I feel like I need to start by apologizing. I had hoped for the night of the ball to have gone better than it did. You deserved better than having to drag me around the way you did. I am sorry, and I feel I owe it to you to try and make amends.
If you are amenable to the idea, I would like to propose another night out. Of dancing, and quiet conversation. With just the two of us. No distractions, no storms, no people casting spells all over the place, being excitable, or otherwise causing inconvenience to those around them.
With a little bit of luck, I shall be able to show you a fun night out.

You should not apologize! I'm just glad you're okay. It's the school who should be apologizing! You would think magical tents would be a bit sturdier.
But, of course, I would love a night out. I enjoyed the five seconds we spent together before it all came crashing down. It would be wonderful to spend a little bit longer together this time—I'm sure we can find something to do that's less chaotic.
