As a new year arrives at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, so too does the arrival of a new year for Lear's Army in the school; teaching Defense Against The Dark Arts to anyone who needs the support. Jacob himself is the leader of Lear's Army though he himself struggled in his first year. As of today, the entirety of Lear's Army will be practicing defensive spells specifically the counter-curse to the tongue-tying curse, a spell that Jacob has yet to learn. Thankfully he has a friend who specializes in the subject and will be instructing the students on the counter-curse. As he is waiting in the abandoned bathroom which serves as Headquarters of Lear's Army. He wonders about the arrest of Harry Potter but puts it aside as that is a subject for another time. He also wonders if any of Lear's Army would arrive... If they don't arrive then he would have to cancel the entire lesson and he would rather not have to do that. His mother these days is warning to stay away from a life like this thankfully she got over the depression last year. He eventually celebrated his birthday in September: His first birthday since his father was killed... He remembers what happened vividly on how his father was killed by a dark wizard and doesn't want that fate to befall anyone else on fear if he does it would mean many more would die on his account. He himself is still not over his fathers' death, and he cannot accept it just yet. He remembers when his father would tuck him in at night when he was young and remembers waving goodbye to his father and at Platform Nine and Three Quarters just before his first year. He was happy, but now it's all doom and gloom for him. As the others begin to arrive he greets them by saying "Welcome, come on in" in a welcoming manner hiding the doom and gloom he feels about himself as it is buried deep within so it can fester and grow.
