Clair had owned a rat for a while, after getting it in the start of the season there had been some fights over her owning the rat, living on a farm had not made it any easier, the Rat had had a ton of fun running about, until the one day when poor Lil' Clover had run out the window and into field, Clair had been heart broken, loosing her rat had been hard, way to hard.
Her whole family had searched, and searched. And at last they had agreed that the rat was gone.
Every once and a while Clair would see her little Clover in the barn with the other rats, but her once friendly rat was now wild and mean, refusing to come near Clair on any terms.
Well for Christmas Clair's Mother had decided to give Clair a new pet, so Misty (Clair's Mum) had sent Belle and Clair back to the small shop the get the pet of Clair's dreams.
Clair had wanted another Rat, but Misty's rules had been simple,
1) no rats or mice, if they live in the barn as pests then we don't want them!
2) it must cost less then 12 galleons.
3) you must be able to care for it.
Well three rules was not that bad, Clair could do it! So again she walked slowly into the shop, with Belle at her side and 12 galleons in her pocket, well in Belle's pocket.
As soon as Clair entered she heard the owls hooting and the cats meowing, lizards running around and other animals too.
Well Clair also smelled the animals and their wonderful smell.
The animals seemed to notice Clair and Belle as the two girls walked inside, Clair felt herself get that bubbly feeling that she got when she was excited.
Pygmy puffs were too expensive, Lizards were cool but Clair was not to big of a fan of Lizards.
Owls, cool but Izzy had a anti-other-Owl named Gilroy, so Clair was not able a Owl.
Rats were well, not allowed in the Fernandez house hold, Cats were cool!
Clair walked over to the cats, there were gray ones, orange ones, and tons of others ones, but none of the cats seemed to jump out to Clair, all of them just looked at Clair with a bored look in their eyes.
Clair moved on, and then came upon the perfect pets!
In the corner of the shop was some cages, clean and shiny.
Well Clair was drawn to these cages, she walked over to them, leaving Belle to look at the fluffy cats.
Clair bent down and looked at the cages, inside these cages were rabbits.
Fuzzy ones, skinny ones, white ones with ruby eyes. Black and white ones, brown and white ones, fuzzy grays.
Clair looked at all the rabbits, and then seen one, it was black and white, with brown eyes and a cute little nose that moved up and down, she looked at it and felt her heart melt,
"Oooh! Belle! Look at this one! I want her!" She thought for a moment "Or him, if it is a he"
Belle came over and smiled, "Well how much is it?" Clair looked around and seeing no tag went up to the counter, a woman sat there, "Er, Hello Ma'am, How much is the Black and white rabbit?"
The woman smiled "ok, the little Devil's spawn? It's 9 galleons!"
Clair jumped up and down, "I'll take it!" She went back to Belle and told her sister that she had found the pet she wanted, Belle smiled and nodded, "Ok, how much is it?"
"Nine galleons!" Belle nodded and pulled out Nine Galleons, handing them to Clair.
Clair went back and handed the nine galleons over the counter, "Can I get the rabbit please?"
The woman nodded and gave Clair the rabbit along with a cage, Clair hugged the rabbit, "Is it a girl or boy?" She asked slowly.
"It's a girl sweets" the lady said, handing Clair a cookie too.
"Thank you Ma'am!" Clair said leaving the store with Belle.
