A new life
After swift goodbyes and being launched towards the wall separating platforms nine and ten of King's Cross station by his aunt Lily, Paul timidly made his way to the back of a queue of young kids just like him. They were gathering on the platform, waiting to enter the train.
"The Hogwarts Express, Paul! You'll see how magical it is! " said Lily just before saying quick goodbyes and sending him through.
Paul felt slightly scared, in the middle of all these strangers, laughing, shouting... Speaking about this whole new world he only recently realised being a part of. But deep down he felt that after this difficult year, losing both his parents, this was where he was supposed to be. Surrounded by people who knew what it meant to be in a family of wizards.
The laughter and excitement of the girls and boys surrounding him were communicative, and soon enough Paul was smiling. He couldn't wait to discover his new school, his new life.
Lost in his thoughts, Paul didn't notice the doors sliding open. The rush of the crowd, like a wind pushing him to his destiny, propelled him forward into the train.
It was time for a new beginning.

A new life
I suddenly got pushed into the train. “Woah!!!” I say. I fell onto the floor. “Ouch…” I got up and rubbed my head. I looked around the train. It was so cool! This year, I wanted to make new friends. It was such a privilege to become a wizard when my parents were muggles. I then saw someone I immediately wanted to become friends with! I walked slowly to you. I was a bit shy. I was always sort of shy when I met people. But I always said, “It will be worth it, because you will have made a new friend!” Then I paused. I wondered, “What if they don’t like me? What if they say I look ugly” but then I cleared all those bad thoughts. Then my Inner Thoughts said in my head, “Hey! Leanne! Stop thinking those pessimistic thoughts and focus on those optimistic thoughts, and if those bad thoughts DO happen, then don’t listen to them!” I nodded and muttered, “Thanks inner thoughts.” When I came to you, I put out my hand and say, “Hello! I’m Leanne Walters! You can call me Lea! Nice to meet you!” I smiled. I hope I make a lot of new friends, for maybe even a best friend, at Hogwarts.
