Alone at Last
Orin ChesterOrin boarded the train quickly, careful not to make contact with anyone. He frantically searched the long aisle for an empty compartment and then, finally, he found one.
Alone at last, he thought with a sigh of relief. The boy reached up and placed his luggage in the designated compartment, then sat down on one of the cushioned velvet seats. Orin slid the compartment door closed and relaxed back into his seat.
He was alone and safe.
Orin fidgeted with his fingers for a while, then opted to take out one of his books to read. After a careful moment's consideration, he decided on his nonfictional text on dinosaurs. The prehistoric creatures had always fascinated him. One could say they were his favorite thing to learn about.
He opened the book and dove in to the wonderful display of knowledge that it brought. It was already bookmarked to Orin's favorite page" all about ankylosaurs.
They were the best. The ankylosaurus was a smaller dinosaur, but in no way the weakest. Orin loved how their armor could protect them from even the strongest of predators.
The blonde's gaze moved to his tan trench coat. In its own little way, that jacket was Orin's armor, just like his father told him.
Suddenly, the train started to move. Orin yawned. Maybe I'll take a little nap... He shut his eyes, book still open on his lap.

Alone at Last
Jonathan wandered down the train looking worried. All of the compartments seemed to be filling fast. He was rather intimidated to sit with older students especially those who had already been sorted. He didn't think they would take well to a brand new student trying to sit with them. He breathed a sigh of relief when he looked into a compartment and saw a boy his age who looked new to Hogwarts too.
The boy was about his height and looked asleep. Jonathan wasn't sure if he should wake the boy to ask to sit with him or just take the opposite seat and hope not to wake him. He decided to take the second course of action seeing as this was the only compartment he found so far that was this empty.
Jonathan quietly slid the compartment door open open and pulled his trunk inside. He gently slid the door shut once more. Trying not to make too much noise as he did so, he lifted his trunk with a small huff as it was rather heavy. He slowly lifted it and tried set it down softly but he dropped it harder than he meant to and it came down with a soft thump. Jonathan quickly sat down turning to see if he had woken the other boy.

Nerves still high from almost crashing into a wall, Lulee looked around for an empty compartment finding none and still jittery looked for one with people her age. Shyly she peeked into compartments trying to find someone who looked nice at least to sit with.
Some were to loud finally settling on the quietest compartment that had two boys sitting there one was sleeping while the other just barely looked at the other? She turned around almost about to run to find an empty one though she doubted there was any.
“No Lulee” she whispered to herself “you can do this, social interaction thingy.”
She turned back a round, breathed in breathed out and timidly knocked on the door and said
“H-hi all the other compartments are full, may I sit here” she quickly spoke “I-I mean I understand if you don’t want me to”she nervously shuffled her feet and looked at the floor. “I-I could just go now” she said slowly backing off.

Jonathan was enjoying his initial train ride to Hogwarts. They had just pulled out of the station and he was observing the buildings of London going swiftly by. He pondered for a moment if muggles could see the train or if magic hid it from their view. It wasn't as if the train had a very magical appearance from the outside. His ponderings were interrupted when he heard someone outside the compartment.
Jonathan looked up as he heard the compartment door slide open once more. The other boy had not stirred when he sat down so Jonathan assumed the sound of his trunk had not woken him. He smiled at the girl who had opened the door. He held a finger up to his mouth and patted the spot next to him. He was hopeful to make a friend on the way to the castle.
He whispered as to not wake the other boy from his slumber, "Hello there, my name is Jonathan. I'm guessing from how you seem quite unsure as where to sit you're a first year too." He pushed the hair back out of his face before smiling again. "I don't think he'll mind," he said pointing at the sleeping boy. "As long as were not too loud that is." Jonathan gave her crooked grin, "Best not to try all the different exploding spells I've been eager to try."

Lulee sighed in relief when the boy accepted her. She took a seat beside him as he told her his name, Jonathan and about some exploding spells.
“That’s quite interesting” she took a breath and whispered “you can call me Lulee, though I hope, I’m not a bother Jonathan.”
She broke off gently biting her cheek nervously.
“Umm what’s your favorite color since we should get to know each other maybe…” she said nervously then whispered “mines white.” She was extremely new to the magic world and hoped she wasn’t coming off as a scared bunny because she wasn’t, she was just wary of new people.

Alone at Last
Orin ChesterOrin woke with a start. Waves of emotions crashed upon his features, making his countenance virtually unreadable.
"Mmm...aaahh...??!" came the strange and incoherent noise out of him. His eyes widened at the sight of the two other children in front of him. Frantically, Orin began kicking his legs. He crawled up completely onto the seat and started hyperventilating.
His mind had completely shut down. He would never mean to cause a scene; it just always kind of happened. No matter how many times an event like now would happen, Orin had gotten no explanation for why it does. How he wish he could some days. That would have helped him back when he was younger, before he was home schooled...
Teeth clenched tight as can be, Orin's hands flew up to the earmuffs on his ears and pushed down onto them. The blonde boy shut his eyes and shook his head back and forth over and over again. It was repetitive and sparked way too many memories. Moments of panic in preparatory school flashed across Orin's mind, leaving no room of escape for him.
"Mm mm, mm mm, mm mm," he began repeating over and over again, still shaking his small head of wavy hair.OOC:
ReducioHi! So, I'm sure this response is extremely random, but Orin has autism, so this is a normal occurrence in regards to senses being overloaded. Forgive me for the way it's written, for it's my first time trying to write an autistic character.
I can see it might be hard to respond to this, so maybe Jonathan and Lulee could help Orin calm down somehow?
Also: thank you both for responding to my thread! I really appreciate it. I'm sorry for the delayed response; I've had work and school in the way of typing, so I had to write it out and catch up with new replies each day. Hope you both are doing alright!

Noticing that the sleeping boy wasn’t sleeping any more in-fact just now he was clutching his hair, while shaking his head and making frustrated noises.
“A-are you okay?” Lulee asked “what’s your n-name?” In perfect truth, Lulee was terrified that he didn’t want to be her friend and she’d be a miserable loner out in the magic school, Hargwarts or was it Hogwarts?
“Mr. Person-that-was-sleeping are you okay?” Lulee gulped “I’m Lulee” she took a breath the stuttered out nervously “s-should I l-leave, a-am I-I bothering you?” I’m truth she didn’t want to move because she has a friend or an acquaintance at least, besides the train already started moving. She nervously tugged her eyebrows.

Orin Chester"Mm! Mm!" Orin sounded pained now. He tried to open his eyes, wincing at the young girl in front of him. She was pretty. Messy brown curls framed her symmetrical face and she stared at him with crystal blue eyes.
“I’m Lulee,” she said quietly. “S-Should I l-leave? A-Am I-I bothering you?”
He couldn't read her expression; he just tried to focus on her words. Wait- She wasn't talking so loud... and she looked so nice. Maybe it wasn't bad as he thought. He stared down at the knees he had pulled up to his chest. No, no...
"O-Orin," came the soft reply to the young girl's previous question. He only looked down, for he was too scared to look up now. Besides, there was another child in there with them: a boy. He could talk too loud; one can never be too careful. Orin only saw him for a moment, though, so he wasn't sure what he looked like. The fear of him being aggressive or unreasonable ran through the blonde's mind a bit too much for him to figure out for himself.
Orin's lip trembled and his big brown eyes began to involuntarily tear up. He didn't know what to do any longer.
