I got to do what now?
Such tranquility, an eternal peace of silence that consumes the soul and blissfully whisks it away into the sound of silence. A perfect silhouette to describe an area that was not her brain. The rolling thunder of words and chaos erupted her neurons and sent them firing uncontrollably when noise was unable to pull her attention away from her inner thoughts and truths. But, though her mind would not shut up if the lack of sound was apparent, she could not focus if even the slightest sound broke a peaceful slumber. What can she say, she was chaotically a mess inside yet poised and pristine on the outside. And thus, the predicament she found herself in.
She had to study, a beautiful hue of the ocean seeking the information upon the page of her text book, her careful wisp of her handwriting perfectly dictated by her right hand. Small letters cursively flew together, creating a poetic text in legible writing that she, indeed, took pride in. A sucker for punishment, her lower lip found itself between her perfectly straight teeth, teasing at the flesh as her eyes left the page with text to move to the parchment resting carefully next to the book. Elodie took pride in her studies, her eyes taking in the information that she was in process of copying again, the first set sitting forgotten next to her satchel of her quills.
Gently, her lower pouty lip fell from her teeth, resting against her top lip as her beautiful eyes move back to the text of her Potions book, coping the information upon the worn parchment paper gently. " Add four..... wait, what?" Her voice barely above a whisper, her eyes widening at the sudden information. "I got to do what now? Scrunching her nose, her right hand gently laying the quill down as she stared at the words intensely, hoping that they would turn into anything but what was written; Horned slugs.
A soft groan fell from the unwilling participant, the idea of having to touch the slimy shell-less terrestrial gastropod mollusc just wigged her out. She had nothing against slugs. Shoot, she has nothing against insects period; if she didn't have to touch them. Letting out a long breath, pushing it through her lips, she finally allowed herself to take in the massive library.
Shelves upon shelves towered above her housing books of all sorts by genre. Old and new, hardback and paper; the desire to the right person to digest their knowledge would be unendless. The large floor to ceiling windows added enough light for the inhabitants to be able to see just what they were studying or which book they were grabbing. It truly was a beautiful scene to the wondering eyes of Elodie. Normally, she would take in its charm; its royalty. But, upon her entrance, she had kept her gaze down and ignored those with friends. She had kept to herself mostly, learning the ways of the castle and its secrets alone for she just wanted to get through her first term without any mischief or problems. But the feeling of being alone was indeed hard. Shrugging her shoulders absent-mindedly, she carefully moved back to her studies, continuing the notes on where she left off.
