The winter break was over and students were returning to Hogwarts, but the Astronomy classroom still looked somewhat festive. On the door, Professor Nigel Read had written 20 ✝ C ✝ M ✝ B ✝ 22 with chalk, as if he had been a little child who found it fun to draw or inscribe on a place where adults had specifically told him no. In addition, he had stuck a merry-looking, moving poster which said, "Happy Epiphany!"

Inside, a large table and magazine shelf were placed in the middle of the room. Instead of containing magazines or newspapers, though, it was full of cartons and pretty wrapping papers, shiny papers of various colours and papers of different patterns. Underneath the large table, lots and lots of wooden boxes were stacked neatly; whereas on it a number of assorted items were placed, also neatly - origami papers, buttons, bottle caps, glue, scissors, paints, and other supplies one may need to create a handicraft.

The Astronomy teacher himself was not sitting on his usual desk by the blackboard, but instead waiting for students to show up and would be supervising at the back of the classroom. This is because he had put the statues of the three Magi in front of the classroom and would like them to be the centre of attention today; this way, when students sat on the desks to work on their gift boxes, they would be able to directly see the three statues.

To anyone that arrived, he would say hello and briefly explain that they were expected to decorate (or make) gift boxes creatively. These students would also be given Twelfth Cake and Epiphany Tart, English traditional dishes of the festival, as well as fresh milk, so they can eat and drink after or while working on their gift boxes and chatting with their peer and/or the Astronomy professor. If anyone would like to know more about Epiphany, the meaning of the chalk-writing on the door, or the dishes, Nigel would be happy to chat with them!

"Wow!" Anna exclaimed, as soon as she stepped inside the castle. She didn't knew that the castle looked so beautiful at Holidays. Some decorations were still hanging which looked fascinating to Anna. She went to her dormitory, did all her work, ate the breakfast with her friends and then made her way to the Astronomy Tower, as mentioned in her time-table. She liked the Tower, specially at night. She climbed many steps and after a long time, reached her class. Catching for breath, she came forwards. She saw a poster infront of the door, it said, "Happy Epiphany!".
"Epiphany?" Anna hesitated, "Oh! How can I forget that today is Epiphany?!"
She was excited and pushed the door open.
"Hello Professor! Happy Epiphany!" Anna said, excitedly.
After all the welcoming and all, she got to know that she was supposed to make three boxes for the three kings or even one is enough.
Anna sat down and started working. She saw the three statues, they looked glorious.
"What shall I make for them?" Anna thought.
She saw glue bottles, colourful papers, buttons and many decorating things.
She quickly got into work. She took a white origami paper with a light shade of yellow on it and started making a butterfly.
Astronomy Professor was the supervisor, and Anna tried her best to work properly and neatly.
After about 10 minutes, she somehow managed to make a beautiful butterfly. She drew some beautiful designs on it's wings and body. After that, she sparkled it's wings with gold and red sprinkles.
When she was finished with it, she looked at it from every single side, and said, "What a glory!".
She painted her box yellow and made some butterfly drawings on it. After she was finished with it, she attached the origami butterfly at the center.
"Fantasting!" Anna thought, happily. Her first gift for the first king was done.
She drank a glass of milk and pastry and went back to work.
"Second box...." She said, silently.
She saw some jewels inside a box and took it out. She covered the sides of the box with the jewels. After that, she placed a origami blue flower on the four corners of the box. She sprinkled some deep blue sprinkles on the middle portion of the box.
She completed it in 30 minutes. Her face was sweating heavily. Still she examined her work and said, "Awesome....."
She was feeling very much tired and didn't feel like making another box. But still she didn't cared for her sweating face. She wiped the sweat out of her face with the help of her handkerchief.
Before she again went to work, she ate some cookies and started thinking about the next box.
"A painting!" Anna thought, she was expert in painting and thought it will be better to paint for the third king.
She took a white sheet and cut it into the size of the box. Then, she wrapped it around the box and started painting a beautiful and colourful peacock. After about 40 minutes, she completed it. And, it's common that the picture will move, but it didn't. Anna's mind was empty, what was left? She looked more carefully and noticed, she hadn't done the colouring! She quickly took some colour pencils and started colouring it beautiful, till her best. After 20 minutes of hard work, atlast, she was done. The peacock started to move, fluttering it's beautiful feathers. It was amazing! But she wanted it to glow more. She took a long rainbow coloured ribbon and placed it around the sides of the box. It was fabulous! She was done.
She placed the three boxes neatly infront of the table and said, "Professor, please look at my gifts."

