Endless Letters
Zylpha was slightly nervous to post her first letter to her new Quill Pal. It was a great initiative, if you'd ask her. A great way for new students to meet new people. She crossed her fingers, hoping her Quill Pal would be as excited as her. All she knew was that her Quill Pal was named @Lizzy Solace. The rest would be a complete mystery, but that would at least give them something to write about! With a slightly trembling hand, Zylpha posted her first letter to Lizzy, eagerly awaiting her reply.

Dearest Lizzy,
I'm grateful that you and I were paired up for the Quill Pals-initiative here at Hogwarts, even though I do not know you. Yet, somehow it is nice to know that there might be someone you could let your heart out, without having the confrontation of being forced to tell what's bothering you face-to-face.
I think I should start with introducing myself, right? Well, I'm Zylpha! Zylpha Scarborough, from Aberdeen. A true Scott, as my father likes to refer to it. The ancient clan culture is still very important to my family, and yes, my father and brothers still wear their kilts every now and then. I come from a rather large family: one older brother, Absalom, two younger sisters (twins), Leah and Aphra, and one younger brother, Isaac. And, of course, parents. My dear mother, Mae, and my fierce father, Lazarus. Both my parents were in Slytherin, back in their days, and I think my brother would have been in Gryffindor, if he would've gone to Hogwarts. I, on the other hand, am in Ravenclaw!
As for my personal interests: I love wandering around if forests, drawing animals, writing down what I see. I also enjoy a good book every now and then, while laughing at what muggles THINK is fantasy, however in truth...
I'm curious about you, as well. Who might my mysterious Quill Pal be? What does he/she/they like to do? I'm also curious how you experienced your first few weeks here at Hogwarts! Just wondering if I was the only one who was a total, chaotic mess for the first three or so weeks.
I hope to hear from you!
Magical well-wishes,
Zylpha

Endless Letters
Lizzy heard an urgent tapping sound on the window. She looked out to see an owl with a letter in its beak, and hurried to open the window and let it in. She had heard that owls delivered people's mail to them, but she hadn't ever experienced it herself. It was from her Quill Pal, Zylpha. Lizzy was glad that something like Quill Pals existed here. Otherwise, she might not have thought she would make any friends in this new place. She read through Zylpha's letter and quickly turned to a nearby table to begin writing one back.
Dear Zylpha,
I agree, it is nice to have Quill Pals. I might not have made any friends at Hogwarts otherwise. I'm getting ahead of myself though. I'm Lizzy, Lizzy Solace and I'm from London. Your family sounds lovely, mine is not anywhere near as big! I lived in a forest in London with my parents and older brother Ben. Ben and I were really independent and had very few friends, we mostly relied on each other for friendship. I am muggle-born so I do not know nearly as much as you must about the wizarding world.
I myself enjoy reading, writing, music, and being outside in nature. It is truly amazing what you can see if you just stand still, and let the world around you continue on while you just watch it in all its beauty. Well that's enough about me for this time. I want to say once again how happy I am about our Quill Pals set up. I will be eagerly waiting your next letter.
