Discovering the library
Saturday 4th September 2021 (Backdated)
It was Lily's first week-end in Hogwarts. She had been so busy with settling in, finding the classrooms on time, getting to know her schoolmates and sending owls back home that she didn't had time to go explore the place she was most dying to discover... the library. Anyone who knew Lily at all knew that she loved books and never felt as comfortable as surrounded by them. For her, libraries were an inexplicably peaceful and comforting place to be. And after all she had heard about the one at school, she was dying to go there.
She found it easily as it was located on the ground floor, the only floor whose layout she more or less remembered after her first week. She opened the door eagerly and let out a sigh of amazement. If anything, this place was huge. The bookshelves reached up to the ceiling and the corridors between them were furnished with tables and chairs that made you want to spend afternoons devouring the millions of books that the library must have had. Lily walked silently, religiously and admiringly between the shelves. As her eyes scanned the room, she absentmindedly noticed the librarian sitting at her desk, a group of fifth years already drowning in piles of homework, and a few students reading or chatting in low voices.
Lily smiled. She felt at home here. And she already knew she'd be back. She could just picture herself doing her homework, studying for exams and reading just for fun. She wondered if there was a club for book lovers here at Hogwarts. If yes, she was definitely going to join and try to meet bookworms friends!
