☁ Detention For ☁
@Lizzy Solace & @Cody Stevenson
It wasn't hard to acquire some cleaning supplies from within the castle. There were cleanup errands all the time to help make the castle spotless, or in this case the duelling room. Willow thought a fitting punishment for two people that wanted to duel so bad was to spend some time in the duelling room. Cleaning. Every. Spot. Of. It.
Top to bottom, the dummies, the piste, everything. It had been awhile since it had a proper deep clean and this would be good especially with the amount that the different houses practiced in here. It would be a big undertaking, but again catching Willow before she had a chance to eat was a recipe for disaster and greater punishments. She had left in the middle of dinner to prepare the detention, getting the supplies and bringing them to the room. After she was all done it was just a matter of waiting. She sat on the duelling piste with one leg dangling off, swinging back and forth. Whenever the two showed up, Willow would explain the cleaning they had to do and all the supplies they had for it. They were not allowed to use magic to do the cleaning for them.
The worst part of detentions was having to watch them, luckily she had also brought some knitting to do as well as a book to read should she get tired of knitting. It was getting to be the cold season and she was trying to get a head start on all the homemade gifts.

@Lizzy Solace @Willow AndersonA fit of anger would leave the boy's system. He wasn't mad right now, perse, instead, he was very disappointed. Disappointed that he had to go to the Dueling Club for detention. What did he do wrong? He was always told to find a mechanism to relieve his frustration and anger, and he GOT IN TROUBLE for it!? Why?
He grabbed a bucket of water and a rag, and begun to scrub the futhermost corner. If he was going to lose his dignity for this, he'd make it worth his while... and not the Hufflepuff Prefect.
"This is your fault Lizzy. Why would you get me in trouble?" Cody would call out, still scrubbing, and he didn't know whether Lizzy Solace knew what he said. With utter embarrasement, he would get up, walk over to Willow, and begin talking to her, first in gobbledegook.
"O vorg xua vuakb'ti riim sgi squai rsuqux cigomb os ekk. Sgos. Tgor orm's lx deaks. O bobm's bu emxsgomf vquumf." (I wish you would've seen the true story behind it all. Shit. This isn't my fault. I didn't do anything wrong.) The part goblin coughed. "Sorry, uh puff prefect. Why am I here? I- I- if you want to think about it, why expect me to scrub every spot here, when I can't reach past four feet?" He'd say, a little smile forming on his face.
He turned around, looked at the ground, and used the wet rag, and scrubbed in one spot.

Lizzy still could see the look on Willow's face when she had come over to stop Lizzy and Cody's duel. After she had told Lizzy she would be getting detention and freed her from the spell that had been holding her in place, Lizzy stayed where she was, a look of shock on her face. She had never once in her life gotten detention. When she realized there were now quite a lot of people staring at her, she glared at Cody one last time and spun on her heel away from him, running out of the Great Hall. She ran all the way to the Gryffindor Common Room before letting out her tears. Lizzy almost never cried, and when she did, it certainly wasn't going to be in front of people. Cody Stevenson had gotten her her first detention, and she wouldn't forget it quickly.
Lizzy walked into the duelling room, where she saw Willow waiting for them on the duelling piste. How ironic that the prefect had chosen the duelling room for their detention, though Lizzy supposed it wasn't irony at all. She would just have to make the best of this, and kill talk to Cody later. Lizzy slowly made her way over to where Willow was sitting. "So what do we have to do?" Lizzy asked. She could feel the shame clear on her face as she asked Willow how she would serve detention.
That's when Lizzy noticed the cleaning supplies on the floor. She sighed and nodded in understanding to Willow, before grabbing a bucket and rag. She made a point to go to the opposite end of Cody and started scrubbing. If there was one thing Lizzy didn't know how to do, it was leaving a job half done. "It's not my fault Cody, but why don't you just shut up and get your work done. The sooner we can leave the better. He was having a conversation now with the prefect, trying to get out of detention! How dare he! "Why don't you speak English, Cody, so we can actually understand what you are saying?" Lizzy called over her shoulder.

