I’m sorry for my sudden disappearance for nearly a whole month - and especially sorry if you have been searching for me around. I have been busy settling down during the whole past month, and now I finally have some spare time to sit down and write.

It might sound like quite a joke, but I am now in Italy with my mother. Some unexpected things happened to my family this summer, and my mother is now seriously ill that she has to leave England for therapy. As a result, I am taking care of her in Naples where she is receiving treatment.

I am ignorant of my exact returning date - but I suppose it will be at least delayed until next spring. Maybe summer even, I don’t know. I have to wait until my mother gets better. I might come back to England for Christmas, but everything has not been determined yet. Though I will be back eventually. This goodbye is just temporary, and please don’t worry about me.

Italy is indeed very different from the UK, and I miss you guys as well as Hogwarts so much. Do tell me everything that happened during my absence when I’m back. However, remember to take care of yourselves - that’s the most important thing. Don’t get distracted by those rumours and monsters (I mean, if there’s any that show up - but hopefully there’s not). Survive the year, and we’ll meet soon.

If you wish, I can continue writing to you so that we may keep in touch. Just please don’t forget me. Miss you so much. Lots of love to all of you.
