As he walked onto the platform, there seemed to be infinite people. Everyone he was coming with (besides his mother) seemed to be mesmerized with over look of the place. After all Micheal was absolutely amazed that magic actually existed. After all, who couldn't be?

"Come on people!" He mother, Claudia, speed walking toward the enterance to the train. "There is only five minutes before the train leaves."

Those twelve words seemed to knock everyone out of the trance they were starting to fall into.

"Where are we?" His father and sister asked almost at the same time.

His father is a muggle while his sister is a squib. Because of this, he wouldn't know anyone on the (one and only) Hogwarts Express. He secretly wished that his sister would've been able to come aswell; he had a feeling that she would be missing out on a lot of stuff.

"We are in the nine and three-quarters terminal. The one that hold the enterance to the one and only Hogwarts Express."

Once they all got to the enterance of the train, they all started their goodbyes to Micheal. Nobody could say think of anything to say so it got somewhat awkward.

"Goodbye, Micheal. Make sure to write to us a lot!" and "Find someone to talk to so you won't be lonely." were in the general area of things they liked to call to Micheal as he waved from the enterance of the train.

After all the hugs and goodbyes were said and done, Micheal decided to explore the train. He, barely, made his way through the croud of people, listening to every compartment for noise. Almost every compartment had at least two people in it. After a few second, he realised that trying to find an empty terminal is going to require a lot of patience. He didn't want to be with any strangers so he decided to listen for the next minute, occassionally opening one that had a few people in it that weren't talking at all. But after three awkward minutes he finally opened an empty compartment.

After he set everything down, he waved out the window to his parents and his sister waiting for the train to start...

Almost instantly as soon as Micheal sat down, the door to the compartment slid open to reveal a boy with white hair standing there. Kim let his blue eyes flicker over Micheal and nodded towards the opposite side of where the boy was seated. "Mind if I sit with you?" He asked but was forced to go inside as someone behind him asked him to move. Kim slid the compartment door closed and took a seat opposite Micheal. It was nice to see another boy.

There were so many girls on the train that he'd been starting to wonder if he was the only boy on this particular ride. Kim reached up to run his hand through his hair and gazed over at him. Usually, he'd take out a book and start reading by now. Or try and sketch something to pass the time. But for once, he was in the mood to look at the person across from him. Maybe it had to do with the fact that Micheal was a boy. Kim didn't say anything and simply stared.

Small talk was overrated.

He didn't tend to engage in it because to him it was pointless.

Why speak and talk about things that were not important and would literally be forgotten a few hours from now? Kim only liked to talk about things that either mattered or had a purpose. "First time on the train?" He asked, a bit curious about him. "You have any relatives who go to Hogwarts?" Yes, the questions he'd asked were pertinent. They actually had meaning and weren't just random small talk that would be forgotten later on.

This boy was interesting.

Why? Because he was the first boy he'd met so far.

Micheal's head was barely inside from saying goodbye to his family when he heard his compartment door open again. This almost caused him to bump his head on the top of the window out of fright and suprise but, as anyone could tell, he was very relieved to know that he didn't, and, in turn, he fell onto the couch-like chair but saved himself with his unique ability of shoulder-blade hypermobility (Click here to see an example! He can also do one should blade at a time. Micheal was born with it and when he does it, the process is painless! It isnt Winged Scapula.) by stopping the momentum with his shoulder blade.

"Mind if I sit with you?" A male voice said as Micheal stood back up to regain his balance. A few seconds after doing this he quickly realized that he wasn't dizzy at all, but he, despite this, insisting on standing.

"Uh, Sure. Sorry about that." He responded and apoligized for his fall.

By the time he looked back up at the boy, he was already forced inside by the amount of people back in the hallway. As soon as he felt the train start, he decided to sit back down.

A few minutes after the train started, Micheal almost forgot that he was on the train.

"First time on the train?" his, hopefully, new friend asked.

"Yeah It is." Micheal said "And by judging how young you look, you a first year aswell?"

The boy definitely had japanese ancestry, blue eyes, white dyed hair -- almost as pale as Micheal's --- and, somewhat like Micheal, green-ish blue eyes (from the lightning in the compartment).

"You have any relatives who go to Hogwarts?" He asked again

"Well, no" He responded "But I do have a sister, but unfortunately she is a squib. Do you have any?"

Micheal didnt know much about how to make friends, as they just came to him without him trying to. This magnetism and him not having to approch anyone to make a friend out of them was the reason why he was so socially awkward. But he did think of his own question to ask.

"What do you think Hogwarts is like?" He wondered what the boys opinion on the topic was "Also, I almost forgot to ask: What's your name? Mine is Micheal, Micheal Fraizer." He held out his hand to him over the table.

