"Its just another school..." Calliope muttered to herself as she pushed the luggage laden trolley through the busy station. Right by her side was her Aunt who was beaming with pride. She practically screamed in delight the moment the owl delivered Calliope's Hogwarts letter on her birthday. Between explaining the importance of it to her Muggle husband and telling Calliope all about about Hogwarts, she's heard that name repeated almost a thousand times since her birthday.

"Now remember, Calli dear. Right into th-"

"Barrier between Platforms 9 and 10. I remember, Auntie." Her Aunt beamed as Calliope broke into a slight run. Even knowing about Magic. Even with her wand secured into belt. Even when recalling that interesting suitcase her Aunt had with the 7 separate locks. She still felt her heart jump the moment her trolley was supposed to make contact with the wall. Before she knew it, she was standing on Platform 93/4.

After a short talk with her Aunt who told her to be careful during the school year and something about Peeves, Calliope was walking down the length of the train, looking for an empty compartment. Finding one towards the rear of the train, she slipped in and sat. Pulling out her copy of Tales of Beedle the Bard, she started to read in silence.

"This should be a long ride..."

Tomes are my favourite kind of book. They have so much information in them and they're heavy enough to bludgeon people with.

Andrew strolled through the populous station, lugging his luggage full of the required essentials, his azure eyes scan through his environment before his gaze stops as he spots the numbers nine and ten. He stood and paused for a moment searching his pockets for something, as his fingers finally feels on a folded parchment of paper, taking it out to unfold and read it's contents.

"To access Platform 93/4 find the support stone wall between platforms 9 and 10, and run through it. Sorry I had to send you here on your own champ, work has been hectic as of late. Make sure to take care of yourself - Mr. Harrington"

After reading the contents he pockets the note away, letting out a sigh before locking his stare at the wall between 9 and 10 muttering to himself "This is crazy... But after everything I don't think they'd joke about this..." His grip tightens onto the handle of his luggage, quivering a bit in hesitation before taking a deep breath as if to gather the courage needed to push himself forward into the brick wall.

After shoulder tackling into the wall he stumbled a bit forward a bit losing his balance clumsily, trying to stabilize himself as to stand up straight he looked around in awe at the sudden transition between the muggle station and the wonderful magical world in this current station he finds himself in hearing the whistle of the train go off as he scans his surroundings.

'Amazing...' he thought being astounded by the overwhelming mythical ambience the location was giving off.

After admiring the atmosphere he then continues to step into the train walking through the hall looking for a seat, seeing a majority of them is full or boisterous, he then stops by and spots tis quiet girl who looks around the same age as Andrew is reading her book peacefully in this lone compartment.

"Hey sorry, is it ok if I take a seat here?"

Slowly, boarding the train, Chess looked on towards the long sturdy walls of the train, the smooth oak wood and the glass peering over the station as she saw her family again, walking along side her before waving goodbye.

She timidly replied back, now sheepish as she quietly strolled over the hallway, watching smiles and excited chatter over the sides, her longing of sweets made her bump onto one of the ladies handling the snack cart and buying some candy, before continuing on with a small hopeful look, taking a deep breath and muttering to herself that it was okay and that being away from home was okay.

'Everything is okay...'
Chess closed her eyes as she hugged her bought bags of snack close, averting her eyes towards the red carpet of the train, walking along to avoid a few tall strangers, here or there.

'As long as I can avoid everyone, Ill be myself once I'm in hogwarts...or in private'

'Everything is okay...' she thought to herself, holding her sling close as she nuzzled onto the scarf she bought, tinker goggles onto her head as she tried to make herself small and move away from anyone.

Moving to each cart room while peeking in to see anyone there from the outside, dragging herself at a hurried pace as she tried to respectfully excuse herself from anyone, her shoulder lightly brushing onto a student from time to time, murmuring an apology each time.

The girl slowly stopped onto her tracks as she was close behind a tall boy's back, trying to take a step back and move to the side, whislt taking in the time of each small bump of the train to keep herself on steady, not wanting to bump onto someone.

'hopefully this ends quick, Anything to stay from the crowd is alright.' The girl timidly watch, her hand itching to her bag to play some games that her and her brother bought, a portable hand console that could distract her from the ride and the people all around.

