Scared yet excited for something new
He stood on the platform after he got on it, looking at the train while standing by his parents who had gotten the time off of work to take him to catch the train. Having his trunk beside him looking up at his parents for the last time that year he feels like. So he was a bit scared though excited to go too. He grabbed his trunk starting to head towards the train. Stopping to look at them again before getting on the train.
"Well I suppose this is it, I will see you at Christmas holidays."
He got on the train waving at them through a window before walking along the corridor. Looking for an empty compartment. Finding one, putting his trunk up in the area provided for them before sitting down in the seat. Kind of flopping down in the seat sighing to himself looking out the window when someone rapped on it, seeing his mother wanting him to open it. Holding something she wanted to give him really quick before the train departed it being a package wrapped in purple wrapping with green ribbon, she always had an odd sense of coloring for packages. Taking it smiling at her wondering because she hadn't handed it to him before though she had a habit to be scatter brained sometimes too.
"I almost forgot to give you this Clifford, open it on the way it will be helpful to you on your trip."
He took it setting it on the seat by the one he had sat in returning to the window quickly. "Thanks mum, I will miss you and dad a lot while at school." He heard the train whistle start blowing, feeling the train start moving being knocked off balance by it. Falling onto the floor hitting his arm on one of the chairs from the movement knocking him into it. Slowly getting up, rubbing his arm with tears in his eyes a little. Getting up, sitting in the seat waiting to see if anyone comes to the department. Reaching over, picking up the package opening the paper and ribbon then opening the box pulling out the contents. There being some snacks Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans, chocolate frogs. A scarf with the colors of Hufflepuff seeing she is hopeful he will be in Hufflepuff like his mum and dad were, with some gloves that mum had also knitted. Some money in a little satchel and some books she thought he would like. Smiling from the gifts putting them back in the box except a chocolate frog opening it sitting there eating the frog. Happily humming to himself while eating the frog it being his favorite candy usually. Loving anything chocolate normally so he is happiest when eating something chocolate.
He looks around the compartment, picking up the wrappings from the box sticking the wrappings in his trunk. Not wanting to leave a mess in case anyone joins him in the compartment soon. He doesn't want to look messy, normally being pretty neat so he would have cleaned it up anyways without prompting being how he was. He leans against the seat looking towards the corridor. Watching others passing by not seeing anyone come to the compartment yet though he is eager for someone to stop by it, but is he too eager should he look away from the doorway? Should he look not to be interested? Should he look not so anxious? He has all these questions running around in his head. Being so nervous and scared having never been away from his parents for so long on his own with the exception of Hexiba the nanny they leave him with when they were busy at work. He and she being quite close, her being one if not his only best friend. He realizes he will miss her so much while at school. Having not been away from her for extended amounts of time since he was very little.
He decided to pick out one of the books, sitting there reading from it to pass the time away. Sitting there reading it, it being Hogwarts A History being so immersed in it he doesn't notice his surroundings now. That happening when he starts reading something a lot from loving to read. Having always loved to read immensely it being one of his favorite things to do. He was so into the book n0w if anyone came in he probably would not notice right away. It needing to have his attention be gotten by whomever comes in. "Wow this is so fascinating." he says aloud to himself, having the habit to speak to himself while reading things at times not realizing he is doing that at times.
