"Study More, Play Less" mumbled Anna to herself.
"12 questions left...." she again mumbled.
She was in the study room, which was almost empty.
"Well, I can't concentrate anymore!" she said aloud, and slammed her copy on the table.
"Frustrating" she remarked, "Why didn't my mom say Study Less and Play More?"
Anna frowned a bit.
She kept the quill in the ink bottle, positioned well.
She wanted something exciting, more than just reading, someone to talk with.
"Who will come here to become your partner in studies?" Anna's inner soul said, a voice only heard by Anna.
"Why not, if anyone interested in studies." Anna said, silently.
She leaned backwards and sat comfortably. Her eyes were getting heavy, but suddenly with a jerk she made her eyes stare fully around.
"No one...." she said, sadly, "No one is interested in studies nowadays. Always enjoying the Great Lake and the Dungeons."
She remembered quite well that she had adventures in the dungeons. It was spooky but still amazing.
She removed all those thoughts and tried to write. Unfortunately, her fingers were getting red.
"I think I must go now." she said.
But suddenly the door opened.
"Atlast..." Anna thought, with a friendly smile to showoff.

When the world shows you several reasons to cry, give your life several reasons to smile.

Phoenix made her way towards the study room. She spent a lot of time there, half studying, half watching people. Phoenix longed to make more friends, to have fun, to go on adventures like the characters in the books but life wasn't that easy. Phoenix wasn't a risk taker when it came to her social life. To be so good in school but have so little confidence, someone could find it ironic. This is why she watched people. It may sound creepy but Phoenix liked to observe people before approaching them. She wanted to know them before actually getting to know them. She wanted to be prepared because the unknown both intrigued and scared her at times.

When she pushed open the doors, her eyes fell onto one girl who was already smiling at her. Her eyes were heavy and her stuff spread out over the table. She didn't look like she wanted to be here. Phoenix had seen her around the school and in this room before. This girl seemed nice. Perhaps today was the day were Phoenix could finally be the one to go up to someone.

She walked slowly towards her this way if the girl wanted to leave she had time to. She watched the girl for any sign of annoyance while she walked closer. She tried to decode her body language in order to know if she was open to talking or if she wanted to be alone.

"Hey" she spoke quietly when she reached the table. She gave the girl a small sheepish smile.

The girl, to Phoenix's surprise, seemed happy to see her. It was a relieve that she hadn't disturbed her. She actually started to feel excited herself; Anna's energy was contagious.

- Hi Anna, I'm Phoenix. Normally she would have stopped there. Saying as little as possible until she was comfortable but Anna, for some reason, gave off a vibe that gave Phoenix the urge to open up to her. You don't seem like you want to be here and neither do I. Wanna.. well.. only if you want of course. Do you want to do something else than plunge our minds in energy draining knowledge? It would be a shame for you to loose such a bright energy. She smiled at her.

She was hoping that what she had picked up was correct. Phoenix had assumed that Anna didn't want to be there only because of the spread out papers and heavy eyes she had when Phoenix entered. However, it was possible that she was mistaken and that she just embarrassed herself by assuming. Maybe the girl actually wanted to study and do homework so, when she had said those things about studying, the girl might now feel pressured in saying she didn't want to study although, inside she craves to flip those pages with a passion for information and...

She stopped herself when she realized that all this overthinking had led to her missing what Anna had responded.

- Pardon me, I was lost in my own thoughts. Can you repeat that? She asked a bit ashamed. She hoped it wouldn't come off as rude and... STOP her inner thoughts yelled.

Phoenix listened to Anna but her attention was easily diverted to a new face sitting next to them. She looks familiar. Of course! It's the girl from the study room the other day! Victoria is her name I believe. She listened to Anna and Victoria speaking. An adventure! Phoenix was hoping to be able to go on one someday but she hadn't found anyone to accompany her till now. She didn't even realize the smile that was creeping up her face. She just couldn't resist the sparks of excitement flowing through her.

- If you are interested in Adventures, let us decide where to go... I mean... won't we go on an adventure? What do you think, hm?

- I think why not. The best experiences at the ones we live not the ones we read about! She was almost to the point of jumping up and down.

- I don't know, maybe abandoned toilets, dungeons or kitchens? The question was a tricky one. Phoenix felt more intrigued by the dungeons though. It felt like the creepiest and most exciting.

- I'm voting on dungeons but I really don't mind where we go. In complete honesty, this will be my first adventure at Hogwarts so I am not picky about where we go!

She was slightly anxious about it but she wasn't going to show that. She thought it would make her look stupid or weird. It's just an adventure after all. She was more worried about the social aspect of it. She wasn't worried about not being prepared since she was practically prepared for anything in life. The only thing that she was scared of is what the girls might think of her. She had spent her whole life trying to fit in somewhere.

Phoenix considered what Anna was saying. She wanted to go on an adventure but she wasn't ready to break those rules for it. After all, the Great Lake is still an amazing place to explore!

- You're right, I hadn't thought of that. The Great Lake is an excellent idea! I vote on Great Lake then! What do you think Victoria? She turned her head to look at Victoria.

Phoenix could already imagine herself walking outside with Anna and Victoria while laughing and having bright smiles on their faces. It was also a perfect day to go outside. It wasn't too chilly and there was a beautiful sun out. She knew this because she had taken a walk outside to take air earlier today. She started trying to predict what could happen. What should I say? I hope there won't be awkward moments. I hate awkward moments, I never know what to say and then people think I'm weird. What if after this adventure these girls hate me and never want to go on an adventure with me again? I hope this won't happen because these girls seem so fun and cool while I'm just awkward and quiet. Stop talking. Thinking. Is this thinking or talking? Why do I care? Why do I think? Why do any of us think? Ok, this has to stop. I'll miss stuff from the real world again if I longer too much in my own head. Phoenix stopped the overthinking session and focused back on the present.
