I have reached 20 posts, but I haven't gotten the 'Report Card' option in my dropdown box yet...
Is this because I'm not part of the official Index, or because I haven't completed my trunk?

Hi @Ebony Vetra! Welcome to the site! Homework opens after 20 posts and 10 days on site. So you actually have 2 more days until homework will unlock! It'll unlock at the same time that you registered. So since you registered on 4 Oct 2021, 06:36 , it'll unlock at 14 October 2021, 06:36 (or whatever time it was for you in your timezone).

@Ebony Vetra the report card will appear on the 11th day after your validation. That means after your character was approved and you did your sorting

Hi, I have a new question which is also about classes and spells.
Do you have to have the assignment marked to be able to add it into your trunk, or will you be able to after you completed the assignment?

The assignments must be marked because when you want to add the spells in your trunk, the index team will need to see the screen shot of your report card and see your grade if you're really qualified to earn the spell.

You must wait until you receive a grade for the assignment. Once you have, as long as you receive a grade higher than a T, you may post in the Encyclopedia Update Form. There, you must provide screenshot proof of your report card (Not the graded assignment) and the spell will be added to your trunk for you.

Classes are also not mandatory, even to receive spells. Once you graduate and move on to the next year (i.e. Move from first year to second year), you will receive all of the spells and potions taught in that year, regardless of how much homework you completed.

I was just about to ask that question but it seems it's already been answered for me. Thank you so much for the clarification. The report card hasn't shown up for me yet either.