Just as winter had thought all events were done and over with another exciting one popped up out of nowhere, she had heard of this "Epiphany" from her butler Alfred, he had normally made a big deal of it and would make it known to winter and her family. She wasn't sure what was to come along with this event and so she decided to do the same as she had done for all the others and go investigate and more than likely precipitate, she was known for doing so!

Winter climbed the moving staircases quickly enough to reach the astronomy tower before one had changed her route, a sigh of relief had come from her lips as she stood before the entrance. Mr. Read one of Winter's favorite teachers had been hosting this one and she was excited to see what the nice sir had come up with!

Upon entering the classroom she noticed the three wonderful statues placed in plain sight they were quite beautiful and winter enjoyed the sight. Secondly, she noticed that oh- she had been the second one to arrive there, greeting her teacher with a warm smile as well as sending a wave towards her fellow Hufflepuff, anna! "H-hello sir! Happy Epiphany!!" she was interested when she looked around to see many supplies and boxes. She listened to Mr. Reads' directions and explanations before slowly making her way around to see what nice things she could create out of what was provided. She took into consideration what was said to 'create three boxes' and she planned to do just that!

Winters aunt had taught her many things about arts and crafts, how to paint, fold, cut precisely. All that she had learned was for fun but little did she know it would be quite helpful when it comes to school, or at least the events that come with being in Hogwarts. These fun projects would also be helpful to give presents to friends of the white-haired girl, she could think of a few, her aunt included! She would indeed go on to create her first box!

She took one of the wooden boxes that were placed in stacks, setting it down in a working area before gathering paints and a few different-sized brushes. The colors of paint were the colors of a galaxy, a nice dark blue, light and dark purple, a deep red that could blend in with the black paint, light pink, and simple white paint! She was decorating the box to fit the present she was getting for her friend (no names being said!) she then painted a few buttons to look like some cool planets, she then pasted them onto the top of the box with a grin.

She set that box aside with a grin as she began to work on her second, this time using the origami paper folding it in an odd way with multiple layers to give it some extra support. she folded it into a mini box without a top, she then created a mini top to fix over the opening, she added a mini bow with a smile, it was so small and cute, perfect for maybe a bracelet or something of the soft.

for the last box, she found it only fitting to make it for her aunt, her favorite animal of course! A Christmas penguin!! She found all the colors needed for the penguin, black orange, and white. She also picked up a bright red bow for the top of it, for a little more spark! She cut and arranged the papers until it looked like a penguin pasted on the top of the box, she even decided to add wings and little tiny feet, it was great, she was sure her aunt would love it! "s-sir I've finished my three boxes!" she had them all on display so he could see each and everyone she created. She waited for his response with a small smile