A peaceful time away from it all, in all...she really does hope she would get some friends soon.

As the train slowly gained speed and started to chug its way up North towards Hogsmead, Calliope was just starting her 50th re-read of Tales of Beedle the Bard in what she guessed to be a long and quiet train ride. Well until someone stuck their head in and asked if the seats were empty. Lowering her book to peer at the newcomer over the top of the book, she took a moment to study him.

There was a rather tallish boy with messy brown hair and bright blue eyes. A First Year based on his expression that screams out "I'm lost". After a short moment of just staring at him, Calliope merely hummed and nodded before going back to her book. Or she would if it not for the second lost looking First Year behind said boy. This time it was a freckled girl with long messy hair that was barely tamed by a some hair clips and ribbons and what looked like a pair of goggles. Feeling some measure of pity for her fellow First Years, she carefully stood and poked her head out of the compartment.

"Hey. You want to join us? Its just me and this boy at the moment." Calliope quietly offered the freckled girl.

"Might as well... I don't think the book is going to last me the whole train ride anyway." Calliope thought to herself.

Andrew modestly nods, seeing the girl giving him the 'go ahead' as he steps in to take a seat before turning around to see the timid girl who has been standing behind him. "You're free to join us if you like." Andrew stated towards the timid freckled girl before he helps himself with a seat.

Andrew rests his back onto the seat, his eyes glazing over to the window detecting that the train has started moving as he'd let himself be captivated by the view outside as they made their way to Hogwarts. As Andrew continued to stare through the glass pane of the window he recollected on his last goodbyes to his foster family, and what he was told about his family, having this faint hint of uncertainty in his expression, hoping that his time in Hogwarts would provide the answers he needs, for all he knows he'd probably have to accept that he may have to wait 7 years to finally be able to seek his answers, but this was a good place to start to learn about one's self. The expression on Andrew's face was blank, but also contemplative, almost as if he already shut down all of his senses from the environment around him.

The girl yelped as she jerked out of her skin, the tiny solace of being invisible just tossed out of the window, a creak escaping out of the pelt floor from her sudden pace, looking down before obscuring in her scarf again, just as her cheeks slightly turned pink in the embarrassing noise she managed to emit out of herself within the departing trip of the train, her hand on her frantic heart when she saw both the girl and the boy noticing her presence.

Chess nodded before rubbing the back of her head, a small nervous smile written onto her lips. "sure...I wouldn't mind, thank you" The girl softly replied in a gentle tone, meek as her hair tousled against the goggles, her small hands softly grabbing onto her sling bag, stepping towards the seat beside the door.

Sitting onto the plush seat her hands on the ground, she looked at the nook of crannies of the compartment, her gaze focused on the features of the shelf, windows and door. The small slightly jotted screws, bags pushed onto the edge as it settled off nearby the blurring images past the station, the small particle of the dust wafting down onto the air before looking towards the two strangers.

Her hands slowly went to her bag before offering to the two of them some snacks that she bought from the snack cart, easing the tension and times where everyone was just recently fresh from leaving, after all, if she's anxious about leaving home, others would be crying right now, so it's best if she would help that now if given the chance she got.

"My name is Chess Vatellis, What are your names?" The girl introduced herself before asking them, heels of her shoes, black leather boots paired with knee-high rainbow socks onto the compartment floor, but the boots alone were odd, different, in front of where her toes would be looks of like rubber flip flops with holes on top and near the soles, crocs and an odd mixture of leather boots together, as her fingers on the hem of her scarf slowly loosen itself and fix herself to look tidier and give a small friendly smile...albeit looking still minuscule and faint to offer on a first impression for the others.

Andrew's eyes flashed at Chess' as she offers them some snacks, surprised by the gesture; He analyzes her for a bit, thinking she's probably just trying to get our minds off things, and ease the tension, funny considering you'd think those who wore colorful socks would be more expressive; to be fair... it is a daunting thought to be away from the people who've raised you, the gesture is probably a way to mask her own worries through taking care of the worries of others.

He then accepts the snack and nods towards her flashing a slight smile emerging from the corners of his lips. "Thanks Chess, my name's Andrew Jones, nice to meet you." His voice was soft and monotonous hinting a tone of gratitude behind it, before looking towards the silent and impassive girl waiting on her introduction as he opens up the snack taking a nibble onto it, his bites not letting a crumb fall onto the floor or his shirt.

