Thank you Ari for encouraging me to write this: @Ari Gwild
The sound of footsteps hitting the rocky pathway, or courtyard, was deafening, of course, it was at night. Hardly anyone was out there. Peacefulness overtook his mindset. Cody was delighted, the feeling of the sun officially leaving just to return eventually, was so... lifting.

His heart would continue to thud, no matter what would come to his aid. The imagination of feeling better, was what interested him. He laid out a tablecloth, of black and orange, with sprinkles of purple on it, as to honor the month of October. Halloween was indeed the boy's favorite. If anyone dared to take it away from him, you can bet that there would be a lot of resistance from Cody.

The smile glinted on his face, his eyebrows burrowed. Sure enough, in honor of Halloween, or the spooky month, he made his own Halloween decorations to hang all over the place. Orange pumpkins with silly faces, gray tombstones with funny names and jokes on it, fake webs with real spiders, well... tarantulas. It was a dream come true for Cody.

Tonight was the night he wanted to greet some people, and so he smiled. His eyes seemed to wink when he did so. He attempted his bloodcurdling scream, turns out that his voice is way too high pitched when he screams, but normal for an eleven year old boy when he talks. He tried to modify his voice to be deeper, the intellect of talking, in a deep voice, was insightful.

A grim cackle escaped Cody's lips, as he prepared the foods, since he was able to assist the House Elves in the kitchen to prepare the Halloween goodies for this little meal. It didn't really matter to him who would come or not.

Pumpkin Juice, Pumpkin Puree, Pumpkin Pasty, Pumpkin Pie, and Pumpkin Cider, were only the pumpkin flavored consumables. A long array of apple meals and drinks were laid out, and then a nice collection of meat, like Turkey, and Ham, were spread out, cut up, and made in a way where you wouldn't possibly use a knife in a combat with someone if you disagreed with them.

The boy hummed a song he thought was mildly interesting. Monster Mash. He was only humming at the moment but if more people arrive, then he would begin to sing the songs. Let's have fun, the Muggle way.

The spirit of Halloween hung strongly in the air now that October was upon Hogwarts. As the last bits of sunlight was drained by the rising moon, the courtyard had a haunting look to it, perfect for the occasion. Ari was strolling the grounds, letting his mind rest from the stress of schooling.

Fog settled around the spires of the towers surrounding the grounds. This was just....spooky. It unsettled him, particularly because he was by himself. He needed to hurry and get back inside. Considering the Wizarding World, even though Hogwarts were safe grounds, there were still plenty of things that could be floating around.

"At least apparating is impossible on campus," Ari wondered allowed.

Soon he'd made his way into the courtyard, surprised that he had let himself wander that far without noticing. He'd walked this school so many times, it was probably more aimless walking than anything, and he knew the map by heart already, so he'd be able to find his way back. Thankfully, he wasn't too awfully far from Ravenclaw Tower.

And there was a table in the courtyard. With a kid sitting at it. They were humming softly to themselves. The table was set with nice food, fashioned with Muggle-esque Halloween decor.

Ari approached the table cautiously. Upon further inspection, the student was a blonde male. He was a Hufflepuff, and a first-year judging his appearance.
"Good evening. Is this a party you have set up?" He asked the other, still keeping his distance.

Cody looked up, another first year seemed to find him once again. But yet, the other boy began to talk. "It's not much of a party right now, and I doubt people will want to come and celebrate with me after what happened with Winnie's party." He looked up to Ari. "Uh- not that you were there or anything, but I threw a cupcake, claimed it was stale, then proceeded to get attacked from all sides, and luckily, Juniper was doing the same thing, kinda, she thought it was delicious. But I got flipendo'd, and I feel awkward when I think back to that. So, if you don't mind, please do not ask me about that event."

Regardless, the boy skipped singing the monster mash, but proceeded to make his version of the popular muggle song; Zombies. Well, in this case, it was a parody. He called it: Freddy Stevenson.
In the graveyard,
In the graveyard, we are fighting,
With tombstones, and adava kedevra,
And crucio, and imperio.
In the graveyard,
In the graveyard we are cryin',
In the graveyard,
Freddy Stevenson and me.
We're in the graveyard, in the graveyard,
Freddy Stevenson and me.

But I'm in so deep,
I'm such a fool for Freddy Stevenson,
Freddy Stevenson's got me wrapped around a finger.
Do I have to heal others?
Do I have to, do I have to heal others?
Oh, I thought the world of Daniel Stove.
I thought nothing could go wrong.
But he was a toad, but he was a freak.

In the graveyard, in the graveyard,
Freddy Stevenson and me.
We're's in the graveyard, in the graveyard,
Freddy Stevenson and me.
(a note, Freddy Stevenson is Cody's twin, so don't take it wrong.)

He paused, looking at Ari. "So, What do you think?"
