Happy Birthday Slug Queen
Backdated to August 3rd, 2021Today was Aurora's birthday and Samantha being a good make-up buddie had bought her friend something. She had gotten a pack of jelly slugs and a birthday card. Samantha knew that Aurora had this weird obsession with slugs, so the jelly slugs seemed like a nice gift and candy was always good.
Sam had written a little card for her friend and had used a school owl to deliver the card and the gift. She had wrapped the present with wrapping paper that she had made herself. The girl had looked up a drawing of a slug and copied it a couple times in a word document to create a pattern of slugs on the paper. It would have been way easier to draw the slugs, but Samantha wasn't good at drawing so she had printed it.
Normally Samantha would have given the card and present herself, but she couldn't. Aurora was at summer camp and Samantha was in the Netherlands, so that made it impossible to see Aurora in person. The fact that Samantha was in the Netherlands was also the reason why the card had a Dutch text on it. Samantha had forgotten to buy a card on her own, so her Dutch grandma had given Samantha a card. The only birthday card that their was for a child had been the one with the text: "Een dikke knuffel omdat jij vandaag jarig bent." Which means something along the lines of: "A big hug, because it is your birthday today."[font=Lucida Handwriting] Hello Aurora!
