Just wanted to tell you I'm ok are you?
Clair pulled out a pen (yes a ball point pen!) that she had stashed away in her robe's pockets.back dated one week
Today she had one mission, write a letter to her mother, it had been a while since she had sent or receive any mail, a simple message would have told her that everything was ok, a simple message stating that the farm was running well, that Blaze and Spark and been groomed and worked lately.
Even a message where her Mum talked about how grand Belle's fiancé - who Clair utterly hated with all her heart- was.
A simple message would have been nice even if Clair had seen her Mum and Belle just over two weeks ago, when Clair had first come she had been loaded with mail, every day getting a owl about how much her family missed her, the letters had slowed as the months had passed, every day in September had held a new letter, October had had a new letter once or twice a week, November had had one letter every other month, and then when Christ as had started she had gotten a letter every day again, mostly her Mum asking when she was coming home, and asked all kinds of questions.
But now, a week into the return of school and nothing, this was the longest she had gone without a letter, Clair had waited everyday, in hopes of Getting a owl to drop a letter on her, she had watched as Izzy looked for her owl to drop mail, but neither girls had gotten mail, unless Izzy was just keeping it secret, which was very possible since she was still being a jerk and not talking to Clair.
Clair sat there wondering what to write, a simple 'hey how are your would be ok, but she felt like she would add on, so while she sat there her mind wandered, then the idea came, she started to write.
She sealed it up and handed it to a school owl, "To the Fernandez Farm please"Dear Mum,
I have not heard from you in a while! Where are all the letters? Flowing down and onto my waiting lap? It seems Izzy is not getting anything either... Not that she told me or anything, she is still being a jerk. I've got to tell you, I've missed all your letters, I'd even love to hear you drone on about that stupid guy who Belle goes googly eyed for!

The owl took the letter and flew off towards the Fernandez Farm.

Clair had been waiting for dahs to have that letter arrive, she had been waiting and watching as every owl came in in the morning, any Owl that flew towards the Ravenclaw Table was hope that was quickly blown away, for days no Owl had landed any letters on her lap, she had waited and watched, her fellow Ravenclaw students seemed to be burried in letters, Christmas letters, new years cards, late presents from aunts and uncles, yet for days now nothing had arrived to Clair.Date; Jan/13/2022
She sat eating and bored, when one last owl arrived, it seemed tired and worn out from a long flight, But it was white, just like the one Clair had sent out before! It flew down and dropped a small letter at Clair's lap before flying off.
Clair dropped her fork, and opened the letter with extreme excitement, when she got it open she unfolded it and noticed right away that it was not her Mum's hand writing but Belle's.
Clair looked at the loopy writing that Belle had written, it was not right Belle had no right to open, read and respond to Clair's letter which had been clearly addressed to her Mum.
Dear Clair,
I know I've not written to you for a while, but do you really need a owl every day? It ises a ton of paper, and we seen you at Christmas, i don't think it is very needed to write a letter after just seeing you. Izzy is not getting letters because there is nothing to talk about, Izzy is just being a teen, you'll do the same thing I bet, you watch! Now what's this rubbish about my Fiancé? He is a great man, been there when ever we've needed him, don't talk about him like that.
