Clair had been walking down the street of Diagon Ally bored, she had gotten all her things that she had needed, and she still had three hours until her mother picked her up, Belle, her older sister had left her to explore alone, so now Clair was walking down the street bored out of her mind, she decided to go into the pet store, maybe there was a cool pet wanting to be bought?
As she walked inside she heard the tinkle of the bell above the door, she could hear the noises of the animals, this gave her some good memories of her life back at her family's farm.
When she entered she met a owl at first sight, she shook her head, no matter how great they were she did not have enough and Owls were not her favorite animal. She wanted something small, something cute and cuddly.
She walked by some lizards, they were small but not cute.
She went by a pygmy puff, cute but she had heard that they bite. Feeling rather lost Clair noticed a elderly woman, most likely the owner of this great shop.
She walked up to the woman and smiled "Hello Ma'am, can you help me please?"
The woman looked up at her and smiled, "Sure dear, what do you need help with?"
Clair smiled and started to explain, "well, I have 5 galleons, that friends sent me, I would like to get a pet something small and cuddly."
The woman smiled and walked over to a large cage, in side there was small fuzzy little fluff balls,
''I'm sorry Ma'am, I can't afford one of these, they are too much money." Clair did not want to be rude and say that she did not like the tiny puffs.
The woman nodded and smiled, "Ok how about these? They are easy to train, eat very little just bugs, and are one 5 galleons!"
The woman was pointing to a yellowish lizard, Clair shook her head, "I'm sorry they are not very fluffy and I do not like to watch things eat bugs" the poor girl felt like she would never get a pet, none of them worked for her! That was when the kind old woman showed Clair the adorable little rats! There was Grey ones and brown ones, Clair loved the little grey one! She smiled and pointed to the little grey one, "Please may I buy this one, Ma'am?"
The little grey one looked up at her, she loved it so much! The old woman smiled and picked up the rat, she then handed Clair everything she would need to care for the rat, Clair paid and walked out of the store, her new rat cuddling with her!
