Holiday break was finally here, and for the Gryffindor that meant going home to London with Simon Kincaid. The two had been close friends before Hogwarts had come into their lives, and when they had met up again in Hogwarts, they had decided to make a Christmas present for their old librarian. Since they were in different years and different houses this was the perfect thing to ensure they could work together on a project.

They had created a book fold project. Some of the pages of the book were folded to resemble a Christmas tree, which they had further decorated with beads and other knick-knacks for ornaments. On either side of the paper folded tree they had drawn the silhouettes of two victorian-era carollers and a lightpost. It had been fun creating it with Simon, and now they would give it to Mrs. Higgens, the librarian, and feel the joy of giving.

Lizzy was waiting outside the doors of the library with the gift. So many memories were aroused by being back here. The pumpkin carving contest with Simon where they carved characters from Where the Wild Things Are, the gingerbread house making contest, the Easter egg decorating, and the time they volunteered to decorate the library for the holidays. All those memories made here, and now both of them were making new ones at Hogwarts.