Micheal's parents told him that the ride to Hogwarts and back was about nine whole hours. With 18 different (evenly split every half hour) times somebody came out with a cart that you could buy food from, and if his parents were correct about the length of the ride, they would have sometime to catch up on the other.

As Micheal overreacted to his appearance, Kim raised a brow. The boy had almost brained himself on the window there. What a trip that would have been, blood everywhere and a stranger knocked out in his compartment. Well, he probably wouldn't have seen much blood, it would most likely be an internal injury for Micheal. Again with the morbid thoughts. He shook his head and was just in time to bear witness to the boy's strange shoulder movement.

Now THAT was intriguing.

He became even more interested in Micheal and tilted his head to the side.

"Have you always been able to do that?" Kim asked, curious. It didn't seem as if it had hurt him because Micheal hadn't made any sort of grimace. He let his eyes flicker over him as the other boy got to his feet to greet him. Kim's lips twitched a little, Micheal's actions reminded him of how a person would welcome a guest to their home. It was kind of cute. Both of them took a seat, Kim taking the seat across from Micheal as he began to stare at the boy.

Kim's earlier impression was confirmed to be true as Micheal admitted it was his first time. And then, he started asking questions of his own. "Mm. First time on the train to go to Hogwarts. It should be interesting, to say the least." He commented, still wondering where the Sorting Hat would place him. As long as it was either Slytherin or Gryffindor, he didn't care which one it turned out to be. But it had better not be one of the other two Houses.

Or his parents would revolt.

He didn't want to be around when they did, if that ended up happening.

But surely the Sorting Hat would know he belonged to one of those two Houses. It was supposed to know and see everything, right? When Micheal spoke about his sister being a squib, Kim grimaced, feeling bad for him. "What a shame. So that means you're a half-blood, which of your parents was one of us?" He asked, curious. Micheal's next question made Kim smirk. "I've heard about Hogwarts but have never been there."

"Did you read about it in the books yet?" There were various texts that described what a new student would see when they arrived at their destination. But of course, reading about it wasn't the same as actually seeing it for yourself. "Hopefully, it lives up to its reputation." Kim added and reached out across the table to grasp Micheal's outstretched hand. "Sato. Kim Sato." He said, giving his surname first. "Nice to meet you, Micheal."

A half-blood.

The first boy he'd met on the train was a half-blood.

He seemed pretty nice and Kim decided to befriend him. Of course, his parents would strongly disapprove but they weren't there with him right now. So, Kim would do whatever he wanted to do. Not to mention the fact that Micheal was pretty cute. Part of him wanted to protect him, while another part wanted to mess with him. But he didn't indulge in either feeling right now. "How much do you know about the train?" He asked the other boy.

"Do you know about the treats you can purchase from the trolley witch's cart?" Kim asked, feeling a bit mischievous.

After a few seconds, Micheal realized how deadly his fall could've really been. If he hadn't been able to move his shoulder blade like that, the air would've been knocked right out of him. This caused him to hyperventilate for a few quick seconds before realizing that the worst case senario didn't actually happen.

"Have you always been able to do that?" He asked

"Yup. I was actually born with the ability to move my shoulder blade. which is strange because the closest relative I have that can do that is my great-grandfather." Micheal answered "And he died a long time ago."

Speaking of genetic ancestry, he didn't understand why his great-grandfather was able to do it but his (micheal's) father wasn't. Charles (Micheals father) was a genetic bioengineer and even he, as far as Micheal knows, doesn't know why.

He started to stare out the window, when it started to rain. The pattering of the rain was a very soothing sound to Micheal and almost always caused him to fall asleep; but he didn't just yet because that would be awkward with someone he only just met.

"I'm sorry if I fall asleep." Micheal said in a somewhat soothing/calm voice that was, in someway, similar to the sounds of the rain.

As soon as Micheal found out that he still had more to respond to, he became more attentive and awake. He forced the drowsiness of the rain out of his conciousness and mind.

"Mm. First time on the train to go to Hogwarts. It should be interesting, to say the least." Kim mentioned

"Probably, I'm pretty sure there are seven years at Hogwarts so the school has to be huge." He thought of another exciting idea for anyone that liked (or potentially loved food): "What do you think breakfast, lunch, and dinner are like? If there are that many people at the school, those meals have to be as big as, if not bigger than, a feast."

Micheal internally reveled at the mere idea.

He noticed that Kim might one of those people that could think of questions easily. Micheal didn't have anything against these types of people, but he also noticied that they're the type that talk a lot (which he also didn't have much against).

When he spoke about his sister, he noticied that Kim winced a little bit. Did he have something again squibs specifically?

