Mercy Tolman First Year Ravenclaw

She was raised in London, England, but frequently visited a house nearby the Isles of Scilly. Mercy grew up in an upper class household, but never let that get to her head. She was, and is, always eager to help anyone in need. Mercy was an only child, as well as home schooled. She never had the most friends and always struggled meeting new people.

Like Mercy, both of her parents were hard workers. Her father was an aspiring author and poet, working on an novel in his free time. Her mother was a Wizard police, an auror. They had a great relationship for the most part, her parents were supportive and encouraging of Mercy's creative talents.

Around the age of 7 to 8, the family experienced strange instances around the house, toys and books moving on their own. One day, while het parents where reading the newspaper, colorful bolts of light shot across the living room. Mercy's parents immediately caught on, they were both very excited for Mercy (as well as a bit concerned). They had attended Hogwarts when they where younger, both in Ravenclaw as well. Needless to say, her parents where proud to learn their daughter was a Ravenclaw. Not everything was sparkles and rainbows though, Mercy often felt pressure to prove herself to her parents, sometimes doing things she usually wouldn't do. Her time at Hogwarts helped improve her confidence and self esteem.