When everything was starting to relax and classes were starting again Clair found out about another errand, this one sounded like a blast so like a good child that she most often was she headed to the place it was to be held, when she got to the door she seen some odd chalk writing, and a poster, but the poster had less of her attention because the chalk writing was taking it all. When she entered she greeted the Astromany professor with a merry grin and a very polite hello, seeing as it was one of the only times she had met him out of class in a good time where there was no.... Unhappiness.
Two girls were already inside, one Clair knew from passing in the halls and the other she did not,
"Hey! My name is Clair Fernandez, but just call me Clair please" she said sitting down she looked at Winter "Your Winter right? And who are you?" She asked with a smiled looking at the looked at Anna.
Then she started to craft, taking a box, some paints (in many colours; Black, Green, Yellow, orange, blue, purple, peach.) brushes, some paper and some glue.
Then taking one box she glued the paper to it, and slowly with a steady hand she began to draw (with a pencil from her pocket) she drew three men with sheep and goats standing around a manger that was full of hay and a baby wrapped in blue cloth ripped from his mum's dress, his mum and dad standing on the sides looking at their baby with joy.
"It's not that correct of a drawing" she said with a frown "he should be 6 years old, running around in six year old kid clothing." But as far as drawing went, it was a amazing drawing, full of detail and care, now time to paint.
With the smallest brush, she took and dipped just the tip in the paint, filling in the first wise man, then with the purple and orange she filled in the kings. Now she decided to let that dry before going on, turning around she looked at Professor Read. "Sir? May I ask about the chalk on the door? Did a student do that? Or is that for this errand?" She thought for a moment, "Is it a sort of blessing? Or a good luck thing? Asking for the stars to help in some way?"
This was a puzzle that Clair was going to figure out, she just had too!
"OR! Is it about the north star?" Her question was random but it was also laced into the last question, and some how some way this little Ravenclaw was going to figure it out, even if it meant a trip to the library, which was a positive still. If she was right that it was a blessing Clair was still not done with her search. Why did they do it? What religion did it? What started it? What did the numbers mean? 20 and 22, as her mind turned she began to piece things together "Wait, 20 and 22, we are in 2022, does that mean the year? Did it say 20 plus something 21 last year? And will it say 20 plus something plus 23 next year?" She she spoke she was trying to figure out what the letters meant, the three, C M and B did not have anything in common, they did not spell something, well maybe a acronym, CMB, BMC, MBC, MCB, but none of thoughs made sense. This was starting to bug her, she needed to know! While she thought she finnish painting, filling in the sheep as Grey and the goats as chocolate coloured, once done she held it up with a grin "Done!"
OOC note: Please don't be offended if i guessed what the symbols were wrong, ho est,y it was just a guess, so if I'm wrong please don't get upset! Thank you.

The first days back from the Christmas break had been hard for Lily... She'd gone to classes, did some homework and even visited the library to try and cheer her up. But after spending the holidays with her family she still felt kinda lonely at Hogwarts... Besides she'd had a rough day and was still mad at that boy who'd thrown her a snowball.

Luckily, she heard that professor Nigel Read was hosting an activity for the Epiphany in the Astronomy tower. She had no idea what it was about but seeing people would definitely be good for her. So after her last class on Thursday, she climbed the stairs up to Astronomy classroom. When she got in front of the class, she saw the inscription "20  ✝  C  ✝  M  ✝  B  ✝  22" on the door, which had been written in chalk for the occasion.

She smiled and walked into the room while a fellow Ravenclaw student was asking professor Read about the symbols Lily had just seen on the door. The girl apparently really wanted to know what they meant. Lily coughed a bit and said "Hello everyone" then, turning to the girl, she added: "I think the numbers represent the year, and the letters the initals of the Three Magi or the Three Wise Men: Caspar, Melchior and Balthazar.” All of it was really a guess, but it made sense. Especially since Lily knew that writing with chalk on the doors was a Christian tradition to bless one's house on the day of the Epiphany. Her grandma, who came for a very religious muggle family, had taught her this. But she didn't want to be too much of a know-it-all so she stopped there.

After this, she looked at all the materials on the tables. “Yes", she thought, "a crafty activity is exactly what I needed!” She selected three wooden boxes in various shapes, deciding she was more in the mood for painting then origami. As she sat at one of the tables to start working, she noticed the two Hufflepuff girls she’d shared a butter beer with during the holidays, Anna and Winter: “Hey girls” she greeted them, “Wow Winter did you paint this? It’s amazing!” she was pointing a the box with a galaxy pattern painted on it. It was truly gorgeous.

Now she had to find something as good to paint on her three wooden boxes... That could take a while. Lily thought about the story of the Three Magi, that her grandma used to tell her as a girl, and how they'd followed the stars to find Jesus and bring him their gifts. Caspar brought the frankincense, Melchiour brought gold and... what did Balthazar bring again? She couldn't remember. But anyway, this had given her an idea. Since the boxes were made to contain gifts, she would make each one specifically for someone she loved, so she could use them as gift box later.

