Purple Powder = Trouble
| - | Cross was stupidly good at herbology. And when he found himself elbow deep in a box of Bouncing Bulbs, he was the only one in the classroom not pulling back with a shriek when the plants jumped at his throat. They were grounding up the bulbs today, having to knock them out before halving, quartering, and finally grounding them in a fine purple powder. It was something he'd unfortunately had to do for his mom many, many times. And not being able to use a wand for the first eleven years of his life meant he got very good at tangling the angry little plants in their own stems and restraining them before they tried to choke the life out of him. Twenty minutes of the class had passed, and the box of powder beside Cross was slowly filling up. The bulbs in his box were nodding off, grumpy noises coming from their general direction. It was an overall impressive display - seeing something which was essentially a purple ball display so much emotion. "Oh shut up, you're gonna do great things." Cross said, swiping some of the powder off the desk and dropping it on a piece of parchment. A piece of parchment which was folded and quietly slipped into his pocket. Pumpkin juice and the Pompion Potion went quite well together, and the student who'd inspired his ire would soon learn to not leave his drinks unsupervised. |

Purple Powder = Trouble

Interacting With: @Daemon Cross
There were many qualities about Herbology that Lizzy enjoyed, but one of the best was being outside. Back home, she had been outside 80% of the time and the other 20% was only occupied indoors with the library, school, and sleep. The seemingly endless forest in which her house resided was one of her absolute favorite places to be. She couldn't fault Hogwarts with much, but one thing she could fault it with was the only forest on school grounds being forbidden. Honestly, she didn't care if it was dangerous, it would just make the exploration of it that much more fun.
Snapping back to the present, Lizzy turned toward the box of Bouncing Bulbs she was supposed to be grounding up into a fine, purple powder. Her slight hesitation may have been mistaken by a fellow student as worry or skepticality, but in reality it was just her mind hard at work. Before tackling most any task, Lizzy preferred to think it out. What was the best option? What was the fastest? The easiest? The most efficient?
It didn't take her long to come to the conclusion that she should sneak up from behind the plant and place a surprise attack upon it. Her hand crept up behind the bulb and grabbed it. It began to struggle out of her grasp, so she had no choice but to hit it hard. Hard enough to knock it out cold. It really wasn't that hard to knock it unconcious. Though the bulbs had a spectacular defense mechanism, they didn't have the best constitution.
This continued for the next several minutes. Lizzy had decided to knock them all out before grinding them up. She figured it would be easier and she would hopefully avoid surprise attacks mounted upon her by the bulbs. Now, with them all knocked out, she had begun to slowly grind them up. The bulbs were supposed to be a purple powder, but it still was shocking to see the lilac color the bulbs produced.
Just then, Lizzy heard a whisper coming from the table next to hers. Looking in that general direction, she saw a Hufflepuff boy maybe a year older than herself. Lizzy watched closely as the boy slipped some of the powder into a piece of parchment and then into his pocket. She didn't know precisely what the attributes of the powder were, but she didn't like the look in the boy's eye as put it in his robe. "Hey," Lizzy hissed. "What do you think you're doing with that?"
