Therese doesn't know why she was surprised to have come here first - because, really, she shouldn't have been. Both of her parents would've known that the Hogwarts letter arrive sooner or later - so why wouldn't they withdraw the necessary money from Gringotts ahead of time? To them, there hadn't even been the slightest possibility of her not attending Hogwarts.

When they first arrived outside the shop, Therese honestly wanted to go in by herself - but mum had insisted on going in with her, though the elder woman had promised not to say a thing before they left the shop.

"Ah, Miss Williamson, I've been expecting you."

The statement had shocked the young girl - even more so when she looked to her mother only to see a look of amusement on Diane Williamson's face...did that mean this was normal? Therese wouldn't know. She hadn't been allowed to come with when her brothers had went school shopping.

"I remember even when your parents came in for their wands, your brothers as well."

He remembered her family? What did that even mean? Was he going to assume that what worked for them would work for her or -?

"Of course, we're here for your wand today...now, tell me, which is your wand arm?"

Oh, she supposed the look of dream l dread must have shown on her face.