The first box was rectangular and quite large. She thought it would be the perfect place for her grandma to store her recipe cards. She could already see the box on the kitchen counter. With that in mind, she painted it all black, then she took a thiner brush to draw some simple white flowers, her grandma’s favorites.

The second box was also rectangular but quite smaller. This one she painted all white without knowing who it was for before she started drawing on it. By the time she was done, she had more or less reproduced the cover of her grandpa's favourite book: Le Petit Prince, by Antoine de Saint-Excupéry.

The third and last box was small and had an hexagonal shape. It was perfect to be used as jewellery storage if Lily managed to add small wooden dividers inside. This is exactly the type of things her auntie Margot would love. She took so much time cutting and gluing the pieces of wood that she decided she’d paint it another day, but she was proud of the result.

Cody was wearing a newer outfit, along with his many brothers, the exact same ones. They have received it as a good luck gift over break, and Jack and Dylan, Cody's fathers, have sent it in a box saying, "For the Ball in the spring! Don't ruin it, or I'll see to it you actually learn muggle cleaning methods." All the boys, thought it was a bad attempt to keep them from wearing the suit, so they decided to put it on the sixth of January.

Now, Cody's outfit was black, and it was more of a prince's style, but his was a toddler sized suit, as he was barely the height of a seven year old human child. His boots black and came to his ankles, and the soles were rough, tough enough to grip stone, not for walking vertically, but horizontally. As in normal walking. But to complete the look, ignoring the sceptre, the twelve year old part goblin smiled, rather smirked, as he walked into the Astronomy classroom with such elegance and grace of a royal king, the kind you would see in comedies as Cody wasn't from England to observe their royal methods. So the way he did things, he acted spoiled. Like one who was pampered one too much in his life. But- he had to give Read a break, the way he treated him as of this far, was atrocious, and he needed the professor to have one good thing to remember about Cody.

But it was an odd feeling. Cody didn't celebrate anything as of the day in January, January the sixth. He was in for a huge surprise. Epiphany. A holiday that was celebrated by most other countries apparently, and Cody never got to see what it was like. Well, after listening to Read and reading the posters set up, Cody set off to make his cartons or boxes and decorate them to look decent enough, as it was a holiday after all.

Cody also recieved fresh milk, and both Epiphany Tart and Twelveth Cake, and started his work. He used the orgami paper, but seeing as how he knew nothing of the art of folding, he used glue, scissor, and a special shape to make a box, or a six sided figure. Well, six sided third dimensional shape. His spiffy snipping scissorwork broke a sweat for the boy, and he so desperately wanted to pawn this work on someone, so Cody could sit back and watch them craft somethng for Cody, but was that acceptable? No. So he took iniative, and made a lowercase "T" out of the paper, making the bottom half three inches in height and one inch in width, and the top little segment of the lowercase "T" was one inch wide and one inch tall, whilist going at intersection now, making it cross the line Cody had just established, it was three inches wide and one inch tall.

Gluing the sides together, it was now six sides, a cube, even if it looked a little wonky, it was still a cube. One inch wide and one inch tall, ignoring the odd math of adding the length. Cody used the edge of the scissor, cutting out one slit where he glued, so it would open and close like an actual lid, like maybe a Jack in the Box. Minus the handle of course. The next step was adding stuff to make that paper cube look good. Cody used silver ribbon, and made a teeny tiny bow at the top of it, gluing it to the lid. Next, this was the last thing Cody was doing as he finished up his milk and delicious edibles. Cody was painting the box jet black even the lid, trying to avoid the ribbon, going easy as he brushed spots close to it.

Finally, he was complete. He finished the "quest" or activity that was handed to him, and hasn't threw a fit or gotten angry at the professor for once, that had to be mission accomplished correct? That being said, he left, thanking Read for the meal and milk.

