Charles finished packing his bags. Slipping hid backpack over one shoulder and holding his duffle bag in his right hand, Chadles figured he was ready to leave. Eyes gazing around his room knowing well that he won't see this place again till the next holiday.
Smiling a little to himself, Charles just got back from visiting Cassie and now will be staying at Xeno's house. Charles smiled at the thought of the boy- at the thought of his boyfriend. Pushing the thought of Valentin from his mind, a crush. Someone who also holds a placd in Charles's heart. The blonde pushed him away, focusing on Xeno.
Leaving his room and walking down the hall,
Charles knew that Xeno lived in England so he figured a muggle car should be able to take him to Xeno's. Walking down the stairs that leads to the doors, Charles walked toward the pair and reached out a band ready to leave when a voice stopped him.
"Where are you off to now, Charles?"
Charles turned, his eyes found his grandfather and father. Standing shoulder to shoulder in front of him. The blonde nodded to each, he haven't came out that he is gay to his family yet so unsure what to say. The blonde spoke"A special friend of mine." The two men exchanged a look, Charles didn't like how this is playing out. His eyes flashed over his father who spoke"Special? You have a girlfriend now?" Charles didn't want to lie as he slowly noded and to his surpise the two men glanced at each other. Whispering quickly. Until his grandfather spoke" invite her here then so we can meet her properly, I assume is she pureblood?" Charles nodded again, his hand remained on the door knob when his eyes flickered over to his mother who entered the room.
"Daring, come here. Did you know Charles has a girlfriend?"
His father's voice called for his mother to join them, the women walked over. Standing by her husbands side smiling and nodding silently. Chadles felt worse now, lying to his mother when he heard his father speak"Maybe your not as large a disappointment then, Charles. I will be joining you to meet this fine young lady." Charles felt himself back up into the door, take a deep breath as he quickly splattered out.
"She is actually a he. I am dating a boy from beauxbation, I'm gay."
The three adults looked upon Charles. Eyes wide and mouths slightly opened. Not the best way to come out of thr closet but he didn't have a choice. Choosing not to stick around to listen to their reactions, Charles pushed the door open then ran out onto the grounds. Running as fast as he could when he heard his father run after him. Shouting his name.
Lincoln, England
Charles arrived. Lincoln. The blonde wandered through a neighbor, eyes peeled for Xeno's house. Wonderinf where it could be and anxiously wanting to find the place.
The blonde looked and saw it. A large home, simlair to a cabin almost. Charles ran up to the door. Checking his duffle bag for a moment to be sure that he has Xeno's gift then looking back at the door. Charles smiled a little as he knocked. Waiting for a answer. Waiting to see his boyfriend.

Xeno ran to his father's room, he was full of joy and couldn't help but express it. "thank you so much for allowing Charles to stay father!" his voice was a bit high due to how ecstatic he was. His father who had been finishing the rest of his paperwork before winter break just gave him a small smile "Anything to keep you, happy son, I am excited to meet this young fellow"

The two talked for a bit before Xeno realized the time "shoot!" he thanked his dad once more before scattering to his room. He searched his closet until he could find himself the perfect outfit, he posed in front of his full body mirror with questions piling up in his head. He wondered what Charles would want to do upon his arrival, perhaps the two could go down to the winter festival, the Christmas market?! He groaned to himself before taking a seat on the end of his bed "What other fun things are there to do..?" his mind focused on a memory from last holiday.
He and his best friend Winter would always go down to the Swanholme Lakes to go ice skating, the beautiful pines that surrounded the water would always look so very wonderful snow-covered during the wintertime. He smiled softly, that would be an idea to bring up with his lover. Perhaps the two would share the same happiness Xeno and his childhood bestie had, just last Christmas. He went through some photos whilst laying on his bed awaiting the appearance of Charles and soon enough got lost in the memories once more, smiling like a fool.
It wasn't too long after before a knock could be heard at the door of the Darkaz residence, the doors opening not even a minute after. A nice young lady answered the door, she had been dressed in a black cleaning gown that hung right below her knees "hello, you must be Charles! I'm maggie sir, the housekeeper of the Darkaz family!" she bowed her head before allowing Charles inside. The moment he stepped foot into the house there were warm furnishings all around as well as natural materials in a rustic design, statement lighting fixtures for the aesthetic appeal, and many different wood features throughout for charm and texture, but most importantly the satin and cozy furniture that expressed comfort and warmth. "Please, by all means, make yourself at home! I'll retrieve the young master for you" she bows once more before heading upstairs.
It had been but a couple of minutes before Xeno had come rushing down the wooden stairs. "Charles!" he quickly made his way to his beloved boyfriend, throwing his arms around him in a heartfelt embrace. "I'm so glad you're here now" his face was bright and his smile was wide, this was going to be an amazing holiday he could already see it. He just hoped Charles could see it too.

