I Very Much Appreciate Your Company

Time: 2:00 PMFlipping through the pages his eyes skimmed the tattered book trying to find the page he left on. Shortly after arriving under the tree, Alex had dropped his book causing the bookmark to fall out. Therefore he just lost his page number with agitated him greatly. Letting out a low mutter he tilted his head back and stared at the tree that he laid under. Its leaves were blanketed in snow and almost seemed frozen in place.
Alex let out a sigh and put the tattered book back into his bag where it would be safe. No use in trying to read it now. He had lost his page number too many times to even remember what he was reading it would be useless to try and find a page he couldn't even remember. He felt a chilly breeze blow through the grounds and huddled further into his black jacket and pulled up the fur hood. He thought he had dressed appropriately but it seemed he just wasn't built to stand the cold.
He picked up another book from the pile of books he had on him and opened to page one. Pushing slightly curly brown hair out of his eyes he focused on the task at hand. Finishing this book. Alex had weighed the chances of staying inside to read but he didn't like the constant noise of students talking and scurrying around. Of course, he now wished he had decided to go to the library but it was too late he was already invested in the book he was reading. He soon became lost in the world of his book and forgot he was sitting in freezing snow on top of a blanket.