After the winter break Samantha had finally returned to Hogwarts. The break had been fun, she had spent most of the time with her family and had enjoyed celebrating Christmas with them. The only thing that could have made her Christmas better was a reply from her best friend on the letters she had sent. The brunette hadn't heard a word from her friend since the break started, so she was worried about Vivian.

But now it was time to put all her worries aside, she was going to have fun. Samantha made her way up the Astronomy tower and wondered what the numbers and letters on the door meant. She had never seen the number and letters in that order before. The second year only came as far as realizing that the numbers probably represented the year, before she heard another girl say the letters represented the three wise men.

With her question answered, she listened to the professor explain what they were supposed to do. When he mentioned creativity, Samantha was a little disappointed. She wasn't the greatest artist, but she could still try. When she got the food and milk, her disappointment disappeared as if it had never been there.

Samantha looked for a place where there were fewer people. Not everybody needed to see her not creative decorated gift boxes and the young girl hoped she would see her best friend today. If her friend would come here, Vivian needed a place to sit, so that was why Samantha sat somewhere with a free place next to it.

She claimed the place by placing her food on the table and after that she made her way over to the table in the middle of the room. Everything looked very neat like somebody had spent a lot of time making it look this good. Samantha didn't want to ruin the perfect stacks of boxes, so she got the three on top of the stack. This left her with one round box and two squared boxes.

The young girl collected a few papers in different colors, scissors, glue, pink and blue paint, and 2 brushes. Her arms loaded with all the supplies she needed, she slowly walked back to the table. She had been completely concentrated on not dropping a thing, that she hadn't noticed Cash entering.

It was only when the girl sat down that she noticed that the older student had entered. Samantha had hoped that Vivian would join the errand, not Cash, but now she might as well have fun with it. Leaning back in her seat, she waved at them. "Hey Cash," she said fake friendly with a little smile on her face.

"You have come here to work on your creativity? Maybe you are more creative with this than with coming up with nicknames. I believe mine is shrimp, right? Not that creative if you ask me." Samantha was not creative at all, so really she had nothing to say, but she still did. But it was way too much fun to annoy Cash, how could she not do it.

Cash was glad when the new school term rolled in again. They can say adios goodbye to their Manor until the next school holiday arrived. Hogwarts has been a home for them more than their own house back at Oxford in the last three years that they have been studying at this majestic castle. Do they miss being busy with all their school-related business? Partially they do.

But it was the relief feeling that they always get every time they come back to the school. Every time they come home, they felt suffocated. Not to mention that Cash had been discovered during Christmas break that somehow their family related to Vivian Fletcher, scratched that, it is Vivian freaking Nightshade now!

Just because the blonde-haired girl has some old Pureblood family name behind her first name now, it does not mean Cash will accept her with open arms. Related or not, Cash will make sure and prove to Vivian that she does not belong to the Pureblood family let alone its society. But the whole family fiasco can wait.

The green eyes have had heard that the Astronomy professor held some kind of errand to celebrate some kind of holiday. Every time the school has some kind of errand, the young socialite tries to participate in it. And so they begin their way from the deepest part of the castle to the highest. When they arrived at the front door of the classroom, Cash felt a bit out of breath.

Sometimes this is why Cash hated being sorted into the house of Serpents. The climb up to the Astronomy tower always drained their energy. On the door of the classroom, Professor Read has written something in chalk. The green eyes shot the Astronomy professor with a polite smile, "Greeting, prof!"They said to the man.

Before they stepped inside the room, Professor Read give the green eyes some treats and milk to commemorate the festivity. As they ventured more into the room, they saw three statues standing in front of the room. Cash heard about the Three Wise Men before from their Abuelita grandma. But for dear life, Cash could not remember their name until they heard some girl mention the Three Wise Men names.

After receiving the treats and the milk, they put it down on the table. The Beater pick a place that was a bit far from the others students. They wanted to work on this little creative project in peace but it seems the universe had something against them as Cash heard the shrill of annoyance that is Samantha's voice called their name.

