Classes had been rough today, not particularly because she found them hard, but more so because she had too much on her mind and had not allowed herself the time to properly process enough of it. Maybe she needed to hunker down and have an honest conversation about it. San sighed as she walked through the halls carrying more books than she probably should have been getting ready to make her way back down toward Slytherin to drop them off. She had plans to go out and take a long walk outside while she had the time, maybe help her clear her head, but it would seem the castle would have other plans.

“The hell…?” She whispered to herself as she came across a young girl, probably a first-year by the looks of her, attempting to catch and pumpkin with legs? First, she comes across a group of first years trying to tame transfigured transfiguration furniture geese, and now this? What was even happening in this school? Granted, this was tame compared to what she was used to, and in a way, she was thankful for that. Even this was a slight distraction from the things swirling about in her head.

Santario would, of course, be quick to act as she dropped her books and book bag while drawing her cherrywood wand. “Hey! I am going to try to cut its path off and drive it towards you, see if you can get at it.” She was not sure if her plan would at all work, but it was at least worth a shot. “Ventus!” Santario flourished her wand attempting to cast a gale of wind in the pumpkin's path forcing it back towards Clair.

I am allowing the mods to decide if my Ventus is successful or not.

Clair seen the girl walk in, she looked like a third or fourth year Student, and guessing by her outfit a Slytherin, she hoped the girl would help, when she heard the girl say that she would try to cut off it's path she smiled, the Girl was going to help!
When the girl casted the spell the pumpkin had moved away from it, maybe it was the wind or just timing but it had moved towards her nevertheless! She got ready to pounce, she was ready the pumpkin ran straight at her, Clair got scared as the Pumpkin moved at a great speed towards the girl's face, sure on her farm Clair had picked up Pumpkins, but never Pumpkins that move or run at your face! She jumped back a little, then she realized that she could most likely jump at it, she let the Pumpkin come really close, and as soon as it was about a foot away from her she jumped, but the Pumpkin seemed to know and ran away from her, she landed on the ground with a THUMP!she got up quickly, hoping not to get run over by a pumpkin, she then seen that the pumpkin was running at the other girl now! "watch out!" She yelled hoping her warning was soon Enough!

Two girls were hot on the trail of a giggling pumpkin. One girl in particular sent a strong Ventus spell flying towards the pumpkin, making the torches flicker shadows onto the wall. The pumpkin skidded to a stop and changed directions running to one of the girl's legs and hugging it, trying to hide from the "scary shadows" on the wall.

Santario’s prowess in duelling really showed as her well-aimed Ventus scared the pumpkin in the direction of the younger girl, but it seemed that the pumpkin was literally terrified. The sudden gust of wind produced by her wand had made the candles flicker, casting dancing shadows on the walls of the castles, and just like a small child, the pumpkin panicked.

It had been running towards the girl but quickly changed directions and ran towards Santario. “Are you oka- Oof!” The pumpkin had run into her, grabbing onto her legs. Santario’s hand shot out and braced herself against the wall stopping herself from falling over, given her lack of stabilization as both of her legs were encircled. “I think we scared it.” She chuckled softly before looking down at her legs. “Well, only one other thing to do here… Finite Incantatem!” Considering the pumpkins seemed just enchanted and not transfigured, she was happy to see it turning back into a standard jack-o-lantern.

“Well then, are you okay?” Santario approached the younger girl as she pocketed her wand. “I’m Santario Martin” She held her free hand out to the girl in greeting, and now that she was close enough, her prefect badge could be more easily noticed.

Clair saw that the girl had caught the pumpkin and turned it back into a normal Jack-o-lantern, she smiled, the pumpkin was caught and not going to hurt or squish on any people, she smiled with triumph, it was not every day that a pumpkin ran around like a living thing! she went over to the other Girl, "I'm ok, are you ok?" she asked, reaching out her hand "nice to meet you, my name is Clair Fernandez, OH your a prefect!" she exclaimed Happy and nervous all at the same time, "thanks for the help, I think that the pumpkin wanted to squish us!" she chuckled a little, "I don't know if you knew about the furniture turned geese thing, but man! Hogwarts has some odd things! she smiled a little, "It's my first year, but my Sister Izzy, she is a Slytherin, she says this kind of stuff happens all the time! is that true?" Clair pulled her hair back from her face where it had fallen, while she had been chasing the pumpkin, "what do we do with it now? just leave it here?" she hoped that the pumpkin would stay a not running pumpkin, "it seemed to be enchanted, I wonder who did it!" she said

Santario hoisted the pumpkin up a little to get a better hold on it and smiled at Clair. “Yes, I am. It is a pleasure to meet you, Clair. I couldn’t just walk past and have you try to deal with it on your own. Though I am sure, you are capable.” There were many things the girl could have done by herself to catch it, but sometimes it was just easier to have that extra bit of help now and again, especially when you didn’t have access to a ton of spells yet.

“I did see the geese; yes, I helped another group who was having a particularly rough time with the geese they found.” She laughed a little and nodded when Clair asked her if things like this happen often. “Often enough. People get access to new spells and decide they want to play pranks, or maybe the spell didn’t go as well as it should have.” Santario ran a hand through her hair and shrugged a little when asked what they should do with the pumpkin.

“My best guess is that it came from the great hall. We could probably just leave it on one of the great hall tables, and it would get taken care of before next mealtime. Probably returned to whoever needed it since they are probably decorating for Samhain.” Santario was decently sure it was just an enchantment gone wrong for decorations, so even if they did just deposit it somewhere, it would be a harmless jack-o-lantern.
