the wand movement carefully in the spellbook.
Suddenly, a movement gained her attention from the corner of her eye. It was a soft movement, quick and subtle but still out of place.
Sophia didn't have a lot of things she openly admitted to fearing, but spiders were certainly one of them. They crawled and made webs and just thinking about the idea of one crawling on her skin made her shiver in disgust, so when she saw one crawling onto her book, she did the one sensible thing.
She panicked and jumped back as fast as she could from the book. Unfortunately for her, the spider wasn't going anywhere. It seemed intent on making a new home in her textbook, and there wasn't a thing she could do about it. She refused to get anywhere near the terrible little arachnid.
With her mind in a jumble, she tried to formulate a plan. She was a Ravenclaw. Surely she could figure this out. She needed help. Someone brave enough to handle the little fiend that was perched upon her book.
'Someone brave,' she pondered the thought as a metaphorical light bulb went off in her head, 'Brave! Gryffindor!'
She frantically moved from student to student in the study room, desperate to find a flash of red in the robes of those around her.

S-s-spider!
Ariella was walking around, wondering where she can seat comfortably. A few minutes later, she finally found an empty table with a lamp, beside a tall bookshelf. She sat and started to read and immerse herself with the book 'Fantastic Beasts And Where to Find Them' by Newt Scamander. She's so fascinated by the beasts and finally know that some of the creatures that she knows are existing. Giggling at the moving picture of a Niffler which is one of her favorite creatures in wizarding world.
So cute. She thought as she looked at the image. Cute creatures are her weaknesses and she wants to adopt one. The only thing and reason why she is having 2nd thoughts is because she don't know how to take care of it.
Ariella was so focused on reading the book when she heard fast foot steps coming towards her.
Huh? She turned and saw the girl in transfiguration class, named "Sophia", coming towards her direction.
Looks like she just saw a ghost, she scoffed at her own thought. Sophia was finally beside her. Ariella stared at the now fidgeting latter.
"Uh...What's up?" She asked the red head who looks in distress.

S-s-spider!
At last, Sophia found a student adorned in the red of Gryffindor. The house of courage. Of bravery. And it wasn’t a stranger. It was the girl from her first Transfiguration lesson. Her name started with an A, but, at the risk of sounding callous, that didn’t matter in the moment. Now they could take care of this situation once and for all.
“There’s,” she huffed, out of breath from the excitement, “a s-spider on my textbook.”
The thought of the little creepy arachnid made her skin crawl, but she had to explain the situation to get help. She grabbed the Gryffindor’s sleeve and tugged her in the direction of her textbook - and its invader.
“I- I couldn’t get rid of it. I could have cast the Levitation Charm, but I couldn’t stand the thought of it possibly hovering over me. I thought if Tarantallegra, but watching it dance is just as scary. I don’t know what to do, and I need my textbook. Please help!”
She was whimpering, almost crying at the end of her rant, but she was a witch that was afraid of spiders. All pride had been out the window from the start.
Sophia tugged the Gryffindor’s sleeve even harder, hoping she could drag - er, convince the girl to help her. She watched the girl with a look of pleading expectation, wiping her tears with her own sleeve as they formed.

S-s-spider!
There it went. There went the last shred of Sophia’s self-esteem and pride as the other girl certainly noticed the embarrassing tears forming in her eyes.
As the duo reached the desk, she was even more embarrassed, however. Not only was this spider rather small compared to others, but it was also barely moving. It was as if the arachnid was taking a nap - did spiders take naps? - on her text book, which was still open on the same page.
Her shame at her fear felt even more silly now. After all, in class they’d learned to repel doxies and ghosts and imps. What was a spider compared to actual magical creatures, beings and non-beings? She should have been able to do something about it, but she couldn’t stand the thought of touching it, even indirectly with a spell. Plus, she didn’t want to risk messing up and touching it directly. Oh Lord, she could never!
Sophia stood behind the Gryffindor’s back and, with her arm over the girl’s shoulder, pointed to the spider.
“There it is,” she whispered, as if afraid of startling it into action, “It might seem small, but you should have seen the look it gave me.”
She stayed frozen in place at a safe distance as she waited for the girl to take care of it.

The red head stood frozen behind Ariella, still a bit shaken up. "It's not moving" Sophia said, still peeking over her shoulder. "It's just taking a rest" Ariella said, staring at the small, furry, 8-legged creature, resting on the book.
"But, don't worry I'll get rid of it", Ariella said, carefully scooping up the arachnid with her own bare hands like it is just a normal job to her. Sophia gasped at her actions, covering her mouth in shock.
Ariella turned to the anxious girl, still holding the bug. "See? it's harmless", she said smiling at her. "No, no! Don't show it to me", Sophia's fidgeting intensifies because of fear and disgust. "It's just a baby tarantula," Ariella chuckled, "But okay, I respect your source of fear" She added while putting the 8-legged creature close to her, hidden from Sophia's line of sight.
"Are you ok now?", She asked Sophia who's now calm. She nodded
"What are you going to do with it now?" Sophia asked out of curiosity, as she finally sat on her desk, feeling safe. "Release it to the wild, back to its own habitat" Ariella said, and slowly started to walk away to take care of the bug.
