Background
I'm the firstborn of my wonderful parents Donna and Tom, a Half-Blood and a Muggle-Born respectively. We live in a cozy walk-up in Hillingdon, England that's full of love and magic. According to my parents, my first smile was right in the delivery room. I suppose that explains why I'm so positive all the time, trying to look on the brightest side of everything.
I think I'm fairly smart, as well. I started reading and talking rather young, though I do think the constant support and encouragement from my parents helped me along. I prefer fact to fiction, and black and white to grey and up-in-the-air. I like knowing when something is for sure, and I'm not very good at being creative. I hope to change that a bit here at Hogwarts.
I had my first instance of magic at preschool when I was 3. My parents, being a Half-Blood and a Muggle-Born, wanted to send me to school prior to Hogwarts to get some education before focusing on magic. One day, we were having playtime and another child, I think his name was Arthur, was playing with my favorite toy, a set of building blocks with rainbow letters and numbers on them. I got upset because he didn't want to share and went over to the other side of the room. Next thing I knew, the bl0cks were in front of me, Arthur was crying, and our teacher's jaw was on the floor. My parents were asked not to bring me back after that, so they homeschooled me.
When I was 4, my brother Garrett was born, a welcome addition to our home and family. He has not yet shown signs of magic, but I have hope. He's a sweet kid with a big heart and a short temper. He keeps my parents on their feet. Hogwarts is going to love him.
First Day at Hogwarts
When I got my letter, my parents couldn't have been happier. When the big day finally came, it was probably the most stressful day I could've imagined. I'm thankful both of them had attended Hogwarts before and knew where the Platform was because let me tell you, I never would've figured it out on my own or with Muggle parents. I spent the train ride reading and doing puzzles, mainly sudoku. Arriving at the castle was an amazing experience. It was bigger, grander, more beautiful than I could have ever imagined it would be.
The Sorting Ceremony was exciting. When my name was finally called, I could hardly contain myself; I'm pretty sure I was vibrating the entire room with my energy. The decision came easily and quickly for the Hat: Ravenclaw. Joining the others at the table was sweet, and an experience I'll never forget.