Probably not

"What a shame. So that means you're a half-blood, which of your parents was one of us?" Kim spoke without hesitation which might've proved his squib theory (which he still sincerely doubted).

"My mother is a witch and my father is a muggle" Micheal was getting slightly suspicious. "What do you mean "Thats a shame"? Do you have anything against squibs?"

"Did you read about it in the books yet?" Kim asked

Micheal had absolutely no idea what types of "books" he was talking about so the only responce he could think of was "Nope, not yet."

"Sato. Kim Sato." Micheal finally knew what to call his new friend... kind of.

He didn't know, since he said his last name first, what to call him. So he decided to ask.

"What should I call you?" Micheal said.

Micheal started to feel the drowsiness of the rain reach his mind again. This made him put his arm of the window sill and rest him head on the arm.

He heard Kim say something, but he didn't quiet make it out because of him drifting in and out of conciousness every so often. To anyone else, these drifts away from the world would only look like long blinks.

Micheal was able to make out the next thing Kim said:

"Do you know about the treats you can purchase from the trolley witch's cart?"

But before Micheal had time to respond, he had already fallen asleep.

Micheal went on to explain that he'd been born with the ability to do that with his shoulder-blade. Kim raised a brow, curious as to how one was born with such a unique talent. Hopefully it didn't cause any potential health problems later on when he grew older. Rain droplets started to hit the outside of the train, providing a rather soothing background noise. As Micheal apologized ahead of time for possibly falling asleep, Kim shook his head. "It's fine." He reassured him. It wasn't as if he needed to talk, in fact this was an anomaly for him.

Kim wasn't the type of boy to engage in conversation right off the bat. But with Micheal being the only boy he'd seen so far in the train, he hadn't been able to help himself.

That was when the conversation turned to food and Kim's lips twitched. "I hear they have an elaborate setup of food for each meal, it should be interesting to see what Hogwarts offers." He said and unconsciously licked his lips at the thought of eating. It was then that his stomach growled and he realized his body was trying to tell him it was hungry. He'd eaten breakfast early on, as his parents had forced him to wake up early and make sure everything was in order for the trip. But that had been hours ago. A sigh escaped his soft lips.

As Micheal revealed which of his parents had been magical, Kim nodded. However, it seemed as if the other boy had taken his earlier words the wrong way and assumed he had something against squibs. "Ah, no. Sorry, I just felt bad for your sister. After all, being a squib means she can't attend Hogwarts. So she'll never know what being a witch would be like." Kim said with a shrug of his shoulders. "It's a shame they don't allow them in as students." The boy remarked, knowing his parents would hit him for saying those words.

But they weren't here right now.

So they would never know. As Micheal asked what he should call him, Kim raised a brow.

Ah, his preference? "You can call me Kim." He told him. It wasn't Japan, it was England. The customs were different in this particular country and he couldn't expect people to know Japan's way of doing things. Once introductions were over and they had settled into their compartment together, Kim noticed that Micheal had fallen asleep. A faint smirk came to his lips and he got up to slide the compartment door open. Finding the trolley witch's cart, Kim purchased two Sugar Quills, two Chocoballs and two iced pumpkin juices. Delicious treats.

Luckily, the trolley witch had only been 1 compartment away, so it didn't take long to return to Micheal. Originally, Kim had intended on tricking the other boy into purchasing something that would inspire a fun reaction out of him. But since Micheal was drifting in and out of consciousness and seemed to want to sleep for awhile, Kim had decided against it. After all, he could always mess with him later on. Sitting down, Kim placed the treats onto the small table off to the side and leaned over to tap Micheal on the shoulder. "Hey, wake up." He said.

"You should try some of the trolley witch's sweets."

Kim pushed one of each of the treats he'd purchased forward on the table towards Micheal. "Chocoballs are one of my favorites. They're delicious. It has chocolate on the outside and strawberry mousse and clotted cream on the inside." He pointed at the items that looked like writing quills. "Those are Sugar Quills. They look just like the real thing, so you can snack on them during class and the professors won't realize it." Kim explained and gestured at the drink. "Refreshing iced pumpkin juice."

"It's self-explanatory. You can't have treats without something to drink."

He started to unwrap his chocoball and bit into the treat with relish. Damn, it was so good. Licking his lips, he continued to consume the large chocolate ball. And then reached over to wash it down with some iced pumpkin juice. Most likely he'd save the Sugar Quill for later on, as it was one of the treats that tended to keep really well. Part of him wanted to continue a conversation with Micheal but another part didn't want to because all that remained was small talk. And small talk wasn't something Kim tended to engage in. Not even for a cute boy.