"What do you want, nuisance?"They growled out after the Cuban descendant saw that Samantha greet them way with a way too-friendly smile for their liking that definitely fake and wave at the green eyes to complete the fake pleasantries. Cash then passed Sam from where she was situated to grab some wooden boxes and the supplies that they need.

The young Ironwoods then walked back again to the table that they had claimed earlier. They laid or the boxed and the supplies on the table not too far from the treats Professor Read had been given. Cash was about to work on their first box when Samantha's voice greeted their ears. "You have come here to work on your creativity?"The other girl asked.

"Maybe you are more creative with this than with coming up with nicknames"Jabbed Samantha as she tried to rile Cash up. "I believe mine is shrimp, right? Not that creative if you ask me"Sam continued some more. Cash looked up from the first boxes that lay in front of them to the other girl."I think if my memory served me right, I am not only calling you that, cariña darling"Cash replied.

The green eyes quiet for a moment as they make a show by tapping their chin as they mocked San. "I called you plenty of lovely names"They continued. "I called you dirt, gremlin, mud, shrimp, small, should I go on?"They listed the names one by one. "And from where I stand, that list of names are pretty darn creative to me"They rebuked as they let out a mocking chuckle.

"But my favorite of them all, I think you know what it is,"Cash smiled wickedly. "My favorite one is mud-blood"Cash throw a smirk at Sam as they waited what her reaction will be.

Lucia had found herself retiring to the Astronomy tower a lot lately. (Although 'lately' was really only a week or so, it seemed like the Christmas holidays had been a million years ago.) After Alexa's - no, Lucia couldn't bring herself to say it, even in her head. But what she could admit was that, for the past year and a term, Alexa had always been the one Lucia would go to when she was bored or lonely or happy or anything really. She still had other friends, such as @Eun-ji Lee Hunt, with whom she had had a routine of meeting up every week at the ballroom for dance practise together (with this term came a strange lack of willingness to dance for Lucia, so she'd 'forgotten' about their first practise), but Alexa was her best friend. Had been her best friend. Lucia had withdrawn within herself, just scraping by in most subjects and downright failing in some. Astronomy was the exception to this, and was the only subject in which she was getting Outstandings. (Charms was the runner-up with a few Exceeds Expectations.) Because of this, the Astronomy tower (as well as the library) had becom something of a safe haven for Lucia, who had gotten permission from Professor @Nigel Read to come up and study when she had free time during the day. The Astronomy tower was quieter than the library, what with the fact that Lucia was usually there on her own, but still had plenty of books, even if they were mostly Astronomy books or old Muggle fiction. Lucia didn't mind this though - the notebook which she had started the summer before her second year and then abandoned until the start of this term was steadily filling up with constellations, planets, and spells, among other things. The third year was probably spending far too much time in the Astronomy tower for her own good, but... where else could she go? Everywhere Lucia went reminded her of Alexa, of her beautiful, kind, not ever coming back best friend. The pair had traveled around the entire castle together (bar areas which they weren't allowed into, of course), and now that Alexa was... not there, Lucia felt out of place. It was like Hogwarts, which had for over two years now been her home-away-from-home, didn't feel like where she belonged any more, not without Alexa. But when she was in the Astronomy tower, things were different. She could lie down on the stage and look up at the sky and read books about the galaxies and know exactly where she belonged. Earth was the perfect place for life, and seeing and reading about all those other planets and stars and moons and asteroids and galaxies and black holes which were definitely not the perfect place for life made her wonder and marvel at the simple things in life. Trees. Buildings. Even rats, which always made Lucia think of Alexa's old rat, Rascal. The workings of the universe gave her a distraction from the workings of her own life.

Today was similar to any other now. Lucia had finished her homework ('finished' meaning that she had completed the bare minimum for most subjects and sometimes a little bit less) and was now making the long treck up the stairs to the Astronomy tower. Luckily for her, the journey seemed to be easier every time she made it, but she was still at the point of needing a quick breather about halfway up.

