Sevcon is a Sensitive, Timid girl with many qualities that define her. She was born in Ireland and was raised in a small home, not too luxurious, but comfortable enough to live in with her father's wages. Her father wasn't the best at dealing with her spontaneous actions and quick reactions in extreme ways; most of the time, she was left to read literature from a room with two bookshelves lined with books in both magical lineage and magical creatures. She had no formal education in a school, but instead was taught by her father in all basic subjects needed to be taught.
She had a great degree of knowledge for the subjects from her father, who had intentionally taught her to the levels of hogwarts' standards; he wanted her ready for her future years at hogwarts and especially wanted his daughter to have the best opportunities he could have given her access to.
They have a magical lineage that goes back very far in years, most of the family ending up in Slytherin or Ravenclaw. Their family isn't too well known, but has some rare traits in some of the family; she never really had a spark for her family's history.
She didn't make any friends in her past, it wasn't really an easy thing for her to even try as of her antisocial behaviour; she had no reason to stay and make friends, so she didn't, and she's fine with it. She knew of only her father, grandmother and grandfather in the family, and her mother had only one child other than Sevvy. A boy named Krillin Auream. Krillin left the family and changed his last name however, so she never really got to meet him.
Sevcon had one thing she really loved to do when she got the chance; she adored animals, specifically reptilians and salamanders, and so when she visits marshes or zoos, she searches around for them and feeds them. She preferred both Snakes and Axolotls.
It was on one of these days that she displayed her first case of magic, albeit accidentally, but whilst she was watching the axolotls in an aquarium, she displayed too strong of a will to go in and play with the creatures, unintentionally causing the aquarium's access door to unlock and open slightly for her. She went into the area, but didn't think it would really be a good idea to go near the creatures for risk of incidents or agitation to the Axolotls.
The next day, her father gave her the letter to Hogwarts that was quickly delivered by owl to their house after the magic had happened yesterday, coincidentally on her 11th birthday. An enjoyable day for her birthday.
During the days after she had received the letter to hogwarts, she was curious about whether her magic would work again, since it had before, and so eager she was, she tried to use her father's wand for anything, but it wouldn't work for her yet, no matter how many times she'd yelled an incantation as her father demonstrated to her.
Since she was a little disheartened by such events, her father decided to demonstrate a spell by her request: Serpensortia; and she had fun with the snake on that day, progressing into wanting a dangerous pet of her own, which led to a whole other group of events... (how Sevcon got the desire to get Ignis, an "exotic" snake pet.)

Sevcon has always loved snakes and axolotls, and one day she figured out that talking to animals aren't as hard as they really seem.
She wasn't too aware of the special "affinity" her family had in slitherin house, let alone the very odd placements of pets in the family. Snakes as pets, a family tradition one could say about it; but it's more fate than any traditional ways. The family wasn't ever too talkative with wizard kind, yet so closely interlinked with the fabrics woven through an ancient lineage.
Many in her family had not chosen snakes for pets, per se, but more as in made a best friend that would assist and advice them. Her family have the rare ability to speak with snakes as they do,
a true affinity for communication and relations with snakes.
She herself inherited this power for herself from her mother that was never there for her. She learned not much about it, but one thing was certain for her: she was meant to have the gift, to hide it or show it, her lineage is a proud one, and so should she be.
Her father hadn't heard of his wife having such a knowledge in her family. Sevcon hadn't displayed many instances of using parseltongue, however one of the times she had, she managed to develop a bond with a particular, very deadly snake.
She was with her father, and she had asked for an "exotic" pet; it just so happened that her father knew one man that dealt with animals all over the world, and he owned one secretive shop withing Ireland. When her and her father went into the shop, they took a look at the very dangerous animals and came face to face with an enclosure of snakes, namely the Atheris Hispada otherwise known as the spiny Bush viper, and as the father went to ask of how safe the enclosures really were, Sevcon had her eyes on a blue and red variation of the vipers.
The snake had given eye contact back to her as to others it made a hiss, but to her, it had spoke to her. "what isss it that you look at, little one..?" the viper queried at her, and almost instinctively, she spoke back with a hasty reply; "I'm looking.. At you. Your scales look beautiful, why are you trapped in this place?" she threw back with a question of her own to the snake. "my name issss Ignisss. And that man took me for hiss own profit.. Care to let me free..? Itsss been sso long since I could talk with a witch or wizard.." Ignis remarked to her, taking a liking to the girl's ability, and getting somewhat captivated by the influence of such an ability.
She saw how the snake was, and came up with a quick plan, and although she'd fool her own father, she felt it was worth it for such a friendly and mistreated creature. She asked her father for the snake, as she had convinced him he could always prevent trouble with magic if it goes awry, but even he had to admit, he liked the look of the snake; and so he bought it for his daughter by bargaining with his old friend for the snake, paying only a few galleons for it too, trusting his daughter that she knew what she could do for it and how to take care of it correctly.
At that day, Sevcon had gotten both a new friend, and learned of her ability; and most of all, how much she really cares for creatures, whether magical or minute, she loved to try and help those who deserved or asked of such help. Her ability of parseltongue would only make it easier, and make it much more intriguing to achieve.
(note to those that read this; I will not include Ignis in any way shape or form except as a conversational topic whilst the snake would be at her home. Unless specifically given permission by the team of hogwarts.io, I will not add this snake as a pet for my character within hogwarts, nor break any rules by having the snake be physically present within my rp unless I were given such a privilege.)