His backpack over his shoulder and duffle bag in his right hand, Charles waited at the door of the home. His face couldn't help but smile, a small one but still his excitement grew as he imagined now the next few days will be.
Charles tried to push the last few hours from his mind, that wasn't the best way to tell one's family that their gay but the blonde focused on not having to worry about their reactions till the summer holiday. Maybe he cluld delay it more by attending the camp...
Charles eyes flickered when the door open, he stood straight as he nodded toward the housekeeper and spoke"pleasure, yes I am Charles." Charles stepped inside the manor, his eyes flickering around at rhe wooden interior and rustic appeal. It was cozy. Taking a breath as he smiled wondering where Xeno was at that current moment.
"Thank you," Charles replied to the housekeepee watching her leave the room. As he waited Charles set his two bags down, kneeling in the ground. Charles zipped opened his duffle bag, taking out a wrapped gift. Wanting to deliver Xeno's christmas gifr in person rather by a owl.
The teen stood back on his feet, holding the gift in his right hand. Eyes flickering toward it as he hoped that his boyfriend liked it. Charles wasn't sure abour the tree on the box, not starting to regret the wrapping choice when his ears heard a voice. One that could only mean good things. Smiling, a actual and true smile. Charles looked up and felt his heart melt a little and his mind distracted from the hours before when he saw Xeno Darkaz.
Stepping forward to meet him, Charles returned the embrace as he hugged Xeno. Tightly and close. The blonde then lightly kissed his cheek as the embrace ended, listening to his words as he spoke"I'm glad to be here to, Xe," reaching out his hand. Charles grabbed Xeno's, squeezing it a little as he smiled looking into the boy's eyes. Wishing the moment could last longer.
Remembering the gift, Charles held it out to Xeno with his other hand as he spoke"happy Christmas, Xe," Charles wanted gifts that were as special as Xeno is, four gifts laid in the box. A sliver crown with blue jewels, a jeweled fox necklace, a necklace with a letter charm and inside little messages from Charles to Xeno, finally a little hat for his boyfriends feline if Charles didn't like the felines that much.
Smiling, Charles wondered what they would do for the rest of the holiday but standing there with Xeno. Holding his hand. He didn't have to do anything, all he wanted was to br with him. Was to forget about his family and life and stay there. With someone he cares for.

Xeno snuggled into Charles while the embrace lasted, a small giggle escaping his throat as Charles's lips pressed gently against Xeno's rosy cheek. His ocean blue eyes stared into that of Charles with a soft expression, it was peaceful, amazing and Xeno wished that it could always be like this, hopefully, one day it would be!

"Happy Christmas my love!" his eyes widened at the sight of the present "I got you some things as well, let's open them together!!!" Xeno took the hand of the blonde, leading him to another room one with large windows all around and a gigantic Christmas tree with many presents beneath it. Looking through the windows beside the tree would leave anyone breathless with an amazing view of the wonderful lake as well as a wonderful sunset complimenting the mostly frozen waves.
Pulling out a good-sized box from beneath the tree Xeno exchanged for the present Charles had gotten him. The box was just a normal velvet box, the contents included a yellow-tinted, sterling silver golden snitch necklace, matching magnetic bracelets with a wonderful rainbow addition, and the gift Xeno was sure was going to be the once liked best was the birchwood collapsable, folding canvas and art set, it was full of different art supplies and it had its very own canvas stand built-in! "Together!"
Xeno counted to three as he began to open his present at the same pace his partner had, focusing on his face to make sure to catch Charles's reaction. It in fact was a happy Christmas and it would only get better. Whilst the two were busy with unwrapping and analyzing their gifts Xenos father had leaned in the doorway, watching the young boys with a soft smile as he remembered what it was like as a kid this age, as most parents would do, take a nice long walk through memory lane. "Baby I love it all so much! thank you!!" Xeno's face lit up brighter as he saw what he had gotten, immediately placing the crown upon his head.

