─────Lisa had already spent a few months at Hogwarts. And she had seen many students have a pet. They were all really cute. So one day she sent a letter to her mother, asking if she could have a pet. And she agreed.
So one weekend in November, Lisa and her mother went to Diagon Alley. Then they went to the menagerie. Lisa's eyes widened, all these animals... She was going to have a hard time choosing one. There were cats, rats, , Pygmy Puff, owls... Lisa had never seen a Pygmy Puff, but she thought they were too cute. Her mother gave her fifteen galleons.
-Pick one out and meet me at the Apothecary shop, I have some things to buy.
-I'll do that.
Her mother left. Lisa loved hairballs, so she asked the lady at the counter.
-Uh, hello, how much is a Pygmy Puff?
- 20 galleons, said the lady.
Lisa was a little disappointed, she only had fifteen galleons. So she tried to find something else.
She looked at cats, mice, lizards, snakes, and even spiders, but none of them were to her liking, and it seemed mutual. Then she heard a small noise. It was a small, muffled noise, but a little cute. She turned around, there was a little ball of fur. She moved closer, and gently held out her hand. The little ball went to nestle in it and then raised its head. It was a very small owl. And its eyes were adorable.
-Oooooooh, Lisa gasped.
This bird was even cuter than the Pigmy Puff. And it seemed to like her.
Lisa turned to the shopkeeper.
- What is his name?
- It's a girl. Her name is Hootie. She was born in September.
Hootie was barely bigger than Lisa's hand. She rubbed against it, as if she wanted to stay there forever. But there was still one question.
- And how much did she cost?
- Fifteen Galleons.
Lisa was relieved. She had just enough. She gave her the money, thanked her, and left the shop. She had the sweetest, cutest owl on earth.
When Lisa found her mother in the Apothecary Shop, she was beaming with happiness.
-It looks like you've found something!
-Yes, it's Hootie.
Lisa showed her her little owl. Her mother smiled.
- It looks great on you. I'm glad you found it.
-I'm glad you found it too.