Now that Andrew thinks about it, perhaps making some few connections in this school could benefit him, so why not start with those in this compartment; His eyes find itself looking towards the book she was holding titled 'The Adventures of Beedle the bard' which intrigued him, considering he was raised by a muggle family, he'd be unfamiliar with the books of the magical world.

Taking a seat in one of the compartments at the front of the train was a rather regrettable decision Garreus had made, as everyone was rowdy and overly excited. Though understanding that it's everyone's first year into Hogwarts, he's not exactly one for crowds and noises. He figures it'd be best to find another compartment to transfer to, preferably one that has a more quiet atmosphere. The other kids weren't talking to him anyway, so Garreus just grabs his jacket, rises from his seat and exits the compartment, making his way down the cars to find a calmer room.

"I can finally hear myself." he says, letting out a sigh. "If I stayed there any longer, my ears would be ringing."

The narrow corridors made it rather inconvenient to traverse the train cars, not to mention the other students standing around somewhat blocking the pathway. Garreus however did not have a hard time going through the obstacles in his path as he gently pushes people aside as he passes by them. "Excuse me." he says with an authoritative tone. "Coming through."

Moments after travelling down the train, the hallways started to be a lot more vacant. The only things he could hear was the train itself as well as some light chatter coming from some of the compartments. "Right." he says, adjusting his appearance. "Hopefully it stays this way until we reach our destination."

Garreus was relatively well dressed, sporting a white polo shirt with a red necktie and black slacks, although his appearance is somewhat ruffled from traversing the crowd earlier. He dusts himself and fixes his necktie, making sure it's placed and aligned properly. Once he was done, he slings his jacket over his forearm and searches for a compartment that was either empty or not full. It was then he stumbled upon a compartment that sat three people, a girl reading a book, another sporting rather colourful socks, and a guy with somewhat messy hair.

"Beg your pardons," he says, cracking a little smile. "Don't suppose this compartment is full?"

"Nope, It's never full! But you are free to stay here if you are uncomfortable enough!" She hummed as was tinkering and piecing the small gadget while the moment passed by, her visions gleaming in mirth when she set up a small puzzle click before looking up to the sleek and professional-looking boy before plucking her pouch and offering it towards him. "Here! A candy or two, it isn't much but it's something to welcome you in! Especially with all of us here!" Chess hummed as she gave him a small grin.

"My name is Chess Vatellis, but you can call me by my first name!" She happily spoke, a smile on her lips."Are you new here too?" The girl asked, noticing how well kept he looked, was she supposed to look fancy now or was that their sense of taste more? The girl wondered before going back to the current conversation at hand, her focus quickly switching to the four people within the compartment, her feeble hands now of the incomplete gadget, all of it returning into her back in good condition.

"And if that the case, how did you all grab your letter? A big ol' bird dropped it down, it was cute and I managed to feed it slightly before it went back on its way" The caramel haired girl smiled and fumble with the hem of her socks, her dark brown eyes still intently focus on the small details of the others, as someone who is used to see the magic and invested to see the potential of their power, especially how they'll use it.

"I'd love to know strangers that can by my friends!" She smiled, her meek persona slowly fading away as she finally started to be slightly more comfortable.

"Ah cheers!" he says as he takes a candy Chess offered. "Mmm.. Sweet!"

Garreus then takes a seat next to her, folds his jacket and places it next to him. "You won't believe how extremely rowdy it is up in front. Felt like going to the market or something. Anyway, the name's Garreus Steele." he says, cracking a smile while offering his hand for a shake. "You can call me Garreus. Yeah I'm a first year. Am I correct to assume you all are as well?"

He then folds his arms, crosses his legs and leans back unto his seat, taking a more comfortable position. "I got my letter from the post... Or I guess an owl as well. It was just sitting on the postbox with the letter on its beak. Caught some rather interesting looks from our neighbors, but I suppose it's not every day you receive mail via owls. Talk about receiving mail old school eh?"

"And what about you two?" he says, turning his attention towards the other two in the compartment. "You can call me Garreus, nice to meet you both. How do you do? Mind if I inquire what your names are?"