@Lizzy Solace @Willow AndersonWould anyone care what he said, especially in Gobbledegook? No. Not at all.... well, except for the vintage girl (Lizzy) yelling at Cody, telling him to mind his own business. It's HIS business to GET OUT of DETENTION. He wanted to leave Lizzy there to scrub the dueling club from top to bottom. If she'd never met up with Cody to duel, they wouldn't be suffering. This was her fault. Cody was determined. He got up from scrubbing his one spot, rather intensely unfortunately, and moved to scrubbing the platform where the duel occurred, begun scrubbing the terrible footprints off of it.
"Why does everyone leave footprints everywhere? They're dreadful to scrub off. I only wish that people clean up after themselves, I mean, when I dueled with Lizzy, did I leave footprints on the table? Doubtful. Well, It'd be a surprise." Cody decided to quit yammering, and start scrubbing harder. Finally, it begun to get off the material. You could hardly see any footprints there.
For a moment, Cody considered withdrawing his wand, but in concerns for getting another detention, he wasn't going to risk it at the moment, especially since this prefect seemed undisturbed to remove house points from her very own house.
A moment passed, Cody took a breath, looked at Lizzy, then looked back down. Could he lie about being ashamed? Unlikely. Sure, Cody lied all the time, but even if he cared enough at the moment, he wouldn't try to talk the prefect into getting him out of detention, as that'd bring utter embarrassment to him.
He would continue scrubbing if he knew what was good for him, no matter how much he wanted out. He couldn't stand being in the same room with Lizzy. And if he had to be a million precent honest... he really started that god awful duel. He didn't even give Lizzy a chance to attack back! He was a rotten, horrible, miserable, dueler known to mankind, and if he would admit that out loud, Cody would suffer major humiliation.
For some reason, someone once said Creativity is Intelligence having fun. That's a complete lie. He wasn't feeling intelligent, or creative in detention. Whoever said that deserves HIS detention.
"Listen, Willow and Lizzy. I'm truly sorry. I deserve being here. It was my fault. And I'll- not make promises- try to avoid starting another duel after a prefect already told me. I'm sorry. Can you ever forgive me?" It was funny how fast detention changed the boy's attitude. Perhaps it was the fear of getting caught that changed it.
Whatever it was, it slightly motivated Cody to continue cleaning. Even though he couldn't reach higher than four feet, he decided to try to scrub the corners of the room. Every grit and grime there was. Every little speckle of dirt. He would make his dream occur.

This Concludes My Detention! I Might Post Again After Cody Though.
Lizzy was furious at Cody for getting her into detention. She had never had a detention in her life, and back home she had gotten in more than her fair share of trouble. The key with that though was she was never caught. No evidence equalled no punishment. However, in this case, Willow actually knew they were duelling thanks to Cody and his big mouth, and she had a whole room full of witnesses to back her up. There was plenty of evidence in this case.
Lizzy turned her focus back to the dirty floor before her. Her vigorous scrubbing was getting off the worst of it, but there was a lot left to do. The duelling room was huge, perfectly suited for all the duels that took place here. Who knew, though, that Hogwarts students could be so dirty? Couldn't they just magic the mess away? Lizzy shifted her position to a dummy that was clearly used for practice. It was so beaten up and worn down, she thought Willow would hardly notice if she didn't clean it at all. She glanced over to where Willow sat. The prefect had a book and knitting needles with some yarn next to her. At least one of them was having a good time. Lizzy wondered how Cody felt, a prefect from his own house giving him detention.
Lizzy rubbed a little of the soapy water onto her rag, and began scrubbing the dummy, careful to avoid the little tears it sported. Quickly finishing with the dummy, Lizzy moved back to the floor, scrubbing at a new section of that. A new section meant new dirt and dust. Hooray. Sadly, Lizzy agreed with Cody's assessment about the footprints everywhere. She doubted that either of them really had left any footprints like the ones here.
Her mind was still having a hard time grasping the fact that she was in detention. She had apologized in the Training Jamboree, but she felt so bad, she might just apologize again here. No matter how much she didn't want to apologize to Cody, she would just have to toughen up and do it. Unfortunately Cody beat her to the chase. Her apology wouldn't sound half as good now. "Yes, Cody and Willow, I am incredibly sorry that I allowed my pride to get in the way of rationality. It won't ever happen again on my part." Lizzy paused before adding, "I do forgive you. I think we both have a problem with our arrogance." There it was. A heartfelt apology, and forgiveness, which wasn't an easy task for the Gryffindor. She looked back at her section of floor, and resumed her cleaning.