When she reached the top, however, brushing past a boy [@Cody Stevenson], Lucia realised that something was different. The door had chalk on it, for one thing. Someone had written something on it, which was about to make Lucia annoyed but didn't because she then noticed the poster beneath it. 'Happy Epiphany!' it exclaimed, leaving Lucia nothing more than confused. What was Epiphany? Was it some sort of festival she didn't know about? Maybe it was some sort of self-care thing, meant to make people happier - after all, 'epiphany' was the state of being really happy, right? Or maybe Lucia was just reading far too much into it, she realised as she pushed open the door and beheld the scene.

In the centre of the room was a large table and some sort of shelf. On and under them were various boxes, cartons, rolls of wrapping paper, and craft supplies. Professor Read appeared to have abandoned his desk in favour of three statues, none of which Lucia recognised. Probably not a self-care thing, then. The whole setup, along with the people in the room, seemed to agree with Lucia's first hunch - a festival. This was confirmed by the professor himself when he quickly explained to Lucia what was going on. They were... decorating gift boxes? Was this an errand? Lucia looked around at the other students in the room. There were seven of them, mostly girls, mostly looking younger than Lucia, their boxes in various stages of completion. They were all talking talking to each other. Only two were recognisable to Lucia: Cash Ironwoods, and Samantha... Something. It had been a while since she'd spoken to either of them - although she'd seen Cash in the corridors a bit, the two hadn't actually said anything to each other, and Cash might not have even noticed the Hufflepuff girl walking with her head down.

Silently but with a small wave towards Cash, Lucia slid into a chair next to the Slytherin, not even noticing their sharp words towards Samantha as she let her shoulder bag fall to the floor beside her. What should she make? Should she even make anything? Maybe she should just leave. She should leave. But, despite this, she found herself standing up. Walking over to the table. Picking up a wooden box. "Now what?" she murmured, turning the box over in her hands. Was she supposed to theme it? Was she supposed to give it to somebody? Lost, she looked over her shoulder at the others. Painting appeared to be popular, but Lucia couldn't paint. Alina had always been the painter in their trio before she'd moved schools two Christmasses ago, and Lucia still had a painting of hers. It was of the three of them: Lucia, Alina, and Alexa. The three amigas, as it said on the bracelets which Alina had also gotten them. Always better together, as it said on the painting itself. Alina had left the painting behind when she'd gone, and now that Alexa was gone too... Well, it was Lucia's now, hung up next to her bed like a memorial to the friendship which had once been. Anyway, Lucia herself wasn't much of an artist, not really, so she needed something else to do. One girl seemed to be assembling her own box out of wood, but Lucia wasn't sure about that either. Wasn't it easier just to use a ready-made one? What was wrong with that?

Well, maybe Lucia was just going to have to do something easy. She would just decorate a pre-made box so that it looked nice. Yes, that was it. Having wandered over to the magazine rack, she looked through the various rolls of wrapping paper. They were beautiful - but she just couldn't choose! After a pause, Lucia gave up and just picked two out, taking them back to her desk along with some glue.

But it was when Lucia got back to her desk, arms cradling her box and wrapping paper, that she heard the word. Mudblood. And even worse, it had come out of Cash's mouth. Lucia hated that word now, hated it with her whole entire being. Alexa had had to deal with that word. Alexa, one of the most brilliant witches whom Lucia had ever known. In the- in the last two and a bit years of her life, Alexa Mackenzie had had to deal with being called that word. "Shut up, Cash." The words surprised even Lucia, quiet and hoarse as they were. She hadn't spoken very much since the start of term. "She- she doesn't have any dirtier blood than you do, and you know it."

Cash was too busy quarreling with Samantha that they did not recognize that Lucia had just entered the premise. Cash saw the small wave from the other girl but Cash chose to not respond it back. But when Lucia seat next to them that Cash noticed something about the Badger.

Lucia was the type of person that always had this approachable aura and warmth surrounding her when she meets people. Be it her newest acquaintances or an old friend. But that spark dimmed a bit and Cash needs to find out why Lucia became not the person they knew. Sure, other than both of them are from Oxford, it had been a long time since the last time Cash talked to Lucia.

