The Interesting Books
George likes the library. It has so many fascinating books that it can keep anyone busy with the book for hours. That is what was happening with George. He was happy for that. But something was missing. He needed a partner. Studying was getting quite boring for George now. He wished he had a friend. He is new to Hogwarts and is taking time to adjust in the school. He is a pure-blood of course, but he never went to a proper magical school just like Hogwarts.
"It's getting quite boring." he said aloud. He didn't knew if anyone heard that or not, but if anyone did, then he will be glad for that.
He was thinking about Anna Washington. Maybe she comes to study with him? Or even anyone else is okay. It was good to know that George was having only 1 homework left to complete. He again started writing it.
It was getting late, he must get ready for the lunch. But before that, he first wanted to have a bit of reading.
"I still have 30 minutes in hand. It won't take me much time." He said to himself.
He took out a book, titled, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them". He was interested in the subject, Care of Magical Creatures. But unfortunately, first years weren't allowed to study that subject.
He wanted to become a caretaker of Magical Creatures. That was odd for others, but not for him. Suddenly, someone sat beside him. He removed those thoughts out from his mind and looked carefully at who it was...

Scarlett had walked over to the boy and smiled. "Homework's getting quite a bit boring isn't it?" Scarlett said as if reading George's thoughts "I miss my free time, when I could read things I like reading." She had 2 books, The Standard Book of Spells, and, A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration. She had already gotten a P on her flying homework, and an A on her charms, she was pushing herself to get an E.
She opened her Transfiguration book and started reading. Out of the corner of her eye Scarlett saw George still studying her. She smiled silently and kept reading. After 10 minutes of reading she finally talked to George. "So what house are you in?" Scarlett had an answer if George asked what her house was, it was a short story but it was true. Her dad was a Ravenclaw, and her Mom was a Gryffindor. The rest of her family were both of those. Her older sister, Elaine, was the first Hufflepuff in their family, Then came Scarlett, she was the second child her parents had, and, the second Hufflepuff of the family. Scarlett also had a younger sister named Olivia (or Liv) was not yet allowed in Hogwarts due to her young age of 3.

"I am from Gryffindor. And, I guess you are from Hufflepuff?" George hesitated, "Your robes describe it."
He signed.
"I also wanted to be a Hufflepuff, loyal and friendly. I still am. But... I became a Gryffindor. My dad was in Gryffindor whereas my mom was in Slytherin. She is a Parsel, as you guess."
He was not sure if it was right to tell it or not, but he somehow felt comfortable to do so.
He quickly looked away, and again started concentrating in his work. But again got distracted by his thought.
His mom was not cunning, as everyone thinks. But she wasn't in reality. She is kind and polite. George's mom once told him that she was going to Ravenclaw, hopefully. But at the last moment the hat shouted. "SLYTHEIRN!".
Same happened with George. The hat decided Gryffindor the last nanosecond. He was in deep thought, almost forgetting the present world. Even his new partner.
He was imagining his dad's happy face that he was in Gryffindor, and his mom's happy but still sad face, that he was in Gryffindor. She wanted him to be in Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff. If this thing his dad got to know, then he will be angry, very.
