Battle Of Wits

With the school year just started off and the first official dueling matches creeping closer into view. It seems since the prior year dueling has become a lot more popular throughout Hogwarts, with all years looking for any excuse they could to pull out their wands. That was when a mysterious sign-up sheet for three unofficial stages of duels has been posted in the small hall, for all students to wirte down their names if their interested in joining.

OOC Information

Welcome on to the first improper duels of 2021! These duels will be unofficial but the winning team will receive a chocolate frog and some galleons for winning the duels. The duels will operate with the same mechanics and rolls that official duels are operated and modded by either duelists or others who know the dueling system.

This a chance for those who haven't had a chance to take part in a duel before to step up on the platform and try their luck in dueling. Because of this, the sign-up aren't a first come first serve sign up but instead the other mods and I crated the following priority list

1. Any and All Hogwarts students of any years who never participate in a duel or quidditch game

2. Waitlisted duelists

3. Quidditch players

4. Duelists

Duel Information

The mods for the game will be myself, @Rose Moon, @Cassandra Ironwoods, @Lucia Fox, and @Cody Stevenson

The five of us will make up the teams, we will try our best to keep them as fair as possible looking at years, houses, and number of spells in everyone's trunks. Each team will be assigned one of the following mods for their duel and will send in their actions/strategies to them each round so each team can have actions. Similar to what happens in a offical duel.

The Game

Battle Of Wits. The game will be three stages similar to the official duels. However since these aren't official duels, the mandatory 200 word limit set on the site is still in place for this game.

~The First Stage~

There will be 12 teams engaging in 6 duels. IC; 4 will be in the morning and 2 will be in the afternoon.
The 6 winners of the first stage then moves onto the second stage.

~The Second Stage~

The remaining 6 teams will be engaging in 3 duels. IC; all 3 the will be set for the morning of the day after the first stage.
The 3 winners of the second stage then moves onto the third stage.

~The Third Stage~

The remaining 3 team will engaged in 2 duels. Both set in the morning and the winner of the third stages wins the Battle Of Wits and a few treats.

Winning Team ~ 2 chocolate frogs and 2 galleons
Second Place ~ 2 chocolate frogs, 1 galleon, and five sickles
Third Place - 1 chocolate frog, 6 sickles
First Stage Unconscious ~ 1 chocolate frog
Second Stage Unconscious ~ 1 chocolate frog