Charles smiled at Xeno, strange how the sight of a single person can change one's mood and emotions in a instance.
Passing tht gift to Xeno, wanting to see his boyfriend's reaction in persom rather than from a letter. The blonde was glad to see Xeno's reaction but wasn't expecting anything in return himself, allowing the lad to grab his arm and pull him into another room. Following, Charles found his gaze wander a bit along with his thoughts. Wondering if Xeno's father knew, if he knew that his son is gay and if the two are a couple. Charles wants to make a good impression on Xeno's father, he truly cares for the boy but could understand how strange it can be. A fourteen yeat old dating a twelve or thirteen year old, a year difference wasn't that bad. Right?
Stepping inside thr large room, looking around at the large windows and rustic settinf before following his boyfriend to the tree with loads of presents underneath. His smile grew a little wider, having never opened a present from underneath a tree before. His family did it at the dining table, organized.
When Charles felt the velvet box in his hands, the blomde stared at it. Taken back for a moment. Smiling a little, he was getting use to others giving him things or doing actions that allowed him to smile. At mention of opening then together, the blonde only nodded. Remaining silent.
"Together."
Charles repeated Xeno's words. Counting the moments till he neatly and carefully unwrapped the gift. Creating little mess as possible. Opening the box, Charles felt his eyes rest on Xeno. Watching him smile at th3 sight of the gifts before directing his eyes downward at his own gifts. Setting the box down, Charles sat on his knees for a moment.
Taking out the snitch necklace, a soft nod toward it beforr slipping the gift into his jacekt pocket. Charles then produced a bracelet with a rainbow charm and magnetic half, slipping it onto his right wrist. Charles then picked up the art set. Getting to his feet. Charles held the set in his hands, eyes glued on it. Not many knew the blonde could draw, only a few did. In his family it is only Leo who knows, often asking his cousin for drawings but outside his family only Cassie, Drew, Haley, and Xeno knows. A smile on his face.
Charles set the art set on the floor, turning toward Xeno now wearing crown he got him. Charles smiled as he spoke"thank you, my prince," a joke toward the crown on his boyfriend's head. Charles held up his right wrist to show him that he is wearing the couples bracelet when his eyes flickered toward the man in the door frame.
Charles felt his posture straighten, left arm held by his side and head held high like he has been taught. The blonde leaned close to Xeno as he asked"is that your father? Does he know about us? About you?" Charles made eye contact with Xeno wondering how much he could say or do around the boy in the presence of his family.

Xeno was glad that this Christmas he wouldn't be doing the usual, of course, he would have to send a letter to winter to tell her all the details being that was what she wanted in return for having to somehow enjoy a Christmas in the Bahamas with her family this year, of course, a dhampir in the sun, only winter.

His eyes were at first fixated on his gifts, looking up as he saw Charles begin to go through his own. Xeno smiled softly as he saw the joy in his boyfriend's eyes, he could tell Charles was thankful for the gifts as was Xeno himself. A light red brushed his cheeks at the name, it was followed by a small chuckle. He grinned and slipped on the bracelet to match his beloved.
Xeno looked confused at first when Charles had quickly gotten himself together before spotting his father in the doorway to the room. "Oh yea that's my dad!" he smiled once more, placing a hand on Charles's shoulder "he knows everything, you don't have to worry about anything he's very accepting!" his father had smiled as he finally lost his train of thought, making his way over to the two of them. "Hello, it is a pleasure to meet you Mr. Alluring, I've heard many great things about you" offering his hand to the young boy he spoke again "You may call me James"
Xeno smiled towards his father, it seemed like Charles hadn't been used to this sort of thing, did his parents know about him?? He thought to ask him but quickly told himself no, it was a holiday vacation no questions! Only fun! James went into his pocket and pulled out a card, handing it to his son. "You boys run along and do whatever you'd like, the Christmas market will be open soon" he patted Xeno on the head and nodded to Charles before excusing himself to go talk with the staff in the other parts of the house.

Charles quickly stood up, straightening his back and holding hid shoulders firmly. Head held eye and maintaining eyes contact with the man. The act came second nature to the blonde, manners taught to him ever since he was a s child.
At the sound of Xeno's voice, Charles looked toward him. Gutting his eyes as he nodded still unsure about relaxing quite yet the blonde offered his boyfriend a quick nod before looking back at his father. Charles held at his hand, a firm handshake from the blondes part as he spoke"it is a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Darkaz," letting going of the man's hand, Charles held his arns by his side as he remebered a key part as he continued, "uh James- Mr. Darkaz please call me Charles." A polite nod, Charles was fearful about messing up or giving thr wrong impression to his boyfriend's father.
Charles stayed silent, watching the interaction between father and son. It was different, strange almost for the blonde to watch the interaction between a father and son. A 'normal' interaction that is. Refraining from dropping his jaw when he heard Xeno's father say but whateever he wanted. The blonde never got a chance to spend wildy like that before...
Once the man left the room, Charles relaxed. Smiling a bit toward Xeno as he spoke"do you think he likes me? I wanted to give a first good impression, " brushing a few dtrands of hair back as the blonde shook away the awkwardness and neveres, "what is the card and what is the Christmas market?" A eyebow raised at his father as he waited curious about what will happen soon.
