I Think Cinderella Ran Away
@Alexa Mackenzie so sorry for how late this is!!It was early October, and things were just starting to get cold. Well, cold by Scotland's standards - by Lucia's standards, it was cold pretty much all the time here in Hogwarts, apart from the summer months, which were often cold when it was raining, which was often. As it was, the temperature had now reached the point where Lucia had to wear a coat whenever she left the common-room, which had far better central heating than the rest of the castle as far as Lucia knew. (Well, apart from the Divination classroom. The Divination classroom was always pleasantly warm.)
Having just eaten dinner, Lucia and her best friend, Alexa Mackenzie, were heading to the library. It was a short walk from the Great Hall - or, it would have been if Lucia hadn't forgotten her books, meaning that the pair had needed to take a detour to their dorm room first. Now, with a canvas bag containing two rather heavy hardbacks and three not-so-heavy paperbacks, Lucia apologised (again) for the delay and gave her friend a remorseful smile.
And then screamed as she saw the orange ball with green legs cut across the corridor in front of them.
"OH MY MERLIN! What was that?!"
