Never Alone

Emily had finally arrived in Diagon Alley together with her parents, she was very excited to buy the stuff that she still needed for Hogwarts. She walked through the streets looking at all the shops she was able to visit, there was so much, she had no idea where to start, so she decided to start at the top of her list, and so walked off every shop. Once she got everything she really really needed, she looked at her list and the galleons she had still left. She had 12 galleons left, and on her list, she had checked off everything out of a pet. Did she want a pet? Of course, everyone wants a pet, but could she afford one?

She walked through the streets searching for the store, and there it was, a shop with owls hanging outside in cages, when she walked in she saw that one particular owl was looking at her, they had eye contact, after staring at the owl for a while she turned her head and walked inside the shop. Once she got inside, she saw many pets. There were owls, cats, rats, toast, and even more animals. After looking around, a woman came towards her asking her what she was looking for. "Uhm, I'd like to buy a pet, but I'm not sure which one." She said the woman said she could continue looking around, and ask her if she needed help with anything. She thanked the woman and smiled. After looking around into the shop, looking at every pet, she felt like none was the right one to choose. They were all beautiful, most sweet, and looked lovely, but none spoke to her, not in like an actual way spoke to her, but none felt the one. She needed to find her one.

She walked over to the woman and smiled. "Could it be that no pet fits me?" She asked the woman. "Why would that be?" The woman answered sweetly. "I just, none feel like their the one, I pass them, look at them, and none feel like them the one I should get." She told the woman. "Hmm, have you tried the once outside?" She woman asked Emily. Emily started thinking and then knew it, the owl she had made eye contact with, that was the one she would get. "Actually, I think I know which one I want!" She says smiling. She walks outside together with the woman to get the owl, once they got back inside, the woman said. "That will be 10 galleons dear! You chose a very good one! A Tawny owl, not too old! Have you thought of any names for him yet?" The woman asked her. Emily thought and then decided to give him the name she thought would fit him great. "Rufous, he looks like a Rufous!" She says while handing the woman the galleons. And after sorting all that out, greets the woman and walks outside together with her brand new owl.