They saw the Badger around the campus but that was it. Lucia was their friend once. Both of them grew apart and have different interests but it does not mean that Cash stopped counting her as one of their friends. Then there is a gnawed feeling in the back of their head to ask whether Lucia is okay or not.

The green eyes were about to ask that but Lucia choose to get up from her position to where the boxes were tacked up. Their green eyes followed Lucia's move. Cash never worried about someone except maybe Henry and Starlee since both of them share the same house as Cash but Lucia was a different case.

The young socialite watched Lucia walk back to her place again that was next to the Slytherin. "Shut up, Cash"The girl said to Cash hoarsely. If she did not seat next to the green eyes, Cash would never catch what she said as Lucia expressed quietly. Cash whipped their head around so fast it almost gave them a whiplash.

Their green eyes observed Lucia. Cash is convinced something have had happened to her that affect Lucia this badly. "She- she doesn't have any dirtier blood than you do, and you know it"Lucia said as she defends the gremlin. Cash's first initial reaction wanted to snapped back at Lucia but they did not have the heart to do so after they saw the state Lucia was in.

"You okay there, Luce?"They inquired the badger. "I mean Lucia,"They corrected her name. Cash remembers that Lucia did not like to be called that. "You can talk to me, you know"They continued. "I know we barely talk to one another and I admit it was my fault"They uttered. Then their green eyes averted from Lucia to Samantha.

"And for you,"They said. "Zip it, snail!"They had enough with Sam. Cash then glanced back to Lucia again. The state she was in worries the green eyes but Cash will not force her to talk to them if Lucia did not feel like it. Stressing over things will not do good for them. Cash then continues doing what they intended to do.

Cash is not the type of person that wasted their time to wrapped up some present when they know the recipients of the gifts could tear the wrapping under some seconds. And so they wrapped their first box in plain gift wrapped, added some strings, put some dry leave and pinecone on top of the wrapped box to make the gift look a bit nicer.

Once they have done with the first box, the green eyes move to their next box. Still, in a similar fashion, wrapped in a plain gift wrapper, this time around Cash did something new. A recent hobby that they picked up over last Summer and Winter is drawing. Gluing every corner of the wrapped box, the young socialite makes sure that it is up to their gift wrapping standards.

For someone who does not care about gift wrapping, they sure do want everything perfect. In the middle of the box, Cash draws big lines and on top of the lines, they draw a big bow to make the gift pretty. Their drawing did not stop there as Cash added some big polka dots surrounding the bow to decorate the gift even more.

Last but not least is the third box. The Cuban descendant looked down on the still unwrapped gift. At this point, they are out of ideas. Their green eyes looked at their surrounding. Most of the people that are in the room were painting their gifts. Cash and paint did not bond too well. The young Ironwoods then pursed their lips while wrecking their brain to come out with something.

Cash released a frustrated sigh when they still do not know what they want do with their last box. With that Cash gets up from their seat. Walking around, hoping their walk spark some inspiration.

Then they stopped at the table that provide all the things that one may need to create handicrafts. They filed out the many wrapping papers until they found a gem between the stack of papers. When they saw what they need, Cash grabbed the paper and return again to their station.

Several minutes later, Cash had done wrapping their last box of gifs. The box is wrapped in some kind of old newspaper pattern. The newspaper gift wrapped gave a classic and old vibe to the gift box. They then tie a string around the gift box and cut out a piece of paper resemblance to a speech bubble for the little greeting card.

Once the Beater was done with their crafts, Cash stacked their wrapped gift one after another. They pushed their creations aside gently and pull the treat and milk Professor Read had been given to them and started to enjoy it. Their mind comes back to the things that bother them. After chewing and swallowing the treats, Cash looked at Lucia again.

"What is going on, Luce?"Cash questions their friend. They tried to break the habit by not calling Lucia Luce but it seems old habit hard to break. "If you do not want to tell me, it is fine"They continued. "But I know how it feels like when you bottling up your feeling and it will definitely eat you up"The green eyes told their friend.
