Buying the potion ingredients for First Year  Closed
Please tell your experience visiting the Apothecary in your First Year here.
This is the First Year of Sakurahito in Hogwarts. Then, this will be the first year he could study to brew potions in class. That's just...amazing!

He read the Potions textbook first of all, the book named Magical Drafts and Potions, written by Arsenius Jigger-Sakurahito wonders if the author name was taken after the name of Arsenius the Great, or the arsenic? After hours of reading and putting many...silly questions like the question about the name of Arsenius, he finished reading the book. Then, with a quill and a patchment, he listed the name of the potions he will be taught this year. They are all basic and easy-to-brew potions for beginners, but that doesn't mean they are boring. The biggest tree must be grown up from a seed!

The next day, he goes to the Diagon Alley and has quickly found the Apothecary (of course, he went there yesterday to buy everything except the potion ingredients-he'd like to buy it himself).
As he imagined...but also as he didn't think about, the Apothecary has the odour that could destroy anyone's sense of smell. Some smells like rotten, some smells really amazing, some smells neither fantastic nor bad... His eyes are litteraly catched by those weird but witch-y ingredients as he walks around and puts his attention into jars of mucus, boxes of dried plants and herbs, sprigs of flowers, drawers of berries and animal organs, and bottles of colourful juices, infusions and liquids. He goes around and picks some of the bottles, smells comfortablely the sweet smell of flowers and honey, and the oily texture of some bottle of oil.

But, of course, Sakurahito doesn't forget his works here. He asks the salesman about required ingredients for his 1st Year study of Potions. The salesman then takes out a scale and some weights and begins to take for his little customer the ingredients. Some dried thorny plants, some porcupine quills, snake fangs, some fish spine, bunch of moths, big bags of Standard Ingredients, some rocks and some white twinkles powder, bottles of mucus... Sakurahito watchs the salesman and tries to guess what ingredient is each of them, but quickly gives up because of the quickness of the salesman and the similarity of the ingredients. Then, he puts the bag of money to pay for the items, says goodbye to the salesman and goes out of the store.
