The snow started to fall on that december day. A chill blow over the peaks of the cobblestone buildings of London. Children eyed the snow from windows, anxiously waiting to run out and build snowmen and engage in snowball fights that day.
Young eight year old Henry Knight walked behind his father and twin sister on a snow layered sidewalk. The young Henry has dark brown hair, neatly combed with a set of bright blue eyes and fairly tan skin wearing long jeans with a grey sweater and dark blue jacket that is a bit to large on him. Along with a pair of scuffed up trainers.
Henry held his hands in pockets, following his father and twin as his blue eyes looked at the snow around him. Softly smiling at the scene.
Annabeth held onto her father's hand, lightly skipping with her legs shivering a bit from the flower overalls that she was wearing, determined that the cold wouldn't bother her legs. The girl's dark brown hair blowing on back of her red jacket, no longer neatly combed. Matching her twin, she has bright blue eyes with light tan skin.
Their father; Luke held his daughters hand in in hand and a briefcase in the other. Walking briskly, the man didn't appear like his children with black hair and hazel eyes paired with a fairly tan skin.
It was strange for the twins to be acconlanying their father, usually they were left at home to wander or find their own fun but that day Luke offered to take the two for ice cream. It was a rare event so both excitedly agreed only to be a little let down when they had to go to the ministry first for some sort of meeting about a creature that Luke had.
Henry followed his father and twin to the phone booth, glancing at it for a moment before walking inside. Watching as his father pressed the code and answered the 'operator' before the phone booth started moving downwards, Henry nearly tripped over his feet as he looked out at the approaching floor of the ministry of magic.
When the booth touched the ground, Luke opened the door letting his two children our first before hastily leaving the booth and walking through the atrium. Annabeth skipped toward her father, grabbing his hand as she jumped from crack to crack on the floor. Henry looked at the rising phone booth for a moment before turning and running after his father and twin.
Luke came to a stop by a bench on the side of the atrium leading toward a hall filled of offices, Annabeth swung her hand that is holding his hand and Henry stood in from of them. Luke looked down at his two young children as he spoke"I have to meet with someone about a creature, you two stay here for a few minutes and don't get into trouble. I'll be right back then we'll get ice cream, I promise," Henry nodded toward his father's words but Annabeth pulled on his hand as she complained"but I don't want to stay here with him! Can I come with you, father? Please!!
Henry eyed his twin, his eyes widen a little as he felt hurt but didn't say anything while his father responded"I have work to do, Annabeth. Just stay here for a few minutes and I'll be right back, no questions or complaints," Luke squeezed his daughter's hand a little who looked up at her father and complained"but I don't want to be alone with monster like him!" Henry looked at his twin, blue eyes wide as he felt his bottom lip begin to trip and a wave of hurt wash over him. The young child took a breath, not wanting to cry or make scene. He couldn't. Not again. He had to control his emotions... at least he had to try.
"Annabeth, you know you don't say that word about your brother," Luke spoke serenely toward Annabeth who rolled her eyes and pouted a little as she spoke"but he is, father!" Luke pinched the bidge of his nose with his free hand for a moment, taking a calming breath before looking down at the two children as he spoke"I have to get this done so Henry wait here, please and Annabeth come with me but don't do or say anything." The two twins nodded in unison.
Luke looked over at Henry before turning on his heels and going into the hall with Annabeth skipping gleefully by his side, the two disappeared into one of the offices.
Henry stood in the atrium. Alone. The child looked around, wondering what to do next as he sat on the bench occasionally swinging his legs. The child was bored as he wondered how much longer his father would be. How much longer would he have to wait there. Alone. Left to his own thoughts. To his own imagination.
Henry got to his feet, climbing up on the bench and standing up on it to appear taller as he looked around the near empty atrium. As a child no one would question if he started playing or make believing.
The boy pretended he saw something from across the atrium as he spoke"is that's a niffler? No it's a thunderbird!" The young child jumped off the bench, swinging his legs in the air. Landing on his feet and stumbling forward a bit before looking around as he spoke"I think I saw it over there! Where is it? Where did it go!"

Flynn followed his parents through the light snow that was falling outside. He had never been to the ministry before with his parents. He knew they had to come here often for meetings because they study magical creatures and beasts, but he never knew why there were so many meetings. They walked fast as to quickly get to the meeting, they were running behind. As they entered the phonebooth entryway, Flynn got a bit scared because it was all new to him. Once inside they briskly walked towards the meeting room. "Son once we get close to the meeting room, I need you to go sit on the benches because you aren't allowed in the meeting. Do you understand?", as Flynn's father spoke he could tell it was a slightly serious meeting, he nodded to let his father know that he understood.
As they approached the meeting room Flynn saw the benches where he was expected to sit. He looked at his parents who looked back towards the benches, he then left their side to go sit down. Once he reached the benched he noticed a boy who was older than him. The boy was standing on a bench, he then said out loud "is that's a niffler? No it's a thunderbird!". Flynn watched as the boy jumped down from the bench and looked around as he was looking for the invisible creature. Flynn decided he was going to join the game the boy was playing and he said "I think it went that way" he pointed to the other side of the corridor "Come on we have to go get it before it escapes!" He looked around to see if the older boy was okay with him joining in. He never thought that he would make a friend while coming with his parents, maybe this was a new friendship.

Looking around the ministry atrium for the creature, the yoing boy stood on his toes and canned his neck back hoping to see further into the ministry.
Turning and jumping on the bench thay laid besdies him, the boy placed a hand over his eyes as he looked when he heard a voice neae him.
A bit startled, Henry looked and saw a samll boy. Probably younger than him with blonde hair and green eyes pointing to the other side of the corridors while talking about the creature. Henry looked like the boy, fiddleing with his hands since he wasn't use to other (especially other children) coming up to him to talk or play with him.
Henry looked around, he wasn't sure what to do. He could his anxiety bubbling over him and his nerves pickling his spine. This is new and rather strange for the yoing eight year old, he didn’t have Scarlett or Annabeth there to help with the social interaction. Only him. Henry kinda wanted to play wirh the boy, he didn’t have a lot of friends and majority of his friends are female so he kinda like the idea of having a friend whoes a boy.
Smilimg with his decision, Henry jumped off the brench swinging his legs as he stumbled forward a bit when landed. The eight year old ran the short disntance to the boy with a smile as he continued the game and spoke"did you see it? Then your r...right we have to g..get it before it escapes," Henry woold follow the bot afross the corridor not expecting that the day his father would drag him and his twin to the ministry with a promise of ice cream he woild meer a new friend. Maybe this could be a new friendship for the boy? Henry could certainly use it.
Smiling at the boy as he cupped his esr and spoke"did you hear that?" turning to look at the blonde ad he continued"I think I heard it! It sounded s..scared," lookimg at the boy sidways with a worried face. Eyes wide and bottom lip trembling as he enjoyed playimg this game with the boy, looking around Henry woold make a blowing sound at a attempt to whistle for the creature.
Remembering they didnt know each other and sticking to the game, Henry turned to the boy and smiled as he placed his hands on his hips and spoke" I'm m...magizoologist Sliver Knighton!" Posing for a momenr before taking his hands off and pointing to the side as he spoke" was t..that it or no its a pixie."
