Let It Snow
Saturday, December 11th

Calynn rolled over in bed, slowly sitting up and looking around. A few of her dormmates had gotten up but the majority remained sleeping. There must be some correlation between Ravenclaw girls and sleepiness because they were always like this. Cal hadn't yet lost her early-bird tendencies from when she was younger— a plus in her book. So much more time to do whatever she wanted! How could anyone give that up for sleep? It was hard for her to imagine.
Upon opening the curtains of her dorm room, the first-year was greeted with a pleasant surprise. Snow! It was so fluffy and white! From the Ravenclaw tower, it looked like someone had come out overnight and spread a coat of marshmallows across the normally-green grounds. That sounds delicious. Calynn giggled at the thought. Perhaps she was being a little too loudly because one of the others let out a half-asleep grunt of annoyance.
Calynn rummaged around to find her winter coat. She could swear she had left it under her bedside table but perhaps not. Her entire bedside area had become a bit messy over the past few weeks but she didn't have the motivation to do anything about it. Cal pushed aside the mess and found her coat buried in a pile of other stuff. If her housemates hadn't been woken up by the previous noise, at least three of them were semi-conscious now. She could wait for them to be ready to go out, however, Calynn's impatience threw that idea out of the window.
She made her way down to the ground level of the castle, trying to take the staircases that she remembered working in her favor before. The Ravenclaw picked up pace as she neared the door of the castle. There was no time to wait. The snow was calling her name!
Once Cal had reached the grounds she took a second to look around her. If she thought it looked good from the dorm rooms then it looked incredible from eye level. There were a few other students out who were taking advantage of the snow but there was still far more than enough space for everyone.
Calynn hurried and found a spot that would be good enough to enact her idea. An ideal spot to build a snowman would be close to a good snow supply for convenience but it seemed that other students had taken the better spots for sledding and other winter activities. This one would do just fine though. The Ravenclaw gathered a small handful of snow before beginning to go about turning the balls into a festive little man.

Let It Snow
Dressed in a huge yellow coat embroidered with flowers and butterflies, Millie stumbled outside the castle. She would first spare a moment of time to crane her neck so that she could stare into the sky as soft snowflakes fell onto her face, melting as soon as they made contact with her warm skin. With a giggle she would stick out her tongue, attempting to catch a couple before her tongue darted back into her mouth and she took a jump away from the castle. Tiger was following her, but the bengal cat did not look like himself. His fur was now of a sandy brown, in some placed lighter in others darker. A simple spell really, easy to master for the young metamorph. Millie saw a couple of steps in the snow, indicating that someone else must have left the castle not too long ago as the snow hadn't covered up the tracks yet. For the blonde girl it meant a potential friend and so with glee in her eyes she would make a game out of jumping from one of the steps into the others, as if to not cause any more footsteps to disturb the blanket of fresh snow that had covered the entirety of the grounds. A pair of brown high boots made to resemble the color of chocolate and the design of a bunny would leave fresh imprints in the snow. Soon he would find the person behind the track, catching sight of a girl that appeared to be her age. Though the person behind Millie, Alan, was well aware that he was much older and also was acting a little silly right there. But in a way it was fun, being able to play around with no one having any expectations about the way he should behave.
"Hey!" the voice chirped, a clear and soft tone that the metamorph had practiced a lot lately. "Mind if I join you?" Millie would ask, as she glanced over at the girl with a grin that could have melted away the snow with its warmth. She jumped across the last meters before coming to a halt right in front of the girl where she gave a silly bow, as if her jumping had been in any way impressive. Of course she was just being silly. "I am Millie and you?" Her golden locks were tied back into a braid and a beanie had been shoved upon her head in an attempt to hide how messy her hair looked from frolicking around. A matching Hufflepuff scarf was effectively wrapped around her neck to keep her warm. The only thing left that could be described from her outfit was the jeans one could see cover her legs where the coat couldn't, though in reality that jeans were dungarees but not that it mattered as it wasn't even apparent in the situation. Alan hoped to have made a friendly impression on the girl, as Millie stretched out a hand wrapped in thin gloves, in order to properly greet the girl who's name she had yet to learn.
