A letter back home
Kat reread the letter that she had written on the parchment, wondering if it was good enough to send to her mum or if she would have to rewrite it. Picking at all the small mistakes, she shook her head, tying the letter to an owls leg.Hey mum. It's Kat as you've probably guessed. I have some really good news! I was sorted into Slytherin, you were right. The people in my house are pretty nice, though I haven't really talked to them that much yet. Being alone isnt too bad, I've started to study my spell book and my potions book, I even finished the one that I brought with me, though it has nothing to do with Hogwarts.
The teachers are cool here I guess, though I wanna start doing things really big. Like using transfiguration to change a rat into cat toy. Or going into the forbiden forest to see the diffrent magical creatures. Anything really intresting.
I kinda wanna come back home, miss your face... And your cooking. Please make some rice and beans for me when I come back for holidays, I'm going to really need it.
I would love to write more but I want to get back to my studies.
Keep me up to date with whats happening around the house and write me back as soon as you see it.

Shut up. I don't care, as long as she replies back and I know that things back home are good.
She petted the owls back, smiling lightly. "To my mum. Please come back with her response," She said softly before telling the owl where her house was so she could find her mother easier before walking over to the circle in the wall and letting the owl fly off.
