Exploding Snap

"Come on Alex, we only have half an hour before we need to get back to class!" Annie laughed, running over to the enormous, beautiful fountain in the Courtyard and finding them a seat. Winter had finally arrived, and Annie was snuggled up in a large, navy-blue coat, and a fluffy white hat, with matching gloves and scarf.
She knew they should probably be inside, but Annie loved the outdoors, and wanted to stay out there, even in the darker months. She adored that crisp, winter air and the way snow lightly peppered the tops of the trees and the cobblestone. Still, Annie felt herself shivering and knew they wouldn't be able to stay out here long before they were longing for that large fireplace in the Small Hall.
"How do we play then?" She asked Alex chirpily, feeling excited. She'd met Alex in quite a few of her classes over the last couple of months, and they'd quickly realised they had quite a lot in common. He was quite energetic too and could keep up with Antoinette when she was in one of her playful moods.
Despite being a half-blood, Annie had never heard of Exploding Snap before Alex had mentioned it yesterday, and she'd been eager to learn ever since. She'd spent most of her time playing muggle boardgames, rather than magical. Annie guessed it was because her parents were unsure if she possessed any magical ability (she had started to show signs quite late).ReducioI hope this is okay lovely! Let me know if you need anything changed.

Exploding Snap
"Gosh sometimes I hate winter..."
Alex blew into his cold hands and rubbed them together to try and create some time of warmth. He quickly stuffed them into his pockets and hurried after Annie who was a bit further ahead of him. He let out a sigh but continued to push forward after his friend with a smile on his face. He and Annie had met in class and hit it off almost instantly.
While Annie had an interest in the Wizarding world, Alex was more curious about the muggle world. Taking deep breaths breathing in and out he could see his breaths leaving small like clouds in his trail. The trees around the courtyard looked like they were draped with a white silk blanket almost as to protect them from the cold. Winter the month Alexander both hated and loved had already begun. The world always seemed to look best in a white wonderland filled with festive decor the only thing was he liked to watch from inside and not actually be there. Dressed in a large black coat with white cuffs and a white scarf. On his head rested a black hat with a black pom hanging at the end and two white gloves.
He stepped through the powdered cobble floor and sat down next to Annie at the fountain not before wiping of the powdery snow. Reaching into the depths of his pockets he retrieved a deck of Exploding Snap cards that he had gotten as a gift from his Father. He had watched his relatives play this game all the time at family gatherings and was quite familiar with it. "Ok, the premises of the game is quite simple." he started to pass out the card until they each had a small deck of cards. "Now since your new to this, I'll let you go first. The rules are pretty simple as far as I can tell. When you see two identical cards, hit the card with the top of your wand that's one point for you. The player with the most points wins." he flipped to cards that had identical pictures but left them untouched by his wand. "The hardest part is the cards shuffle faster and faster." He put the cards back in their places and watched as the cards shuffled again.Reducio@Antoinette Asteria

Exploding Snap

”Don’t be such a baby,” she replied playfully, noticing the way he stared at his own breath and rubbed his hands together. ”It’s good for your lungs!” Then, feeling a little guilty, she added. ”One quick game, and then we’ll go in.” Annie had spent the majority of her youth outside, and was used to the cold weather. She sometimes forgot that not everyone tolerated it or was as well accustomed as she.
Alex was one of the people Annie felt most comfortable with. She was glad that they’d met and was finally starting to settle in here at Hogwarts. It had been an overwhelming few months, but meeting Alex had made it a whole lot easier. She watched as he settled himself next to her on the fountain, her eyes brightening with excitement as he pulled out the cards. They didn’t look magical, but Annie was very intrigued to see what they could do.
Straightening up, she began to listen with more concentration that she had in class all morning. ”Oh cool! So it’s similar to normal snap,” she said, then realising what she’d said, added, ”Well, not normal. Muggle snap.” She giggled. ”With muggle snap, we just use our hands. It can get a little violent.”
Annie watched in amazement as the cards began to shuffle with more speed than before. ”That is so cool! Right, okay. Do you shout snap when you hit the card with your wand?”
ReducioNot at all lovely! Your post was great, and no rush at all!![]()
